Cheap Quiet Basic Budget Bungalows”
Great for anyone travelling on a budget. We extended our stay here at a cost of 500baht/night which we thought was more then reasonable. Situated in a quiet area of the island, the rooms are very basic but clean and comfortable. Mosquito net, fan and warm shower. Make sure you use repellent in the evenings as the mosquitos did seem to be worse here then other parts of Koh Chang. There was a very good cheap local restaurant around the corner or if you want to splurge out on sea food then head for the pier. Motor bikes are available for hire from 150baht from the hair salon on the right hand side as you drive into Bang Bao. We enjoyed are stay here more then anywhere else on the island, although you would have to use taxis or get a motorbike if you want to go the beach.

Lovely huts, great location.”

Tranquil, definite value for money”
The restaurant was not open at the time of our stay. It is a ten minute walk from the nearest beach (Bang Bao Beach) and only seconds from Bang Bao Pier (great number of restaurant options, post office, some cafes, laundry, diving stores). But, Bang Bao is the opposite end of the island where you arrive on the ferry. This is fine if you want to stay in this area, but taxi fare prices will stack up over time if you intend to move around (e.g. it costs 150 baht pp from ferry to Bang Bao). Hut facilities are quite good, bathrooms are pleasant, some holes in our mosquito net, secure and safe place, quiet and tranquil surrounds. Ideal for a sleepy couple. Close to Cliff Cottage Cove for snorkeling :).

Quiet peaceful location”
really important to note that bang bao is not a beach resort. it's a fishing village on stilts over the sea, linked by a series of piers. if you want the beach, book another part of the island. the promo photos must have been taken a few years ago. the huts are basic, old but clean and have mossy nets. we paid extra for a sea view and a hot shower. very very peaceful and quiet. nice jungle sounds to soothe you to sleep. the whole resort is a ghost town after ten pm. lovely landscaped gardens and nice chill out areas. perfect place to relax. all thats missing is a hammock or a comfy chair on the terrace to enjoy the view.

nice location”
It's a nice place very close to Bang bao, which allows you to spend the night right before the trip to some other islands ( Koh Kood, Koh Mak)or taking a boat for diving/snorkeling next day. there are plenty of other guesthouses in bang bao along the pier, but this one provides a bit more privacy. The huge disadvantage is that there's no good beach nearby. the bungalows are very small and really simple, i guess it's just worth the price

Novel experience of a basic Thai hut”
The Remark Puzi complex comprises of a number of raised Bamboo huts, set just by the waterfront near the pier. The accommodation is basic but novel and the place itself was lovely and quiet. The staff weren't amazingly friendly when we arrived and the water flow of the shower was rubbish but that all went part and parcel of the novel experience. Be warned though, these huts are largely open to the elements and you are likely to get bugs in your room!

Comfortable stay and excellent management”
Decent stay at the Remark Puzi. The manager (Indian fellow) was very helpful and easy going. It's a very quiet environment far away from the main strip. Good spot to bring a book and enjoy the cove/pier.

Great Location”
Overpriced but very pretty basic hut on stilts in the lovely Bang Bao area of Ko Chang. Everything around this part is now getting too expensive

You get what you pay for”
Very basic accomodation, but right for the price. The location is near ideal, next to the busy pier, but away from the hustle and right on the beach. For slightly masochistic romantics who value quietness, sunsets on the beach and creaky old huts. The management is not Thai and lacks the characteristycal charm and smile, even the dogs on the premise can be quite unfriendly at night (keep a stick at hand!)

Quiet beach hut”
No A/C so it will get hot. Holes everywhere, mosquitos are a pain. Some ingenuity and a coathanger (provided) is needed to keep windows open. Room is rather small. Varieties of bugs and insects inside.

There is better for same price.”
There is better places to stay for the same price, cliff cottage for ex. You get what you pay for. Its a very simple bungalow for backpackers. If you go to this area I recommend you to live on the pier.

Not a great stay”
Our stay at remark wasn't great. There was huge Holes in the mosquito net, they say there is a restaurant on site but we didn't see one? They also say this property has wifi which they don't. Our room had cockroaches and the young lad working reception could not speak a word of English. We booked 3 nights here but left after 2.
