“Hotel Close To Everything ”
We arrived to be told that there was only one Delux room and the staff offered a cash refund for some of the money for our second room to be dropped to a standard room, which was fine. We were on the first floor which is fine, both rooms are extremely large and faces the street with a small balcony, but this also ment that it faces the resort opposite which has tourist buses each morning till late evening, the rooms get a substantial rumble from the rear motors which means morning sleep on is a impossible mission. This is not the hotels fault, but is worth considering if your given a low floor number room. Our upper Delux room features a bath. With no stand in shower so you need to sit in the bath to shower with a hose. The bath also moved around as it wasn't secured well, and extremely slippery getting in and out due to th floor and the lip of the bath. This is a no go for elderly, unless a rubber mat could be supplied. The moment we opened the door on this room it had a mouldy smell. The windows were open to allow a breeze but at night the noise restricts this so, you have to make do with getting used to the smell. The room was clean and there was no evidence where it was coming. From, but after much thought we noticed the floor board panels (fake flooring) had large gaps in it and think it may come from under the floor panels which has large gaps in parts between them. It was something that wasn't about cleanliness but I stead age and need of maintenance. Breakfast in the photos isn't what your getting at this resort, yes the buffet stations are there from perhaps ten years ago but the breakfast is a option from a menu in multi languages and offers a simple choice. It's simple and you need to ask for simple thing like butter, but a simple basic start to the day. The pool and lbar is situated on top of the building, pool is maintained ok, the bar is sad, with littl support from the elements or a nice place to enjoy a late night drink, with the staff interested in there mobiles more than conversation and service. The location is in the heart of everything, lovely local walks and night time haunts for everyone. This area really specialises in Russian interests. The hotel is very basic and affordable, it's clean and front door staff are friendly and always welcoming. The hotel is just tired but I'm under the understanding. There are some upgrades happening at th moment and it's worth the look for a short simple stay, off from the lower floors.
