Four Days in Hong Kong”
I spent 4 days at the Renaissance Harbourview on my way home from a trip to Europe. I had some business to attend to in Hong Kong and, otherwise, to catch up with friends, see some of Hong Kong and get my body clock back in sync. The Harbourview was perfect for my needs. My room was very comfortable and the room service very sensible about my odd sleeping patterns. Net access was easy and reasonably priced. The tariff was very reasonable. I had dinner at the Dynasty Restaurant one night - excellent food and service - in-room dining on another night, again excellent food and efficient service. Laundry service was efficient and reasonably priced, and very handy after two weeks in Europe. When I told staff that my flight to Australia was leaving late at night and asked for a late check out they were very helpful (I think I paid an extra half day but that was more than worth it). The Renaissance Harbourview was very conveniently located close to transport, whether the MTR or a more leisurely trip on the Wanchai Star Ferry, shops and restaurants. A short cab ride took me to Causeway Bay for dinner one night, another to Pacific Place the following night.
simply Hong Kong”
As always, Renaissance Harbour View Hotel has become our first choice when visiting Hong Kong for work. The view over the Victorian Bay from the hotel room is just amazing. You can easily imagine how the old junks and merchant ships travelled on this water some hundreds years ago. Today the modern Hong Kong cityscape is simple one of the most appealing in the world. The dinning experience in this very comfortable hotel is always a pleasure. This time the bbq buffet at the poolside offers the best food and the best enjoyment of the warm weather. WE WILL BE BACK.
Great Location, Fantastic Facilities”
I would highly recomend this hotel, we stayed in a suite and were treated to the club facilities - well worth the extra$$$. Fantastic location in wanchai, nestled right between Central and Causeway Bay.Fantastic views back over the harbour to Kowloon. With the MTR 2 min walk from hotel and the Star Ferry terminal on the hotels doorstep the Renaissance Harbour View boasts the enviable title, in my opinion, of best location in Hong Kong.
Stay at the Harbour Renaissance late in the year”
I stayed in the Renaissance Harbour View for 6 nights in Dec. 2008. The staff were quite friendly and knowledgeable. I had a bit of an intermittent problem with the internet modem in my room and they had to send someone up to the room to fix it twice. The hotel is conveniently located near Central if you are staying for business and you can easily walk to the tube (MTR) to access the Hong Kong mass transit. Or, take the Wanchai ferry to Tsim Sha Tsui in the evening for a great cheap view of the harbor. The buffets were really good. I tried the Chinese and the Italian restaurants as well. They were very nice, but I found the Italian restaurant a bit expensive and their wine markup seem to be a bit high. The fitness center was good, even though you had to go to out onto the courtyard on the 7th floor and walk across to the fitness center located in the Hyatt.
great rooms and view”
stayed here as a couple in jan 2013. have stayed at the renaissance harbour view several times on business in hk, and would recommend it without hesitation. good modern rooms, and very handy location if you have business at the convention centre. even if you aren't attending an event at the convention centre, the hotel is worth a stay for the harbour views, and as a bonus its very close (ie a short walk) to the star ferry terminal and the wanchai mtr. good pool area, and the upgrade to the club lounge is good value too - wonderful views, good service, and more refined setting.
For The Love Of My Daughter”
It is not often that I get to spend quality time with my daughter. So when the opportunity came for us to spend a couple of days in Hong Kong I wanted only that she had a memmorable experience. the Renaissance harbour view with its lovely views, fiendly service, great comfortand fine dining provided exactly what we were looking for Thank You
good business hotel”
renaissance hong kong is not far away from the underground, and the location is very good and suitable for business trips, it is situated in the city centre and has a good view of the sea. the room is spacious and the hotel staffs are helpful and friendly, the hotel food is also tasty. i will defintely stay at the same hotel next time.
We have visited Hong Kong every year for 25 years and during that time have tried many of the top hotels. The Renaissance Harbour View compares very favourably and I would recommend it. The staff are extremely helpful - in the lobby there was even someone walking around the floor just offering to help anyone who looked puzzled. He saved us a wait in the queue by booking a table for us in their very good Chinese restaurant. The rooms are comfortable, although a little short of storage space. A piece of furniture with drawers, or some shelves, would he a improvement. The location is perfect if, like us, you are working in the Convention Centre. Otherwise it is in a bit of a no man's land with quite a walk to Central or Causeway Bay. On the plus side the food is excellent in all the restaurants and the breakfast would be hard to improve!
Contemporary decor and efficient friendly service”
We had two adjoining rooms, as asked - non smoking and were not expecting a view of the harbour, 28th floor. They termed it "garden view". Just renovated, lovely finishes, fresh fruit in room each day. Buffet was best ever, so many choices. After hassle of Hong Kong it was wonderful to come back to the hotel. Italian restaurant had excellent & unusual menu. Live music in the bar, easy access to shopping centre and star ferry. Would definitely stay here again.
Great hotel with Excellent service”
Excellent room, and probably the best hotel on Hong Kong island for the price. Staff is excellent, great view and location in Wanchai is great. If I was asked for an area to improve, it would be the large beds in the room aren't the most comfortable when they take two single beds and put them together. Everything else was 5 star, and the room is spacious, new and clean.
Front and Centre for the New Years Eve Fireworks”
Very smooth check-in. Stayed on the 39th Floor, overlooking the Harbour. Absolutely amazing views. Very large, comfortable room. Enjoyed the 2 hours of complimentary coctails and canapes in the 40th Floor lounge. Breakfast had a huge selection of very tasty food. Close to the MTR/Tram, so traveling around Hong Kong and Kowloon was very easy. Staff were very helpful and efficient. Would highly recommend this Hotel again.
Really convenient hotel with high quality”
We had a great time here and the hotel was so central in the city it was so easy to get around. It is also right next to good areas such as Wanchai district so it is easy to find food and drink and shopping. The poor is lovely and the food is sensational at the actual hotel. We drank lychee martini at the bar downstairs and had the most amazing chip and dip I have ever had in my life. All in all I think it was very reasonably prices for the accommodation, food and service that we received. I will definitely return shall I be in Hong Kong again.
Great Hotel for Business Travels”
Renaissance Harbourview Hotel in Wanchai is my hotel of choice whenever I come to Hong Kong for business or leisure. It's location in Wanchai is fantastic. Very accessible. The Hotel itself is very modern and contemporary. It's decor and ambience is very international, and the staff all speak English. The rooms are very comfortable and the hotel has great amenities. I find the hotel very useful for business meetings, and the food in the restaurant is of high quality. Definitely recommend this place to other business travellers in Hong Kong.
WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!!”
we got a clean and spacious room that has the most breathtaking harbour view! we have been to many hotels in Hong Kong but this one takes the prize! the service was excellent and with good attitude! The manager Ms Seo even sent us a full bottle of red wine to wish us a good weekend! Now how do you top that one???
Nice and convenient hotel in a central location”
We had a good trip to Hong Kong and the whole experience was made easier by the hot and the location an service it provided. The staff are very friendly and more than willing to accommodate. Although, not the most beautiful hotel, the food, drink and price made it still the best option for us/ ll. Wanchai area can be a little shady and I don't recommend a trip by yourself. Local food bars around the hotel tend to be nicer than the in house exuberant costs and the food around is safe and delicious. Will definitely return. Loved it!
best location closest to exhibition ”
the room was reasonably sized, I got a room on level 16, the view wasn't too great, as it was facing the construction area but I like the cold aircondition, which is really cold & with a thick puffy blanket makes my sleep very comfortable. this is the best hotel for Hong Kong Exhibition, it's just 1 minute walk connected to the exhibition area (without going outside). this probably my 1st choice of hotel for Hong Kong Exhibition.
overall this hotel was very good good service polite staff and good location. the rooms were a little on the small side but clean and tidy. breakfast buffet was a treatand manager was very attentive. the staff were polite and helpful and we did get free upgrade to harbour view room which was very nice to relax and watch the shps go by. close to star ferry for kowloon and also wanchai for bars and restaurants. good central location for acess to hong kong island.
best location hotel for exhibition”
I'm reviewing this on behalf of my brother which stays in level 23. the view was spectacular, the window facing the river or lake just above the exhibition center. it's like the room was inside the spaceship. but the best of all was the convenience to walk to the exhibition center. you won't find better hotel than this for Hong Kong exhibition.
Great hotel with amazing views”
Overall very nice stay at the Renaissance during the holidays. I went on my birthday, and the staff upgraded my reservation to a harbour view room, which was a very nice and unexpected bonus after a long flight from the U.S. The room was very nice with good amenities, and it was relatively easy to get to with easy access to many parts of town. It is largely a convention and business hotel, but I would definitely stay there again even for another personal trip to HK.
Hong kong and its big Hotels”
Hong Kong from an excellent location. The hotel location was a very good one allowing ease of connection to various parts of the city especially that it had connection with the Metro through built links that cross the streets of the city all the way to the station. The hotel provided a friendly atmosphere an excellent view on the harbour and different activities and sports as swimming through an external pool which many visitors benefitted from its presence in spite of the cloudy unpleasant weather. The clean rooms showing the harbour were an entertainment in itself.Hong Kong as they say is an excellent place to visit in Autumn.
