No Large Bed”
I thought I provided my credit card info to Agoda, I thought my room was secured and my request on Large Bed should be fulfilled, but when I was checking in at the hotel, they said they were out of Large Bed and I would have to take the room with 2 beds, not one Large Bed. Of course, I was a bit pissed off and they said Agoda only guarantees the reservation, but c Agoda did not request any Large Bed. Eventhough I got room with Large Bed, but I have to go through a lot if trouble. I have no idea it was the hotel problem or Agoda's problem, it gave me ideas next time might have to consider to book directly with the hotel is better. In addition, Agoda does say at the booking that special request might not be fulfilled, request on Large Bed is not that difficult to meet!
Poor signage to meeting rooms. Cannot find meeting rooms as the doors are hidden to blend with the wall - STUPID! Room doors slam when shut as very noisy. Skip this over-priced hotel as better options exist in Hong Kong.
very good location if you attend the fair in convention center
Room was small, club lounge foods were normal, but view and services are good.
Great hotel and location, but expensive.
Still my favourite and I have stayed in a few in this range in HK.
Best hotel Best staff Beat location for exhibition”
Best hotel Best staff Best location for exhibition Best breakfast Worth my money. Appreciate all staff at ground floor to help me follow goods from sfexpress after I checked out . Very sincerely staff and convenient to walk from exhibition hall and hotel . Hotel room clean and beautiful harbour view
Suitable for visiting family in the region”
Spacious room. there's a shopping mall with restaurants and supermarkets right downstairs. The indoor kid's club is also great and there's a very nice large park next to the hotel. there's a light railway station right in front of the hotel and it's easy to get taxi. The only sightseeing point nearby is the Tin Shui Wai Wetland. So even though it's a little bit off the city center, it's generally satisfactory. There are only two or three hotels in this part of Hong Kong. It was good enough for us to visit family in Tuen Mun.
Good but some ongoing let downs.”
There's two things that tarnish my stay here, one is the lack of enough counter staff to handle the peak times. Too many people book tours and arrange other activities at reception causing huge back logs of people trying to check in or out. My solution next time is don't check out and let them send a bill. The other issue is taxis as the waiting area is frequented by non patrons extending the wait time. Those issues aside, great location, very clean nice hotel.
best location hotel for exhibition”
I'm reviewing this on behalf of my brother which stays in level 23. the view was spectacular, the window facing the river or lake just above the exhibition center. it's like the room was inside the spaceship. but the best of all was the convenience to walk to the exhibition center. you won't find better hotel than this for Hong Kong exhibition.
best location closest to exhibition ”
the room was reasonably sized, I got a room on level 16, the view wasn't too great, as it was facing the construction area but I like the cold aircondition, which is really cold & with a thick puffy blanket makes my sleep very comfortable. this is the best hotel for Hong Kong Exhibition, it's just 1 minute walk connected to the exhibition area (without going outside). this probably my 1st choice of hotel for Hong Kong Exhibition.
Great hotel with Excellent service”
Excellent room, and probably the best hotel on Hong Kong island for the price. Staff is excellent, great view and location in Wanchai is great. If I was asked for an area to improve, it would be the large beds in the room aren't the most comfortable when they take two single beds and put them together. Everything else was 5 star, and the room is spacious, new and clean.
Fantastic location with a great swimming pool”
I would highly recommend this hotel. The location is fantastic, right in the middle of Wan Chai overlooking the harbour. The swimming pool is the best thing about it, very large and has many sun loungers.
Great hotel with amazing views”
Overall very nice stay at the Renaissance during the holidays. I went on my birthday, and the staff upgraded my reservation to a harbour view room, which was a very nice and unexpected bonus after a long flight from the U.S. The room was very nice with good amenities, and it was relatively easy to get to with easy access to many parts of town. It is largely a convention and business hotel, but I would definitely stay there again even for another personal trip to HK.
quality hotel ”
bed is very comfortable, very nice harbour view, breakfast served was very nice, very wide spread, lunch buffet is also very nice too (not inclusive) quite centralize location and near to the convention hall which is very convenient for business traveller like me..
excellent sea view”
very satisfied and worth for the money and nice view clean room very friendly and from terrace bar and restaurant is very good for dining and next to international far center for business meeting conference rooms that all you need it.best regards
Very good facilities, quiet yet near the city”
easily accessible to the mrt, have taxi stand at the front door. have lot of eateries in the area. very close to cwb or central; right beside the hong kong exibition center. it makes a good place to stay for vacation or for a business trip. i have enjoyed my stay.
Really convenient hotel with high quality”
We had a great time here and the hotel was so central in the city it was so easy to get around. It is also right next to good areas such as Wanchai district so it is easy to find food and drink and shopping. The poor is lovely and the food is sensational at the actual hotel. We drank lychee martini at the bar downstairs and had the most amazing chip and dip I have ever had in my life. All in all I think it was very reasonably prices for the accommodation, food and service that we received. I will definitely return shall I be in Hong Kong again.
Nice and convenient hotel in a central location”
We had a good trip to Hong Kong and the whole experience was made easier by the hot and the location an service it provided. The staff are very friendly and more than willing to accommodate. Although, not the most beautiful hotel, the food, drink and price made it still the best option for us/ ll. Wanchai area can be a little shady and I don't recommend a trip by yourself. Local food bars around the hotel tend to be nicer than the in house exuberant costs and the food around is safe and delicious. Will definitely return. Loved it!
Great location and fantastic room. ”
room is well maintained and clean. location of hotel is excellent with f&b outlets nearby and covered linkway to the mtr. staff are friendly. only con is that free wifi is only available at the lobby and tv channels quite limited. room service selection too limited also.
