This moderately priced and centrally located hotel in the middle of the famous Rocks area is an excellent choice for those looking to stay central. It is just a few minutes from many points of interest such as the Sydney Harbor Bridge, The Sydney Opera House, Circular Quay, as well as a myriad of dining and shopping options. Most previous visitors to the Rocks area have later indicated that it is the only place to stay in Sydney for a spectacular vacation. With such a great location, a fair price, and better-than-average rooms for the money, Rendezvous Hotel Sydney The Rocks should definitely be considered when visiting the bustling city of Sydney.

Stayed in a studio with balcony and harbour views. The location was excellent lots of great bars and restaurants in the area plus the weekend markets at the end of the street. The view from the balcony was spectacular will definitely stay here again.
The location & views make this hotel GREAT!”
Based in Old Sydney ("The Rocks"), this is a prime walking location to all of the main attractions. Plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby. The views of Sydney Harbour from the 1-bedroom apartment were amazing! I got the best price for this room using Agoda.com. However, the room itself is very dated and is in need of renovation. The carpet is very worn and there were stains on the furniture. The floor is pretty scratched up as well. They do not serve breakfast, so you must go elsewhere. The front desk staff was the biggest disappointment. There seems to be a training issue. Our hotel shuttle to the airport took THREE times reminding to book for the next day, only to be scheduled on the wrong day so thank goodness we checked a 4th time. On the morning of, there were no checks in place to make sure that the right party took the scheduled shuttle as the front desk person just let another family take our shuttle and it took getting very angry with him to finally get us a taxi. Beware!
Great Location in The Rocks”
Great location for a visit to Sydney during the Vivid festival. We had a room at the back of hotel on the 2nd floor overlooking the pool. Even with a packed Rocks area (Vivid Festival, Hairdressers Ball just up the road and being a long weekend) the room was very quiet.
On arrival never had room that we asked for and was put into a room with twin beds and not large bed and on 2nd floor with an outlook of a corrugated fence. After complaining was moved to a 1 bedroom apartment on 3rd floor at front of building. This took them sometime to organise. Booking was made at least 3 months prior.
Hotel has excellent location at the Rocks. Harbor view room has great view of the Opera House if no cruise ship docked in between. Room is spacious with a fully equipped kitchen. Lobby has pretty sitting in the lounge area that provides free Nepresso coffee machine with choices of pods. Pool and jacuzzi area has changing rooms. Some minor painting on bathroom doors are needed.
Great location rooms need updating”
Rooms are dated, ants on balcony even after I asked front desk to have housekeeping to spray. Secondary lock to room did not work we used chair against the door. As we left the room I asked housekeeper to clean came back several hours later room still was not clean. We liked to location and the balcony space was nice.
Perfect location, good pricing”
Very close to Circular Quay, only 3-4 minutes walk. Plenty of restaurants and pubs around the corners. Very friendly and attentive staffs, making check-in and check-out as easy as it should be. We will certainly come again. Rooms are spacious and have a small kitchen. Thank you !
Cosy litte resort”
Cosy little resort. Rooms are kept very clean. The location is good, within walking distance to many places in Circular Quay, however the train station is not exactly 'next door' so if you have heavy luggage, it may be quite a strain to push the luggage from the train station to the hotel.
near the habour and comfortable staying”
Upgrade to Terrace room which is with a kitchen. Great loction just walking distance to Circular Harbour and Bridge .The Rocks bazar at weekend is fantastic. But checkout time is 10am, too early for me. and a little bit expensive.
A very relaxing stay”
The hotel room was huge and very luxuriously furnished. Comfortable bedding, small kitchenette, and clean bathroom with neat toiletries. We were given a room on the 2nd floor and didn't have a view outside the window (faced the back of another building), but that wasn't a big concern for us. Location was great (albeit a little touristy). 3min walk to the harbour with great views of the bridge and the opera house. Neighbourhood was also peppered with local restaurants. Short walk to George Street where all the shopping starts.
Great location, easy access to everything”
Very large room, comfortable stay. Easy to walk to attractions nearby. Pleasant warm and friendly staff. Room had kitchen which would have been great for a longer stay. By the way, hotel description or hotel staff should have warn us about paid carpark.
Great location with views”
Nice hotel with friendly staff. Perfectly located in the rocks close to all the sites and city. Great views of Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Some great old and new pubs near with some excellent dining.
best location and we had a huge balcony with a view of the bridge. just walk out the door into the best restaurants and pubs in sydney. My only remark is paying $40 a night as a guest to park my car there was too much. We will only stay there again if we do not have a vehicle.
Great view of the Sydney Opera ”
The stay was simply great albeit a very short 24 hours. Staff very friendly and offering great service. The room was a good size, spotlessly clean, with a balcony offering an impeccable view of the Opera and sideways of the famous Sydney Bridge. The heated swimming pool is also a great plus for this hotel. All in all a very pleasant experience.
Great place to stay”
Fantastic location. Walking distance to attractions, cafes, restaurants night life. Lovely boutique hotel great room with a view of the Opera House and Sydney harbour bridge . My husband and I wil definitely be back.
A short break”
The room was spacious. The staff were friendly and helpfulness. The location was great.
Easy walking to rocks/ circular key/George st etc ”
Have to go down the road for breakfast if so wished as No internal restaurant/bar. But not end of world asxrooms have basic kitchens if one is organised in advance. Happy stay
Great location, service & value 😊”
Easy stroll to restaurants, pubs, shops. 5min downhill flat walk to Circular Quay 😊⛴

Just walking distance from the Vivid highlights and close to wonderful world-class restaurants.
Good location. Good restaurants close by.
