We enjoyed the pleasant climate and excellent facilities. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable, and we loved the wonderful scent of the hotel. The interior design was beautiful, and the view was stunning. However, to give my honest review, parking was quite hectic as it is located in another hotel’s car park. Guests staying at SkyWorld Hotel have to park at the Resorts World Hotel car park, which, despite having many parking spaces, was often full. Many people had to double park or use no-parking areas, which made the experience inconvenient. Breakfast was served at Terrace Coffee, which is located inside the mall. Finding the place felt like solving a puzzle. We had to exit the hotel, enter the mall, take an escalator, and navigate through multiple turns. It was quite complicated, and we noticed other guests struggling with maps to locate the restaurant as well. It would be great if the hotel could address the parking situation and consider providing breakfast within the hotel itself for a more convenient experience.

Spacious and clean room with a great balcony view”
This is our second stay at Skyworld! If you prefer to be further away from the bustling scenes yet within walkable distance, this is the place for your stay at Genting Highlands. We loved the spacious and clean room. It comes with 2 vanity tops and a separate shower and toilet with closed doors. If you have a party of four, all can use the bathroom/ toilet at the same time (2 at the vanity tops, 1 in bathroom and 1 in toilet). This saves time and avoid the need to deconflict usage time. The view out of the balcony in the newer valley wing is breathtaking! We are greeted with the cool crisp air with a great view of the mountain side with Chin Swee Temple in the far distant.

I requested for high floor room. Room 7477 (quadruple room) is located in high floor with very great view, quiet sound at night, but quite far from the lobby, as it’s located at different building connected by skybridge. At afternoon-evening it’s quite noisy because you can hear people scream aloud while riding roller coaster which also can be seen from your front door window. But I heard from a friend that if you stay in low floor and at the main building facing the street, you will hear vehicles sounds which will be pretty annoying at night during your sleep. Check in progress took some time as I need the receptionist guidance because I can’t open the confirmation code they send to my number because of the roaming to my cellular data. If you don’t have any issue like mine, you can use fast check in counter. Also need to queue but a lot better than the receptionist. Obviously Skyworld theme park is right in front of the hotel. But if you want to go to SkyAvenue mall, you need to take a walk for around 5 minutes. To SkyCasino and Skytropolis around 10 minutes. Breakfast is at The Food Factory, which is First World Hotel’s breakfast place. Quite disappointed as I expected more selections because First World Hotel is known as world largest hotel. But the food selections is very little, maybe because not all guests purchased room with breakfast and prefer to eat outside the hotel. Also, First World Hotel and Skyworld Hotel is quite far, around 20 minutes walk. They actually provide shuttle bus to the hotel but it starts at 10.20 AM while the latest breakfast time is 10.30 AM. Lol. As Skyworld is a new renovated hotel, the room is tidy and clean. Hope it can be maintained for a long time. Male staffs at the receptionist is very friendly. While a female staff also at the receptionist is not really, even I am the one who greeted her good morning first before asking something.

Decent Stay”
Decent stay, considering the price when compared other hotels. Room is bigger than expected but cleanliness wise is not so up to expectation. Can see dust and stains on the wall, windows and in the toilet taps/mirrors. Can also see some metal parts of the room are rusty. Window handle is also broken when we check in. Stay in the Sixer type room and this room type is quite kid-friendly. Not suitable for a group of adults to stay in but will be good for family with kids. Amenities in the room is also limited. The small fridge in the room is also not cold. There is also no door to the toilet, just a simple curtain that you will see in some clothing stores fitting room. Although the toilet and shower area are individual stalls with doors, felt that there is not much privacy when using the toilet or showering as people can just walk in and out of toilet. The room is also not very noise/sound proof. You can clearly hear the next-door people talking or kids screaming. Even when people are walking along the corridor outside, you can also hear them talking or walking outside. During the night, you can also hear people walking loudly or stomping the ground. Stayed at level 2, beside a road and you can hear car’s engine passing by at night. As the room are quite close to ground level, people can just easily look into your room if you did not draw the binds down, especially for rooms that are close to the bridge nearby. People crossing the bridge can easily see your room. Location wise, the hotel is supposed to be next to the entrance of SkyWorld theme park. However, the entrance is having some renovation work and we need to take a 15 to 20 mins walk to the next park entrance. The closest mall is 5 mins walk away and a 10 mins walk to the nearest cable car station. Even for the hotel breakfast, it is located at another hotel that is roughly a 10 mins walk away. Compare to other hotels, this hotel is slightly more inaccessible to Genting’s attractions and malls. Overall, if you want a cheap and decent hotel stay, this might be your choice.
