Best Value 5-Star Hotel”
We were lucky to find Resorts World Hotel Michael promotion - Free Universal Studios and MEMA tickets for 2 nights stay. If you plan to visit these attractions, then the bundled rate's equivalent is equivalent to a 3-star hotel rate plus the attraction tickets - except that you are actually staying at a 5-star hotel right at the heart of Resorts World Sentosa Singapore, and just next to Universal Studios and MEMA. The rooms were great with all the 5-star appointments. Service was also great. And of course the convenience of staying in close to all the Sentosa-based attractions. Food choices were limitless - from hawker style street food to Michelin star awarded restaurant/s. Being in a foreign country, we of course preferred to eat the specialties of Singapore and Malaysia. Though admittedly, we missed burgers and pizza after two days and had to give in. Overall, our experience here was excellent!
It Doesn't get any better”
The Hotel Michael located in the heart of Sentosa Island is a great hotel with a location you can't beat. It's a 2 minute walk to the monorail, bus, Resorts World Casino, SeaWorld, Merlion, Universal Studios Singapore and fabulous restaurants. The staff is great, the rooms are very modern and the entire property is extremely well maintained. Upon checking, the beauty of this hotel just engulfs you with the warm and friendly attitude of the staff. They are there to help you with anything you need including discounted ticket to any of the Island's attractions. Getting to and from the city is easy using the monorail. There are so many things to do just on the island, you never have to leave. This is a hotel that I will highly recommend to everyone but if you can catch it during a discount offering, its definitely worth the stay. In fact, I've already re-booked it for my next stay in Singapore.
Great place for families”
i can't really comment on the hotel michael as when we went to check-in they upgraded us to crockfords tower which is a members only hotel and you can only stay there if invited. i read on other agoda reviews that this happened to other people staying there (particularly people with kids. the upgrade was phenomenol - we had just stayed at marina bay sands and this was stupendous in comparison - tv's in bathroom mirrors, 24 hour butler service, pillow menu, bath menu etc etc. it was the best hotel suite i have ever stayed in. while you can't guarantee getting upgraded i would say stay at the hotel michael on the off chance that you might! even if you do stay at the hotel michael, you can use all of the other resort world facilities - our kids loved the hardrock pool - and the hotel michael was cheaper when we booked. overall the rating below is based on our experience at crockfords and resort world itself.
Great location”
price - usd 216 / night (this was during grand prix weekend) place - you can easily take the mrt and then sentosa express to this hotel. from the sentosa express resorts world station, the hotel is about 3 flights of stairs away. but don't worry. escalators are available to help you with your luggage. the hotel is strategically placed almost in the middle of the resorts world area but it can also be a quiet and peaceful place to stay in as it's separated from the all the action service - wasn't really able to experience great nor bad service dining - like i said, this hotel is just a few minutes away from great dining places so get out of the hotel for meals. try malaysian street food, right by the entrance of universal, to experience malaysian hawker food. arton's is a good resto when you miss all that meat bed - very comfortable. made us almost late for the opening of universal bathroom - clean, spacious but not extravagant no bathtubs but modern facilities. toiletries are available but the liquids are placed in a dispenser so no freebie shampoo, conditioner or lotion for me
"Great hotel with comfort and spacious room"”
this is my third time i have stayed at hotel michael. every time i spend vacation in singapore, i choose this hotel because the hospitality and spacious room. don't forget the location in resort world sentosa gives easy acces to enjoy universal studio singapore and sentosa casino which i love. this hotel is very recommended for family and personal traveler whom seeking a pleasure.
the room quick nice and amazing for resort”
We stay Hotel Michael at Resorts World Sentosa because it like the home to Southeast Asia’s first-and-only Universal Studios theme park, the world’s largest oceanarium – Marine Life Park, the Maritime Experiential Museum, a casino, luxurious accommodation in six unique hotels, the Resorts World Convention Centre, celebrity chef restaurants, a world-class spa as well as specialty retail outlet.. The resort also offers round-the-clock entertainment including award-winning shows, concerts and public attractions such as the Crane Dance™ and the Lake of Dreams.
Location, location, location...”
We currently live in Singapore, but wanted a little 'escape' during our October break. 2 nights/3 days at Hotel Michael was just what we were looking for. They allowed us to check in a bit early and upgraded us to a Suite, which was a fantastic set-up. The family enjoyed the Maritime Museum, Universal Studios, and just strolling around Sentosa.Make sure and ride the new Transformer ride!! the hotel was lovely, staff friendly and helpful. Just great!! Plenty of dining options a short walk away. Can't speak in comparison to the other Resort Sentosa Hotels, but Hotel Michael was a winner!
Decent Hotel with great access to Sentosa”
Hotel Michael is presented as a 5-star hotel and the price certainly is 5-star. In terms of crowd-control and the way the check-in process was handled, it more resembled a 3-star hotel however. Check-in staff themselves were courteous and friendly with a professional appearance, but we had to wait close to 2 hours from our check-in slot before we could go and queue for a second time to do our check-in. By the time we got to our room, it was close to 5pm and we were hungry (as we had deferred our lunch). The room itself was clean and with a modern appearance. Although a small balcony was outside our room, it was inaccessible unless you were on a smoking floor (at least that's what I think as our door was locked). Which brings me to another point: smoking floors? really? Are those still available in upper-class hotels? Anyway, the breakfast sets were decent, with a choice of 3 sets. American Western, Pizza (for breakfast?) and Local Asian. Sets were delivered to your table (to avoid people crowding around a buffet spread, I assume), but the first day, our meal took close to an hour to arrive at our table. Guest services via the phone was difficult to reach as well. It took close to 15 minutes on hold before we could speak to someone. Wifi was decent (offered around all the hotels) but nothing exceptional. 3 devices maximum, which may cause issues for larger groups or kids who bring a bag full of devices. Overall, we had a great stay and the above points didnt affect our experience much. With access to a variety of shopping options and dining choices, this hotel is excellently located in the heart of Resorts World Sentosa with convenient access to both on-island facilities, as well as going off the island to Harbourfront. Highly recommended!
Greetings Abele, we appreciate you taking time out of your busy day to rate us and share a detailed feedback. We are pleased that our location was convenient for you and your stay was good overall. Your comments are very valuable to us at they only allow us to improve even further. We hope to welcome you back at RWS in the near future. Have a blessed day ahead! Marco Lam - Operations Manager
Great Hotel ”
overall the stay at hotel michael was beyond my expectations. conveniently located within sentosa, hotel michael is ideal for travelling families and couples looking to spend the weekend in that area. considering how getting into sentosa island alone costs money (if you're not staying in the sentosa resorts), hotel michael was definitely a great deal compared to the other hotels in the city. it is a great choice for travelling families and couples.
great super clean new hotel”
we spent our last few nights at the michael hotel sentosa which felt like being at the disneyland hotel back home in america. very very clean. everything is connected in sentosa. when you step out of the hotel you step onto the courtyards which are very wide and clean full of shops with overhead canopies about 40 feet high that block the sun. it's like being in an upper class outdoor mall. i got very sick & spent most of the time in the room & hospital, but my family had great fun at the michael hotel sentosa and the agoda price was less than half the asking price at the counter.
Amazing”
We booked 3 rooms for 6 adults and 2 childs but we were upgraded to a presidential suit. Although we need to add 2 extra beds, we all felt so amazing. The suit is big. The childs can run around and play hide and seek in the suit. Hotel is near to Sentosa's attractions. Our package also included tickets of USS, Aquarium and Waterpark. Staff is nice and helpful. Wonderful stay at Resorts World Sentosa - Hotel Michael!!
Awesome upgrade and room service”
Initially, it felt tiring to wait for an available room (past the check-in) time. However, service recovery was good as front office staff offered an upgrade to a suite (well worth the wait). Room had a good view of the resort at the balcony, especially in the evening. It felt quite special where we could see the fountains and people wandering around the resort. We walked over to Hard Rock hotel to visit the famous artificial beach pool. It was great fun but pretty far from Hotel Michael. Hotel Michael's pool is decent but small, good for a quick morning dip. Lovely bathroom with a TV. Ordered dinner and breakfast from room service - great quality at affordable prices, loved the pizza especially from Palio. However, quality of pizza was better from room service than when we ate at the restaurant - similar to pizza from Napoli. Housekeeping was great, bringing us coffee capsules in the morning due to faulty capsules at check-in. All in all, a great staycation-) Tips for travellers staying in Sentosa: take the monorail for free to Vivo city mall for a movie.
the customer service was so good ”
our stay at resort world sentosa - hotel michael was so good, the room was very clean and very big. the service was excellent. the lady who was behide the counter was so helpful and she gave us a late checkout so we could enjoy the room, her name was eve, and i would like to thank her for making our stay so good. thank you all from mark
best hotel for family with your children”
Everything was PERFECT. The staff like usual gave us an upgraded room from the booking room that i have. So unbelieveble the room was soo big, beautiful, very clean and big bed, so perfect. I was 4 people (2adults & 2children) and its fits on the bed. The staff soo friendly and smiley, make me feels like home. This hotel very close to universal studios as in the center of resort world area. Close to the mrt only 5minutes walk and we can go to vivo city by mrt. It was wonderful holiday that we had while in singapore, and of course we always back to this hotel again when we're at singapore. Thanks michael hotel.
Overlooking Universal Studios”
we really enjoyed our stay in hotel michael, given the limited time there are so many attractions you can choose within the sentosa island like crane dance, festive walk, lake of dreams, the maritime experiential museum and of course the universal studios. we were given a complimentary sentosa pass for hotel guests valid within our stay, so getting in and out of the island is very easy. there is a free shuttle service to foreign tourists but take note you have to present your passport and singapore embarkation card (“the white cut” as the driver said) to board the shuttle bus. currently, there are two routes: bencoolen/marina route for summer view, carlton, swissotel, marina mandarin and marina bay sands hotels; orchard route for concorde, mandarin orchard, grand hyatt, shangri-la and orchard hotels. if the bus stops in your hotel and there is no available seat, you have to wait for another 30 minutes because the driver will not allow you to stand even if you insist.
Wonderful stopover”
My husband and I booked the Hotel Michael as we had stayed at Resorts World Sentosa previously but had not had time to visit the attractions. Our package included breakfast and passes to the Aquarium, Universal Studios and the water park. The hotel was extremely comfortable with large roomy apartments. The reception, conciege and hotel cleaning staff were all very helpful and also spoke English which was an advantage for us. Although we enjoyed staying at the hotel very much, it would be well suited for families given the local attractions. We would not hesitate to recommend the Hotel.
Huge Room, Beautiful Wood”
Very large, comfy, relaxing room. This is a big room, loved it. Easy to get around the hotel and Sentosa. This hotel is chain connected to the Hard Rock, which means you can use your room key to access the Hard Rock pool and fitness center about a 5 min walk away. Food is everywhere, Starbucks, Mickey D's. All the attractions are close by with the access of a shuttle tram in the main parking lobby. The decor for the Michael is true Michael Graves. At hotel check-in they wanted $100 SGD for room deposit, we didn't have, and they said its ok. Its mainly if you are going to use whats in the room fridge, or room service, or phone, or whatever there policy is for the deposit, so be aware they will ask for deposit in sing dollars upon front desk check-in. Quick, very friendly front desk staff. They had a long term bag hold if you arrived to early to check-in time or were leaving and awaiting for an evening flight and didn't want to leave Sentosa right away. Great place. Go to the Hard Rock and take advantage of the pool! Was awesome!
Fun and convenient”
The hotel is one of the 6 hotels in Resort World Sentosa. Room is new and spacious, design was nice too. It is within walking distance to all surround attractions that RWS offers. Short walk to the tram station brings us to the other parts of Sentosa and also across the waterway to Vivocity shopping mall, largest in Singapore. The stay is fun and has the feel of going holiday abroad as a local.
Clean and Spacious”
We arrived at about 11pm the day of our booking, reception gave us a free upgrade to a suite which was fantastic. Suite was large, unfortunately too large for someone staying just one night (great if your staying multiple days) ordered room service (tira misu and satay and rice) obviously not up to standard of singapore hawker food but definitely tasty, tira misu was quite good. Bathroom in the suite was very large and well appointed. Two tv's means your never short on watching anything however the bedroom tv did not allow for external input. Suite room came with a nespresso coffee machine (complimentary) and some TWG tea's (also comlimentary). The room had a small balcony which overlooked resort world but since most of resort world is under canopy there isn't much of a view except to look at the other hotels. Now for the bad. There was a lamp in the living room which electrical socket was broken from the floor (electrical wires accessible). If i had a child with me i would be furious at the establishment for allowing such a thing to be broken. The clock in the room was dead (battery was flat or clock broken) and there was a cd player which required a adapter to be plugged in to work but someone must have stolen the adapter previously and it had not been replaced. I would recommend it if you wish to stay in resort world as the price was acceptable even without the room upgrade.
Nice Sentosa Hotel”
I've stayed at Hotel Michael a few times and find that its very good value for money considering that it is a 5 star hotel (with very nice new rooms and excellent staff) in a very good location. If you can get it at a good discount then it ends up being cheaper than some of the lower quality hotels that you find on the Singapore mainland. Sentosa also always feels more relaxed, spacious and pleasant to me than the busier areas of Singapore. Considering how small Singapore is it really isn't a hassle if you want to go to Orchard Road or elsewhere as taxis or the nearby train can take you there quickly enough.
