Comfortable and functional room, best breakfast - you do not need to have lunch after - pleasantly warm sea and cool umbrellas and sun beds. Staff efficient and friendly (with isolated exceptions). A functioning computer with printer, for its customers, would be very welcome.

An unforgettable holiday! The room (master suite) very cosy, super-comfortable and spacious and a large terrace with a fantastic view. Quality toiletries, fast wifi, a Hifi and a TV sets guarantee entertainment in the room and are especially important in winter, as the resort is open 12 months a year. Breakfast is entirely home-made and all the fruit, vegetables and eggs are their own produce. The Venetian lake is full of Koi fish and there are ducks and snow geese as well. Our children enjoyed watching and feeding them, as well as learning a range of herbs around the lake which the owners of the resort painstakingly labelled for visitors in Greek, English and Latin. One can go for walks and short trips in the area.. What makes the whole difference, however, is the unique hospitality of every single staff member who made us feel part of the community throughout our stay and spoilt us with their hospitality. Finally, the spa with its range of excellent treatments is a must.A big THANKS!

Balconies are large and spacious, allowing for a really good relaxing time. Interior of the hotel is beautiful, staff are extremely friendly and attentive. Breakfast food was superb. Could not fault a single thing!

I look forward to bringing my wife here next time I am in Crete. The massages and other spa amenities look wonderful.

A fabulous beach and stunning views. This hotel is good value and the food is very good too. It is all inclusive so the wine is not the best .. but it varies at different bars. All spirits are non branded and coffee is Nescafé but lovely grounds and rooms have balconies and all modern amenities

Both dinner and breakfast excellent with a massive choice of food and attentive staff. The only thing that lets hotel down is its access whilst close to main arterial road access is not simple and with no signposting took a little time to get to. "So near but yet so far" we could see hotel but could not get to it until our third attempt of driving back upon ourselves.

The resort is in a good location, pretty close to the airport. the beach is not very good for kids, but the hotel has many pools and different facilities such as play rooms and shows to entertain children of all ages. we traveled with a 11 month and almost 3 y/o and they were constantly having fun!

welcoming and comfortable establishment catering for many types of visitor equally. the location was ideal for both a quiet relaxing beach holiday and as a centre for access by train or hire car to many surrounding archaeological and other attractions, manageable as daily outings. a good choice to keep all ages happy.

We have a very nice time in Parga Beach Resort in sept. 2011. The locations is perfect, bungalows are practically in the gorgeous garden, rooms very nice and clean, stuff wonderful. Was the best location and condition ever. The beach is nice and water perfect. Thank you.

Our villa was lovely. Good amenities, spacious, comfortable and clean. Their breakfast is very good. We had lot's of room to spread out & were very comfortable here for 5 nights. Probably best to hire a car if you are staying here, as it is about 40 minutes from Corfu Town. We were more than happy with our stay. Thank you

The hotel is isolated and have the best facilities with the best view! a private beach, multiple swimming pools, some are for adults only so no chance of any interruption while you are napping or reading your book. In general there are no families with lots of kids in the hotel, so it always quit and relaxing. The spa treatments were amazing to, the stuff really know their work, highly professional and very kind. Food, you cannot go wrong no matter what restaurant in the resort you choose to eat in, also the room service food is high quality and come fast! overall this is one of the best places i ever being to, also my partner think so, the service the facilities the food are amazing, there is no reason to get out of the resort, just bring a good book :)

The hotel is very nice and beautiful, like a resort type. The room is very specious with kitchen facilities. The room is clean and comfortable. Bus stop is in front of the hotel so it's convenient to take a bus to main station, but it took about 15minutes so it will be quite expensive to take a taxi. The best we like for this hotel is breakfast selections.

Positives - the team in the kitchen and the lovely driver Negatives- if you’re looking for an all inclusive place to share with over 800 people, where you can forget you’ve even travelled to a Greek island this might be the place for you. On arrival we were ‘upgraded’ from what looked online to be a bungalow with a large terrace and a direct sea view to a room in the main building on the first floor over the car park and the staff smoking area. The rooms and hall were painted a prison grey and had obvious damage such as patch painted walls and treading carpet. We were given two other options for rooms, they were dingy, a far walk from the overcrowded pools and you could smell smoke from the other rooms. This is a 3 star hotel at best that is worth no more than €100 for bed and breakfast. We ended up speaking to the Manager he was unconcerned by our feedback and indicated the owner would be the same as he has ‘three other hotels’.

We also opted for the half board option so breakfast and dinner was included. I am not keen on buffet food but it was excellent! The choices and freshness of food was amazing. Every day were different options and the only problem was what to choose! The house wine is bad and we noticed a lot of people would leave it on the table when they left. The bottled wine was very good but a bit more expensive and not always available although it was on wine list. The beach has lots of rocks so you need the special shoes otherwise it is quite difficult to get in and out of ocean. There are plenty of day beds on the beach and around the pools. There is a bus stop outside the hotel and a 10-15 minute ride into town. Loved the hotel and hope to be back one day!

Very relaxing stay especially after we obtained the mattress toppers from reception which made the very hard brds much more comfortable! There is not a lot to do in the area but a bus right outside the hotel takes you into Chania which is worth a visit. The food in the hotel was really good .

Would definitely stay there again!

Avra is a great resort with great service but I would recommend it more for family trips. We went during the peak season in summer and the resort was filled with families and children. We were 2 couples and we did not really need the private pools in our bedrooms as we were out and about most of the time. The beach that Avra is on is wide, big and clean but not the white sandy kind of beach that you have seen about Cretan beaches. Location of the hotel is great, there are restaurants and cafes down the street with a few shops to buy your souvenirs. A local supermarket is also reachable around the corner. We tried a few of the restaurants in the town facing the beach and they were all quite good. Hotel has 2 different areas serving Greek breakfast or Intercontinental breakfast, both with big selections. The hotel comes with a big spa by Apivita with many type of body treatments, as pampering as they were, we did not really enjoy the massages. One exceptional thing though was their hospitality and their warmth. We remember a lady, Iro, who was managing the bar at the pool across from the main building. She had the greatest smiles and passion towards her work and engaging with all the guests, it was just a great experience!

Great location, good facilities overall, however... there's need to upgrade the room furniture - including the beds - as mine was extremely hard, in fact the hardest bed I have slept for a long time. Bathrooms need better plumbing as the toilet in my room was blocked in the second night of my stay, not a good look for a five star hotel. Other than that, the hotel and...

Bathrooms need better plumbing as the toilet in my room was blocked in the second night of my stay, not a good look for a five star hotel. Other than that, the hotel and surrounding area offer a lot of activities for everyone, including wonderful scenic paths for anyone who likes jogging or just a good long walk with small hills along the coastline.

The views from the hotel are truly breathtaking. We were on the lower level (room 31) which over looked the restaurants and sea. Our room was spacious enough but the bathroom was on the small side and the shower not the best due to the size and lack of water pressure! The complimentary amenities were disappointing no separate shampoo or shower gel but a pump you would find in a public washroom which after contacting reception I was informed was in fact shampoo and shower gel in one. Not what I would expect from a 5 star hotel. We did unfortunately hear the exhaust fan coming from the restaurant below, but overall it didn’t bother us to much. My only other negative was that the gym doesn’t open until 10am. Being keen to use the facilities as early risers this was also disappointing. We opted to run into town most mornings which in all honestly was lovely. Breakfast buffet offered a good selection and the waitstaff remembered your names and drink preferences. Excellent breakfast service. The private beach and hotel pool are wonderful, friendly staff and good service. Welcomed each morning by the team with big smiles and towels. We hired a Boat for a few hours (from the beach) and made our way around the island. Reasonable prices and again good service. A number of water sports and boat trips are on offer. The spa treatments were lush. I opted for a body scrub, wrap and massage which was amazing. We dined two nights at the hotels Samurai restaurant, Master Dannie’s dishes were divine hence the return visit. The teriyaki steak mouth watering. Sam our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable and made the dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall this is an amazing hotel. Perfect for couples looking for pure relaxation and views to die for. I would recommend this hotel and would like to visit again in the near future.

The pool is fabulous and we enjoyed a couple of swims and lounging around. The hotel is out of town and not well located to transport, although they do provide transfers to Parikia 3 times a day. Otherwise you neee transport - we hired a quad bike which was a heap of fun and enabled us to visit all parts of the island. .

The location was great, it was on Ornos beach, which is the closest main beach to town. We had the option of the private or public beach area and an amazing pool. Breakfast was included and was wonderful. We had a very large room, and a balcony with a beautiful view.

priceless anniversary vacation & worth every penny. my husband & i stayed in avaton resort & spa santorini during our 9th anniversary last year. throughout our 3 nights stay (28th april - 1st may), it has been excellent all the way. in summary.... - warmly welcomed by super friendly hotel staff (kostas) from the moment we step our feet from the pre arranged car (20euro per way) - we booked for honeymoon suite and all our request in booking was taken seriously and perfectly. - amazing friendly staff. the manager has been such lovely, kind hearted, and helpful from earlier enquiring stage till our departure. she even helped my husband sourcing a fresh flowers & card for me. haha. and kostas had been an excellent staff who entertained us through out our stay in avaton, like allllll through out for real! - staff very attentive to our needs. there this one night where we were dining outside and its quite chill, kostas was so concerned and got me a blanket that kept me warm. simple gesture that what makes it special & memorable. - check-in smoothly & very fast - spotless clean - turndown twice a day - high end toilettries (chrome by azzaro) - free bouquet of fresh flowers & a basket of fresh fruits as welcomed gift besides refreshing mocktail (as requested) - breathtakingly beautiful view! especially sunset - spacious & luxurious room with jacuzzi - personalized breakfast with such a wide selection of it (unlimited!). served at the comfort of your own suite overlooking the stunning scenery of the caldera. priceless! - had our anniversary candle lite dinner which was perfectly planned at their cave restaurant. so romantic! also managed to dine at their restaurant for one of the night. food was fantastic & delicious 5 star gourmet style. ....from the above, obviously we are truly in love with avaton resot & spa santorini. we hardly cant think of any negative comment! highly recommended for a perfect relaxing, private, luxurious stay!

Pros: 1. The hotel is very clean, and he is definitely one of the most well kept hotels I've seen. 2. The service team was always kind and did everything with smile. 3. The food is awesome. 4. Easy transfers to the center. Cons: 1. The gym is too small and has old machines. 2. No iron in the rooms, you must use the hotels iron services.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by this well-managed property! As I didn't know the brand, I was a little suspicious...but I was wrong! The staff are expertly trained at the front desk and hyper-efficient and professional to quickly get you into your room or get you checked out. The room had a side view of the ocean, but actually it was enough and there was full sun all day. Each room appeared to have a balcony as well. WHile I first thought the hotel was a little dated (that 1980-90's chandeliers), it is kept impeccably clean and that things are being renovated quite reguarly. The spa (apparently the largest spa in the balkans) was one of the largest I have ever seen anywhere and brand-spanking new. We didn't get a chance to use it very unfortunately, nor very large gym and another indoor pool in addition to two outdoor pools and pool bar. The breakfast was very good (although more fruit would be nice - but they had virtually everything else and of course, TONS of excellent Greek yoghurt). The breakfast buffet and this is where I felt the "service"...the ladies who worked there were very friendly, spoke perfect english and were really enjoying what they were doing! Very refreshing!! I also note that the service at the beach was also very good and efficient. The beach is located across a small street in front of the hotel, which you go through a well maintained underpass that looks recently constructed so that only hotel guests can access. The beach area is pretty small however. The rooms are fairly standard, but decently appointed, although the decor is not my style (the small couch in the corner; tacky and probably unncessary...getting rid of them would make the room feel more spacious. I thought the balconies were nice and the view - even though it was partial - surpassed my expectations as I expected less. All in all, it was a short and a nice stay and I was surprised by the ammenities of the hotel.

We've been staying for 2 weeks in this hotel. We liked it overall but in the end we used it as a place to overnight and continue on island adventures. Hotel area is great, it's green and covered in flowers. Nice place to walk around, you get a glance on local tradition seeing some agricultural machines and tools and nice small church. Local shop is amazingly useful, it has almost everything you might need. We had waterfront suite, balcony opens on a nice lawn with soft grass and only 50 meters from the sea, which is amazing to swim, lie around and play with kid. For some reason the room was incredibly dusty. Whatever you leave in the room is covered in thick layer of dust. In 2 weeks my laptop had aged couple of years and needs cleaning now. It's probably because of sheets or blankets they use. Internet didn't work in the room, we had to go outside on the balcony. And even there it was slow. More to that, they had it broken and could not fix it for 3 days. Kid's club is amazing, it's best I have seen so far. Staff is numerous, experienced and passionate about children. They spoke english, russian, french and german quite well. Day schedule is filled with all kind of social and developing activities, they sing, exercise and craft all kind of things. We didn't like breakfasts very much. Too many people, at times they even close the entrance and you have to wait in queue. Empty tables are hard to find. Dinner was awesome at the restaurant near the fountain, but we soon found some nice taverns outside of the hotel with awesome food quality and 3-4 times less expensive (we had to rent a car to get there though, but it was absolutely worth it, we had unforgetable experience driving around this beautiful island). Impression is the hotel is too crowded. We had some not really pleasant experience with drunken Russians throwing huge petards into the sea, deafening everyone around and singing (badly! :) at night. Overall not bad hotel if you want to stay in one place

There’s not much to say the property is beautiful. There’s a back entrance from the pool (one of three pools) that leads to a three minute walk from the beach. The view is fantastic, the breakfast buffet is extensive and food quality overall is excellent. To mix it up, we took taxis into town in the evening for a stroll, shopping, dinner (Piato has the best food) and ice cream, had spa treatments, rented a car and explored the island and swam, snorkelled, rented the pedal boat and a speed boat and picked a remote snorkelling spot 1.5 hr away. We love it there and it's always hard to leave not lest because Nikos the manager wants to make sure you are having a good stay.

Hotel is very efficiently run. The staff are outstandingly good throughout the various areas of the hotel. The variety of food in the Buffet breakfast etc is super. I would only have one recommendation I.e. have a hot water facility separate from the coffee dispenser. This would seriously reduce the long cues at the one machine. I would have no problem recommendi...

Hotel's lovely and comfortable. 5 minute walk from beach and street full of restaurants and bars. Very happy with breakfast selection. Staff are very accommodating, helpful and smiley. Supermarkets are everywhere near the hotel, super convenient. I'd suggest not to go to the hotel shops cos they're most expensive. Amenities in room aren't very sufficient, hope they...

This is a perfect place for those who are looking for a quiet resort to relax in and enjoy pastoral atmosphere. Here you won’t find music in the pool or the beach, no evening shows in the lobby and no noisy background music in the dining room. You will however enjoy tranquility, strolling through the hotel’s amazing gardens, listening to the sea which is a minute walk from the room, reading a book near one of the pools, relax in the hotel’s spa and have a good meal at the dining room. The room and the hotel are extremely clean, everything is well maintained and the staff is very friendly. The hotel area doesn’t offer much attractions. You will find few bars, tavernas and organized sails. You can rent a car and drive about 30 min to Rhodes city or Lindos, but I’d recommend to get in the hotel’s relaxing mood and enjoy the resort facilities.

if you are not on a budget holiday, this is the place you should stay. from room stay, activities, especially the food. awesome!!! but breakfast everyday for 7 days is tiring. always the same kind but fortunately, dinner buffet is changing every night. Hope i have the chance to booked this place again and bring my mom and sisters here.
