    “Stylish stay”

We booked the Jacuzzi Suite, staying in May 2025. The room was gorgeous, the decor and furniture was on point. There was a mini refrigerator where we were able to keep cold beverages. The AC worked great- we had to turn it off some nights, it was so cold. The jacuzzi tub functioned perfectly and had plenty of hot water. The hotel put a nice teak wood tray over the tub, which would hold your tablet/book while you soak. The entire bathroom had beautiful chino-portuguese tile. There was a Japanese style electric bidet in the toilet. If you have multiple large checked-bag suitcases, this room may be too small for you. We just had two carry-on sized bags, which fit just fine. With our small amount of luggage, we felt the room was spacious. The room has a good selection of dim and bright lighting to choose from. We were on the second floor toward the rear or middle of the building, and we did not have any complaints about noise, but we are also not light sleepers anyway. The hotel was gracious to hold our luggage, as we arrived far before check-in time. There is a superb japanese spa near the hotel, called "Yu Zen". We took a grab there, but pretty much everything else we walked to, because the hotel is like 5 minutes from dozens of good restaurants, the clan jetties, the street art, and Armenian street. There is a cute cat cafe "catopia" next door, by the temple. Lastly, there were water filter machines in the corridors, so you could fill your bottle with hot or cold drinking water. Great little hotel, I would absolutely stay there again. The pricing was very fair, too.

    “Beautiful Rooms Closed to Everything”

We love staying here everything is great. Here's the point that we like + décoration + ironing board, hair dryer, infinite water fountain, soap, toothbrush toothpaste + the water pressure in the shower is amazing + comfortable pillow and bed Here's what we are not really a fan of: - the wall is paper thin we can hear every conversation from the hallway - the bathroom can be smelly if the exhaust fan is off Overall it was still an amazing stay

    “Excellent Boutique Hotel”

This hotel really went above and beyond my expectations. I ended up getting a duplex room, which, although not having a window, was likely the most spacious hotel room I have slept in. The staff is very kind and understanding and the position is great to go around town and do some sightseeing. On the negative side, sound insulation is lacking and you can basically hear whatever your neighbors are doing. As a heritage house though, I think it is acceptable to keep the historical vibe. The room was clean but corners could use some more cleaning. Amenity selection was alright, but would be even better with a dedicated shampoo bottle. Overall very lovely stay besides for these minor details!

    “Perfect location, ambience, quiet BUT...”

It was a lovely boutique hotel, nicely decorated with a nice jacuzzi, good water pressure. Large room and everything looks clean. There's also front and back door. The staffs were also friendly. There's Cuckoo water filter provided at the corridors which was superb. Everything was perfect.. until I woke up on my 2nd morning in the hotel with bed bug bites! There were about 8 bites. I informed the staff and they promised to deep clean when I was away on the daytime. They promised to send pics but didnt; when inquired later, they told me that they changed the duvet color, pillow case and bed sheet. However, the next morning, I was again awake with another 2 clusters of bed bug bites on my legs and body. This was really bad as I trusted their service. It was a good value for stay hotel if not due to this bed bug incident. I hope the management of the hotel take this matter seriously as to really deep clean by vacuuming the beds; changing the sheets are not sufficient.

“Hidden Gem - Rare Heritage House ”

Great place. What a hidden gem! Wonderful hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean rooms. Good security. Location is within walking distance to historic attractions in Georgetown. Exterior of hotel is very non-descript, leaving you to discover the hidden gem within. This 19th Century designed building is like 'Doctor Who's Tardis '- '"it's bigger on the inside.." With beautiful wooden floor and walls accented with brass fixtures. Each uniquely designed room has its ' own character and ambiance. My favorite features are: the tiled bathroom with a ceramic raise bowl sink decorated in the dustinct local art. You can see the careful design decisions that were made to adhere to the cultural influences of China, India, Europe and the Malay archipelago that are Georgetown's heritage as a trade port.
