Comfortable stay with atmosphere”
The Riad Lila is comfortable and in an excellent location in the heart of Marrakech's medina. It evokes a lost era of ancient Arabian guest houses, yet has modern amenities like wifi, spacious bathrooms, and bathrobes. The staff is exceptionally friendly and welcoming as well. They were accommodating in providing a late breakfast and were thorough in cleaning my room. The only drawback for me was the tightness of the main room--the queen-size bed left little room to move around. Regardless, I would highly recommend the Riad Lila.

Peaceful Riad; Friendly and Helpful staff”
We arrived in Marrakesh at about 9pm - not recommended, as trying to get luggage to a riad (most are not accesible by taxi) at peak time is not fun. When we arrived we had great difficulty trying to work out where our riad was. This is not necessarily a problem limited to Riad Lila as Marrakesh in general is very busy and most market areas do not cater for taxis. However, our pre-booked airport transfer did not arrive and as such we had to make our own way. Do not try and do this, book the transfer (and hope it turns up! - we later found out that a traffic accident had meant that ours never arrived). When we finally arrived we were welcomed with mint tea and smiles and asked when we would like to have breakfast the next morning etc. The breakfast was free, and the staff were very friendly and ensured that our stay was comfortable. It was a very quiet and peaceful place which was decorated very well - tastefully so. The room was small but had all the required necessities (albeit, no soap!). However, most riads operate like a family home and I was under the impression that anything we wanted we could have asked for (we were too polite!). The air con was not great, but we were dealing with 45 degree heat so it may not have been a fair test... all in all a very pleasing and good value stay.

Beautiful Riad with amazing staff! ”
This Riad is really beautiful, the rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. the Riad is a bit difficult to find in back alleys but very near Cafe de France on the main square jemaa el fna. You might need to ask people to guide you there- they might ask you for money though. The staff was amazing, very helpful and friendly. We had dinner there one night and it was delicious! The breakfast is fresh orange juice and bread, butter, honey and jam with something different every morning such as local pancakes or cronuts. We had it served on the terrasse which was great. The staff also recommended a good local spa. Would certainly recommend Riad Lila!

The staff and the hotel was very friendly”
We really liked the Riad Lila. Beautiful fiew from the Roof top. It was very Close to the souks of Marrakech. if you want to travel by yourself from the Airport, take the bus. the taxi stops at the same place like the bus, at the Place Jemaa El Fna. you can only reach the Hotel by Walking. we had a great time.

Beautiful peaceful but central Riad”
Beautiful Riad in a slightly hidden but fantastically central location. Very peaceful. Bedrooms are a great size compared to a lot of the other Riads we’ve looked at. Staff very pleasant and helpful although spoke very little english so a bit of a language barrier. We had to stay our first night in a different Riad as there was a double booking issue, which was a shame as when we arrived at Riad Lila we were sad we missed that extra night we’d paid for there! But overall a great stay and we highly recommend it as a location.

Australian Traveller”
Our stay at the Riad was excellent. We arrived extremely late (3am) and the staff were very nice and welcoming. Breakfast was served as soon as we were up in the morning. The room had a king sized bed and enough space to move around. I'd definitely recommend this Riad. I would also recommend booking the airport transfer with them as the Riad is difficult to locate the first time, if you are unfamiliar with the area (as with all of the Riads in the Medina area). Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and there was an amazing view of the sunset from the rooftop.

Cute, Authentic, Central Riad”
We really enjoyed our stay here. As seasoned travelers, we thought it was a perfect stay for us. They renewed our towels daily and cleaned our room daily. The breakfast was pretty basic but the staff was very helpful and kind. Though the location is ideal (and it's on a quiet street within the Medina) it was incredibly hard to find. Locals were willing to help us but they were also wanting a tip for their help. This is one of two Riads with almost the same exact name so we found the other one first. One staff member spoke enough English to help us but the other staff members spoke French and Arabic. The Riad suggested a fabulous place to get a Moroccan bath (which I highly recommend)! We really enjoyed our stay here!

Cute place, unhelpful staff”
My friend and I stayed at Riad Lila for one night. We arrived in Marrakech in the early evening time. Our driver tried calling the hotel numerous times so that we could be met, but no one answered the phone. We got lost trying to find the hotel because it is down a very small windy street that only a local would have known to go down as there are no signs anywhere indicating where we needed to go. When we tried calling to get help finding the place, there was no response. When we finally did find the hotel, the staff gave us a very cold greeting as if we were unexpected and unwelcome. When we explained that we tried calling, the response was simply that the phones must not be working, with a shrug of the shoulders. (This was not a good way to start the stay.) I will say that the hotel itself is beautiful and, once you know where it is, the general location in the city is great because it is in a very busy place with many attractions around it.

Lovely place”
Me and my friend had a lovely time at Riad Lila. It's a small family run riad and they really helped us out during our stay. Loved the breakfast on the terrace in the morning! The place is impossible to find on your own, so make sure you organize pick up from the airport. Some dodgy guys harassing us in the small alleys around the riad, but it's Marrakech, there's nothing you can do about it.

Very Lovely Riad”
i highly recommend this Riad. It is perfectly located near the square but down enough alley to get the medina experience. The room was perfect size, clean and had a large bathroom. Breakfast was individually served by the friendly staff.

Very pleasant riad well placed for medina”
Beautiful riad, friendly helpful staff, good location. Like most riads, tricky to find at first (near soul semmarine) but no trouble once you've got your bearings. Breakfast fairly basic but sufficient, served on roof terrace or inside. Room was comfortable and clean, and also has use of the outside terrace. There is a very small pool but not heated or jacuzzi and has no seats so not too sure of its purpose. Overall, ideal road that ticked all boxes.

Bad start but made up for it”
It didn't start well with some confusion and me having to stay at a nearby riad which had much more inferior rooms but better breakfast for some reason for the first night. The staff made up for it though by taking me to the airport when I left. They also looked after me well when I had food poisoning on the last day and basically curled up on their sofa for the whole day until it was time to go to the airport. Will stay there again definitely.

Great little Riad if you're not travelling alone”
Overall a good stay. Staff is super friendly but you will find some language barriers withoit some knowledge of French but you'll work through it. Really good service! My only complaint is the location. While it is very central, you have to go down a pretty long and deserted alleyway. While I'm sure it's fine, as two women we were a little bit intimidated, especially at night. I recommend having the hotel book your taxi to the airport for 150 dirhams. They driver will come pick you up at the door and take you to the taxi.

Great value for price!”
I really liked the place. The room was good size with the biggest double bed I have ever seen. The lady that runs the place was really friendly and willing to help us with everything. Totally recommend it!

Comfy”
First, the host picks up customers at railway station and returns them on the final day, which is a huge bonus. Truly felt like home. Breakfasts are tremendous and included with the reservation. Beautiful home for photo geeks. Love it.
