Not worth the cost”
The rating led us to believe it would be better than it turned out to be. Very basic breakfast, staff were okay, but not impressive. Paid over twice what we paid in Fez, but the Riad did not measure up to the cost. I would not recommend this for the money we spent. Would definitely look for someplace else next time.

Kindness kindness ”
What makes this Riad awesome is the great human quality the staff brings to the customer. The compssion concern and you well being is the greatest concern. TAZIN a host guide is awesome Karina resident cook chef will blow your mind with her Royal beef Tangine ( ask her for the french omelet for breakfast) and finally the other young lady I cant remember her name but she is there also all day with Karina and Tazin and she is awesome.A great place to relax feel at home and enjoy the tremendous hospitality of the Marrekech people

Very comfortable stay with friendly staff.”
Comfort, Location and Staff.
It was a very comfortable and extravagant stay, and the Riad staff was very friendly and treated us like a friend visiting his home. The Riad is a bit difficult to find at first, but once you are able to find it, there is no problem finding it again. It's location is good and is within 10 minutes walking distance from Djemaa al Fana. The riad brings in local drummers to perform at night, and it was slightly noisy at night but bearable. All in all a very comfortable stay especially after me and my wife had just arrived from the 10-hour overnight train from Tangiers, and they not only received us warmly with tea and cookies, despite our early arrival at about 9am plus, they had even prepared breakfast when they had found out that we did not have any. Would definitely go back if I ever visit Marrakech again.

Wonderful traditional vacation experience”
Cleanliness, very friendly & helpful staff, Location.
We’ve stayed in many countries and hotels around the world but this was by far the best and different experience. The hotel is just 10 min walk from Main Square in old Medina, yet it’s very quiet and peaceful at the end of an alleyway. After walking through ancient tiny alley with mud and brick pathway, you enter this fabulous house with beautiful décor and very friendly staff welcoming you with a traditional mint tea (the best). The entrance is very nice with lots of natural sun light and dining space. Each room has its own unique decoration. We stayed at the smallest room but we loved it as it was the corner room upstairs, very cozy with rustic furniture and beautiful wall carving. There is veranda all around the first floor where you can just lounge with sunlight coming from the roof. The terrace is really nice, with eating arrangement as well as a covered shaded seating area for the afternoon time when sun is too hot and you want to enjoy the sun but sitting in shade. There is also living room on the main floor with fire place for a cozy cold night. We stayed here 5 nights, and had breakfast in the terrace every day, which was just wonderful. They gave us mint tea and coffee along with an assorted crepes and delicious jam, honey, butter, cheese and egg. Aissa and Mohammad were very nice and hospitable and they made our stay especially comfortable. We didn’t have time to taste their lunch or dinner, however, their dining area is so nice, I’m sure it’ll be very enjoyable to have a meal there. Overall, it was fantastic and I would highly recommend this Riyad in terms of location, interior and wonderful hospitable staff. You won't regret choosing this Riyad, by far the best.

Wonderful Riad”
Wonderful hosts. Beautiful rooms. Superb food
The riad is a peaceful haven only 10 minutes from the main square. The hosts Abdel & Mohammed attend to your every need organising trips, recommending places to eat and dispensing sage advice. You really do feel like one of the family. We ate at the riad twice and the food was excellent. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The airport transfer arranged by the riad is recommended unless you are familiar with the intricacies of the Medina. We had a massage at the Hamman which is part of Samira Riads which was wonderful. Would definitely stay here again.

A beautiful and friendly Riad”
Friendly staff, nice decor and central location
The Riad is located in a quiet back alley just a few minutes walk from Jemaa el-Fna square. We had arranged for a pick-up from the airport and a driver was waiting for us in the arrivals hall. This is money well spent in my opinion, as the Medina of Marrakech can be a difficult place to find your way. On arrival at the Riad we were greeted by one of the managers, Mostapha and served a nice glass of mint tea. The Riad is built around an open courtyard and the style of the interior is kept in tradition with Moroccan design. The building is old, but was converted into a hotel about three years ago. The rooms are of decent size and with a shower and wc. The furniture is traditional, and the beds were comfortable. At night the building is lit up by traditional lamps and lanterns, giving it a different look from daytime. There is a roof terrace with sitting arrangements and sunbeds. We had our breakfast up there, and it is also a great place for lounging throughout the day. Wi-Fi is available free of charge, but signal is best at ground floor and second floor. Apart from the breakfast, which was nice, we did not try the food at the Riad. They serve a range of traditional food, and I wish I had had the chance to try it out but we decided to eat out instead. If their food is anywhere near as good as their mint tea, which is the best I tasted in all of Morocco, then please give their kitchen a try! Mostapha and his team made us feel very welcome, and the Riad became a nice retreat from the hustle and bustle of the Medina. On our first night there, Mostapha offered to walk with us to Jemaa el-Fna to show us the way. He explained about the Medina and pointed out waypoints to look for, in order to find our way back. With his explanation, we found the way back to the Riad without any problems. We are very happy with our stay at the Riad Princesse du Desert, and we hope to stay there again on our next visit to exciting Marrakech!

Great Stay! Extremely attentive and friendly Staff”
Customer Service, Location, Design
Just simply Great! Book this hotel. You won't regret it. Absolutely worth every penny! Pros: (1) Friendly Staff and Superb Customer Service - Everyone was so friendly - at least bilingual (knows french and arabic) and Managers know English - When we had some trouble, they really gave us care and attention. You would really feel like a princess when you stay at Princesse du Desert. I think this is the hotel with the best customer service that I have ever stayed at. The level of customer service we have received is probably an 11 out of 10, and that's not an overstatement. - We also had a great chat with the owner Samira and the managers such as Yosef (I think I spelled it wrong). It was great way to learn more about moroccan people and culture. (2) Great Location - at first it might be hard to find but it's actually pretty easy to get to when the people there explain how to get to and from the square - just around a 5 minute walk to the square - souks nearby for shopping - peaceful neighborhood (close enough to the square but far enough for some peace and quiet) (3) GREAT food - the food is awesome! - Best moroccan food we had in our whole stay there (had some tangine and couscous) - They gave a lot of food (appetizer-main meal-dessert) (4) Great atmosphere - has a romantic feel to it (candles at night, there's a terrace) - really nice moroccan design Cons: NONE
