Feel at home quickly”
Very clean, minimal rooms with basic but clean bathrooms. Pleasant, public outside area with friendly local cats and nice lighting. I used this to do work on my laptop in the evenings. Bedroom air-con is good. Breakfast and coffee was good (homemade banana pancakes and Lombok coffee). Highlight of the stay was Hadi (the owner) and his family. Very friendly and personable, and genuinely keen to recommend places on the island without being pushy. He helped with out transfer leaving Gili T. This place has the basics covered to a good standard. The island has everything above the basics covered within a short walking distance. Very much recommend!

Simple, nice & decent homestay with friendly staff”
I stayed at Ricel Homestay with a girl friend of mine on 23-26 September 2015. Staffs: Super friendly. Kim and Olick attended to all our queries throughout our stay. Environment: Clean and tidy. Room: Spacious enough, even the bathroom - sink, shower, western toilet. Air-cond: Cold enough. Breakfast: Simple but tasted good! Few choices to choose from. Location: A bit far out from Gili Trawangan Sentral, about 10-15 mins walk. But it is good if you want to have a good rest, away from the noisy main street/party area. Suggestion to Ricel: maybe could provide shower gel & shampoo. You pay for a decent homestay but with great hospitality by the staffs. Would recommend to others.

We are a family of grandma, grandpa, parents, and grandchildren. We felt so happy and satisfied with our stay at Ricel Homestay. We definitely want to return to stay at Ricel Homestay in our next vacation to Gili Trawangan.

Highly recommend”
Though very simple, this was my favorite hotel during the Bali visit. Not only was Ricel a great value for the money, but also the staff was amazingly caring. I really felt like they went out of the way to help me fix a problem with ferry tickets as others were eager to scam. There are about eight rooms of decent size (with AC and fast internet, no TV). Each has a little neat patio where staff offers you breakfast or coffee/ tea anytime. The little garden in between the rooms is very cute. They offer bikes to tour the island and help choosing adventures for your stay. Beautiful Gili beach and the main street are about 3 min away walking. Most of the staff speaks good English. Unless you're looking for a fancy resort with a pool - I definitely recommend staying at Ricel.

Quaint Little Homestay”
Beautiful little homestay located 15 minutes away from the harbor on foot. Bed, room, and bathroom were all very clean and looked well-maintained. Be aware that most places on Gili T. don't have warm water, including this place. Breakfast was amazing and you have a list of dishes to choose from. Location-wise, the homestay is located well away from the noise coming from the main-strip and far enough from the mosque that there's little chance of you waking up to the morning calls of prayer. The owners and staff were so sweet and friendly and even helped me book a snorkeling trip. If you have any questions about the public ferries or the fast boats to and from the Gilis, don't hesitate to ask them. They also have bicycle rentals for 40k a day. The bikes have seen better days but they get the job done. Honestly, I'm surprised this place hasn't gotten higher ratings. It's a clean, well-maintained place (something that's hard to find on the Gili Islands). I an most definitely staying here again if I decide to come back to Gili T.

Good choice for good price”
The staff was very kind and helpful. They were always at our command. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was fine and enough. There are often problems with the electricity supply on Gili Trawangan, but the Ricel hadn't generator when we were there, so one of the four nights was really hot. Taken into a count everything I can recommend this homestay.

Friendly Staff and Peaceful Place to Rest”
My diving friend and I had a five days trip in Gili Trawagan and spent our stay at Ricel Homestay. The environment is quiet and good for relax, but it is also not too far away from the main street. I got sick on the third day and the homestay owner was very kind to take me to a clinic nearby and check my conditions. We are grateful to their assistance and would definitely choose to stay at Ricel Homestay if we come back to Gili T.

Great budget homestay”
We had a great stay at Ricel. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Their are some breakfast options, we stuck with the banana pancakes (crepes, actually) as they were quite tasty. It's in a great location, only a few minutes to the main road with lots of nearby restaurants. It's also close to the best snorkeling spot on the island and heaps of dive shops. The first night, we stayed in a fan room, but switched to an aircon room for the rest of our stay. I'd definitely recommend paying the extra little bit for aircon as the fan rooms get very little outside airflow and stay hot throughout the night. Overall, it was a great place. I'd definitely stay at Ricel again!

11 night stay made our Gili T time memorable!”
I LOVE RICEL! We ended up staying for 11 nights and I wish it was more! All of the staff is so sweet, so nice, so cool and the owner is extremely helpful & knowledgable. We stayed in an A/C room and it was perfectly nice; shower was good, bed was comfortable, the whole room was clean. Breakfast was always tasty and quick (really great scrambled egg sandwich!) and the owner even loaned me a dive mask! They have one mama cat and her kitten that hang around that ABSOLUTELY made my stay! The kitten (we named him Maximilian) is one of the cutest around--consider them a bonus! I can't recommend Ricel enough and look forward to our next stay with them. Thanks!!

a great place to stay at Gili T”
Very pleasant stay. The place is a 3-minute walk from the beach, which gives you the possibility to be able to sleep on the party island. The guys running the homestay are young and enthusiastic, breakfast is good and the room is very clean, shower has hot water, which is not always the case in homestays in Asia. Overall, this is not a backpacker place, one level above with backpacker prices. I would defo stay here again. Oh, and the net is fast. And stay more than 2 nights in Gili T, worth it!:)

Best accomodation for less money”
everything is just nice, they have a clean room and when we arrive they prepare it nicely. Friendly staff gives information and when he give a cheap price to rent a bike for 24 hrs. I do recommend Ricel Homestay for everyone, including for family, couple, individual and in group.

Good price for backpackers / couples ... Beds frame and matresse are brand new (23-03-16), we enjoyed our stay at the ricel, its clean, quiet, big rooms, cozy, but it is so hot outside that we needed a pool. Next time we will pay a little more to enjoy a pool. Nothing bad to say... Basic breakfast, 1 coffee or tea in morning!

It was perfect! Gili we absolutely loved and ricel as well. Great location and friendly staff. Clean and fresh rooms. It was very very warm I'm the room though, and the internet wasn't the best. But except from that, it was great.

Amazing staff, back to basics but better than the 5* restorts”
We did 3.5 weeks in Indonesia travelling from Island to Island for my Kid sisters 21st Birthday, we stayed at loads of 3-5* resorts where the towels are fluffy and room service is extensive however this was the last stop and we could not believe how even though we went back to basics, it was where we were the most happiest. The room has a large double bed, a safe, AC, and two small side drawers and that's it, so we did live out of our suitcases but it didn't bother us. The breakfast menu is basic of scrambled egg or fried egg on toast or pancakes, but after eating so much variety actually it was nice to have food that was not over powered with spices and a lovely glass of fresh orange juice made me smile or tea and coffee. The room and the bathroom is spacious, they provide towels and clean the room whenever you ask. We stayed at the homestay for 6 days and it was the best 6 days because the staff were so humble, not sleezy, and attentive and as its small (only have 10 rooms) they know your name and attend to your every need. The patio space was lovely overseen by a beautiful tropical garden, we had a pea tree outside our room and in the morning you end up speaking to the neighbors but if you want to be left alone the garden does provide cover, the room was clean, shower a little cold at times but if you wait for a few moments it gets warmer. I asked all the hotels that we stayed in when booking the room that it was my sisters 21st and could they do something special. during the trip we had decided to do a trek on Mount Rininjin, so when we arrived earlier than when i can called them so they were not expecting us as as i wasn't sure when we would fiinish the trek, and arrived at 9pm at night, muddy, hot and sweaty, they knew my name as soon as i arrived and asked us to wait for a bit, and in this time they had quickly called their friend the gardener and made a beautiful arrangement of flowers all over our bed (looked like something for a honeymoon couple but

location wise, the place is just a few minutes from the beach. quiet and peaceful. if you want the room made and all; you'd have to ask. that's pretty much the only down side. aircond fully functional. no pool but who needs a pool when the sea is as spectecular as gili trawangan?
