Good value, nice apartments, but seriously dirty”
The apartment building is in a great location and the apartments are nice, however Rich and Young in this case rented us an apartment that had been a long-term rental, and then managed by them, but had not had any kind of deep-clean. Dust everywhere, bits of food, hairs, broken glass, even some blood stain in the bedside draw. Basically, they don’t seem to pay any attention to the cleanliness of the apartments they manage, which is a shame, as the apartments themselves are nice, and the location is good. I hope they read this and take note.
not the cleanest place”
The shower area was not super clean. The tiles were broken and it. There is also a noticeable amount of mildew all over the shower area. It's about a kilometer walk to Dongzhimen station, so that can get fairly inconvenient. That said, there is a convenience store in one of the buildings which makes it fairly convenient. Checkin was also a pain. The host wasn't responsive on Agoda, and had to be WeChat. To be fair, the host is very responsive on WeChat. There was also a distinct stale air smell in the bathroom / kitchen area.
The room is old, run down and the bathroom has a very foul smell that comes out of the wash basin drain whenever water goes down it. the location is quite far from the train station and there is not much to do in the area. the air conditioning in the room was also non functional. i would only recommend staying here if budget is your main priority as the price is quite affordable .
Very BAD service apartment ”
No check in counter Dirty toilet Bad function windows No security, no good for family Bad service and No service No housekeeping Good price but no cleanliness and this service apartment is not suppose to be categorized in Agoda. I shot lots of photos and I do not know where to share them, Agoda please reply me and I will share them in the social medias.
Run-down rooms, quite dirty, but great location”
It must have been quite posh when it was built—wooden floor, marble bath, etc.—, but it has seen better days: plaster is peeling off the walls, wooden veneer is partly replaced by brown plastic film, cupboard hinges are half broken, the shower is leaking; the kitchen has two forks, two spoons, but no knives and only one glass; and cleaning is rather perfunctory: dust balls under the bed, shelves and wardrobes are filthy, and so is the fridge. But the location is great, and the view is quite nice.
Waited for 2 hours to check-in”
It was not mentioned during booking that the room is located within a secured property. Due to language issue, the guest was left to wait for 2 hours for hotel staff to come "pick" him up at the entrance of the security room. Was a major embarrassment!
Home away from home for a week”
We stayed in the Deluxe Suite. It was nice, but I probably would have gone with the cheaper room if I could do it over again. It does look like the pictures, but these are not brand new, so there is some wear and tear. All in all, I was happy with it. The apartment buildings in the surrounding area are fenced in and have 24 hour gated access, and even have a small store in the complex. There is also a "Western Market" about a 5 minute walk from the park. I read that there was a gym and pool in the complex, but I didn't have the time to find it or what I needed to do to use it. The location is excellent because the park is a short walk from the Subway Line 2, which does a loop around a portion of Beijing hat houses many of the attractions you will want to see. Line 2 also connects to most of the other Subway Lines that you can use to visit other attractions. Some of the reviews that I read commented on the cleanliness... I will admit that it was not the cleanest place I have stayed before. My fiance brought some cleaning tablets and did about an hour of cleaning, so no big deal. The finishes are not perfect, because let's be honest, not all guests take very good care of the place. Here's an idea... smokers, go outside and smoke! The most frustrating thing for me was trying to figure out the water heater in the bathroom. There are three switches on the wall in the bathroom: lights, fan, and water heater. We took a rusty orange bath the second night there because something happened with turning the water heater on and off; my recommendation, just leave it on. After that, everything was fine. Also, some people said that the staff was not very good. We had no issues, but my fiance is also Chinese. Even in Beijing, most people do not speak English. So if you are traveling, you will want either brush up on your Mandarin or seek the aid of someone who does speak it. Overall, this was a great place to stay. Although everything was not perfect, it was exactl
Good location, nice apartment”
The apartment is clean, although not spotless. And the facilities such as the kitchen, are good quality, but not perfect. Deficiencies were readily corrected by the staff, although some of them, such as missing items from the kitchen (only one drinking glass, no dish cloth) should have been obvious and rectified without me having to ask.
Looks good – until you look closely.”
The comedy began when I turned up to the apartment managers' office to find that they had locked themselves out; a local locksmith was trying (without much success) to let them back in. I stood there waiting. Everyone ignored me. Finally I went to get a coffee. I returned an hour later and was taken to the apartment – which was a good ten-minute walk from the office. (Seriously, could they not have an office in the same complex?) Inside, the rooms stank of cigarettes, and the young guy who took me there spoke nothing but Chinese, so he couldn't give me a password for the Wi-Fi, since he didn’t understand what I was asking. (He also looked at my Agoda booking form like he'd never seen one before.) From this point on, it was just a string of minor annoyances. The shower wouldn't drain. (So the bathroom was frequently flooded.) The toilet wouldn't flush properly. The front door wouldn't lock. (This proved to be a rather large annoyance, actually.) There was no internet. Even the remote control on the DVD player was broken – each button doing something other than what it was meant to. (For Play, press Eject!) In the middle of the night I was woken by a loud noise and turned on the light, to find that a small door had just fallen off a vent in the wall, who knows why. Individually, these things were a nuisance, and no big deal; it's not like I was expecting the Ritz. Cumulatively, though, they not only added up to a miserable and deeply frustrating stay, but also indicated something unfortunately typical to modern China: a widespread lack of attention to detail. The building is brand-new, but when you look closer, everything about it is cheap and badly-finished; it’s like the builders simply lost interest as the end of the job approached. For one night's stay, this was okay – and the location is excellent. But had it been for longer I would have gone mad.
Nice and quiet but nicely situated”
The apartments are small by wester standards but functional, the staff are friendly however of the five I interacted with only one spoke english. This made communicating any problems difficult at times, however once they understood they were extremely quick to resolve any problem. The apartments are situated close to the main embassy area as well as the shopping and entertainment areas. You will often find pedal cabs loitering outside looking to take you somewhere but most places are a short walk away. The metro is only a 5/10 min walk away if you leave through the north gate, making the entire city easily accessible for little or no cost.
Clean fast internet friendly staffs and quiet ”
Room is very clean. Internet was fast. Close to imported grocery store. Subway line 10 was 15min to 20min walk. Staffs are very friendly. It's necessary to request for pick up from hotel otherwise it wont be easy to find their reception area. The hotel is not on the same street. It's in a different building. Pick up costs 240RMB but if you take taxi its less than 100RMB. We booked for deluxe suite and it was small like maybe a superior room. We never bothered to ask if this was deluxe or superior as we were so tired with the delay of our flight. all in all it was a good hotel place to rest after busy day in the city.
great place for longer stays”
Stayed here for 5 months while on Business in Beijing. Rooms are studio apartments in a large gated apartment complex. There are many restaurants and bars nearby (Chinese and foreign). It is close to the metro so you can get anywhere in Beijing easily.
Very good apartmetn hotel”
The staff came and showed me the room and was very fast and efficient. There is no breakfast in this hotel because it is an apartment. Location is very good, you can walk to the bar street and international restaurats in about 10 minutes. The dongzhimen subway station is about 10 minutes by walking and its line 2. There is a also raffles shopping mall not far away just next to the dongzhimen station. This is an apartment, not a hotel! Room is also furnished and has what you need, fridge, soap, toothbrushes, shower, towels and good view.
Good location 10 minute walk to Subway”
Stayed here on a planned 1 night layover on my 4th trip to Beijing. I selected the hotel as it was walking distance from Worker's Stadium and the Airport Express Subway. I was satisfied that it was fair value for the money if staying a few days and you are going to make use of the complete kitchen to cook some of your own meals. There was a convienence store where you could get most essential suplies near the entrance to the building my 23 floor room was in. There was a bit of a hike from the hotel office to the building containing the rooms and it was about a 10 minute walk to the subway.
Great location and nice room”
Two nights in this hotel with good service, great location in security area, 10 mins walk from tube and airport express station , shopping centers and supermarket near by, clean room with good facilities and good price, friendly staffs with helping hands, certainly will stay again and strong recommend this hotel.
Great for long stay expats familiar with Beijing”
This is a great place for people doing 1 week to 2-3 month stays in Beijing. The price is reasonable, the internet is pretty fast, though it can lag at peak hours, and the view from the top floors is among the best in Beijing. The office is a bit difficult to find, but they have moved to a new location across from Holiday Express, which is not really in the apartment complex. The best is to call them, and they will come meet you very quickly. I have no complaints about the service. The room could have been nicer, with some renovations, but I have done worse in China, and it was workable. I would stay again.
Nice Hotel and best location”
The hotel is very nice and closest with Dongzhimen subway station which is the hub station to airport. the first time to be here was very difficult since it was a complex of apartments. You need to asked some people to show the address of reception room because it is not a hotel. The room is large, wifi provided, standard service room, so it is enough if you just stay for sleep.
this apartment is really great and has everything that you would need for a stay. wifi, aircon, washing machine, kitchen with stovetop and microwave, a shower in a box, etc. we found the beds comfortable (we've slept on harder in china). the rooms are spacious with the bathroom and kitchen separated. the service was really nice and friendly, and they spoke english very well. rooms are serviced every day. overall, it was a great place to stay.
Great location and great rooms”
We found this hotel to be a perfect location for sightseeing around Beijing. 5 - 10min walk from Dongzhimen station on line 2 (which loops around the central parts of the city) and also 5 - 10min walk from the airport express train (which we really recommend). Also, in the area around the stations are a couple department stores for shopping. The location of the apartment is a little difficult to find at first. The complex should be easy enough to find (you may see a few signs with "Seasons" on it). The apartment complex is split between north and south. You want to find the area that does not have the restaurant and swimming pool. Once in the correct area, look for building 25 and go to level 3. Inside the building they split the level in two parts, you want to walk to part 1 - room 311. We were very confused when we first arrived, but the staff around the copmlex are very friendly and a cleaning lady walked me all the way to the correct building, so helpful!!
Better Option than a standard Hotel”
Although the place was a little difficult to find at first the room itself was an absolute treat. You don't have to put up with normal hotel noises and because the rooms are serviced apartments you can't hear anything from either side or upstairs! I would put this place at the top of my list for an extended stay in Beijing. The room has everything - washing machine, iron, enough cooking utensils, an awesome shower, a grand view and a very effective security system on the door which made me confident to leave valuables inside the room. There are tennis courts downstairs and a basketball court if you feel like shooting a few baskets. The Dongzhimen subway station is but a short walk and as it's a central transfer point you can virtually get anywhere from there. Another bonus - it's also the entry to the Airport Express train. 25RMB gets you to Terminals 1, 2 and 3. Walk west and you will reach an Irish pub with an Indian restaurant upstairs and an Italian restaurant next door. Eat at the Italian restaurant - they serve everything and the food is a delight. Walk east and you will find a bakery about 150 metres along and they sell coffees and some delightful cakes. Little shops everywhere, bust stop out the front! This will be my first choice when visiting Beijing in future. One complaint - those Chinese beds are killers. Mattress soooooo hard!!
