Clean, tidy facilities & reasonably good sized rooms for Tokyo. Majority of staff were very friendly & spoke English well. Breakfast was very good value & a wide selection available. Extra toiletries choices are available at the front desk Very happy to recommend this hotel (and their others in this chain).
Hotel extremely clean and staff were friendly and accommodating. Close to shopping, food and transportation. Only problem is they have no transport pick up to the airport, you have to look and make arrangements yourself. If you have no extra luggage public trains are convenient
Short walk from the train. Only need one train from the airport. Easy to access other spots in Tokyo by train. The hotel is very clean and updated. Good size room for Tokyo. They give you great amenities daily. Good price. Also many great eating drinking spots right outside the hotel.
Richmond Hotel surprise me in a quite positive way, the room was so nice that was difficult to check out :). The breakfast was very pleasant, meanwhile I was enjoying my food, was observing the old store opening and all the slow and smooth movement in a unique neighbourhood of Asakusa...
The Asakusa Richmond is a great home base for traveling within Tokyo. It's right next to Sensoji Temple for night viewing after the crowds of tourist leave, and among all the other restaurants is a convenient 7-11 just a few store fronts down. As for transportation, the Asakusa station (one of the three) is about 5 minutes walk. I found this hotel clean, friendly and helpful staff, and just a great location. Book this place if you see it available, cause it might not be while you're thinking about it.
Amazing Hotel with a centralised location. ”
It's super amazing. It's located in a busy Asakusa streets. Nearby the Sensoji temple, you can never be at lost at finding what food to eat! There's even a Halal Karaage/Ramen/Udon stall nearby the Sensoji temple. Lots of sweet snacks and street grilled delicacies. The hotel interior is grand. Spacious! And multi-cable chargers is included! Definitely will consider staying here on my next Tokyo visit :)
Fantastic location ”
Nice hotel, great location 1min walk from Senso Ji temple😱, with room you getting free “handy” device which is android cellphone so you can take with you around and don’t need to worry to spend so much coz your provider will rip you off, rooms are pretty big for Japanese standards, I’m not satisfied with breakfast to be honest, better eat outside around hotel you have many better and cheaper places to eat, stuff are very friendly and helpful, of course they speak English as well, for 3⭐️ Hotel is very good, I prefer hotel next door 4⭐️ Richmond Premier International but all rooms been booked already(during hanami/sakura aka cherry blossom). I will stay there also from 26.03-3.04
Excellent value and location”
This is my second time staying at a Richmond Hotel in Tokyo, and the value and practicality of their hotels will keep me coming back. The Single room I received on the 6th floor was quiet, comfortable and clean, and offered a usable desk space for laptop work. Wifi speeds were mediocre but stable at around 10Mbit down/10Mbit up. Having a coin-operated laundry room was handy during my 8-night stay. They also offer nice bathroom amenities for free including a washcloth and razor. I only wish they had a fitness center.
Good clean spacious hotel, near Don Quito 24 hours shopping.
The Richmond Hotel Asakusa is a fine hotel located in one of the most popular tourist areas of Tokyo. As with my previous experiences with Richmond properties, their staff is friendly and attentive. The rooms are clean and fairly spacious as far as Japanese hotels go (though still small compared to most North American hotels). The key to this hotel (and the sister Richmond Hotel Premier Asakusa International a few steps away) is the surrounding area. You are smack dab in the middle of Asakusa. Restaurants are everywhere! You will have a difficult time not finding a good place to eat. In fact, you'll have a harder time choosing where to go!
I personally like Asakusa area although it is a bit far from the city. However, there are many small shops and eateries around. We specially stayed there to count down. Very convenient to Sensoji temple.
Perfect for a short stay”
No cons only pros, location is excellent for Tokyo via 2 metro lines and Nikko via Tobu line. Dozens of restaurants etc near by.
Great location ”
Great location, right by Senso-Ji temple and only 5 mins walk to the Metro station offering easy access to rest of the city. The room was very clean and functional. Breakfast options are a bit limited.
The room isn't cramped as opposed to most hotels at this price range in Tokyo. Clean room. Standard Japanese service. Located next to Asakusa (Tsukuba express) station, Don Quixote, Matsukiyo, Sensoji. Many popular restaurant chains in the area. They provide a cellphone in your room for making a call, but you will have to make the restaurant reservation yourself as one of the staff told me. The staff could call a cab to pick you up in front of the hotel. All in all, nice place to stay.
My favorite hotel of the trip”
My wife and I stayed 2 nights at Hotel Richmond and were very happy with it. The value for the money is the highest of any hotel we stayed in during our trip. The front desk staff all spoke english and were helpful. The location was incredibly convenient to Senso-ji temple (we walked through it many times). There are tons of cute restaurants in the area less than 3 minute walk away. This was our first trip to tokyo and really liked the slightly quieter feel of asakusa compared to Shibuya where we stayed later in the trip. If I get a chance to come back to Japan I will definitely stay there again.
You get what you pay for.”
There are more economical options for lodging in Asakusa, but you get what you pay for with this hotel. What you get is a hotel with excellent customer service. For example, the front desk clerk who assisted us with the check-in spoke very good English. Once we completed the check-in process, she accompanied us to the elevator and bowed--and remained bowed--as the door closed. The hotel's location is also excellent. It is located practically next to the Sensoji Temple and close to numerous restaurants and shops. We could see the Temple and the Tokyo Skytree from our room. I would recommend this hotel to my friends without hesitation.
Excellent experience ”
A lot of local restaurants nearby. The view is good as we can see Skytree from room. We can experience the differences of both day and night time in this area. The service provided by this hotel group is always good.
great hotel. great location”
great hotel. double room a bit small. triple room is big enough. The location is great. 5 minutes from the tample,. 2 minutes from 7/11. less than 10 minutes to 2 train stations. a lot of restaurants around
Good location, close to everything.”
This hotel looks new and clean. They provide Pola brand toiletries and the slippers are comfy. The location is good. It’s between Tawaramachi and Asakusa stations which means you can access either of them. Tawaramachi station is a little bit closer. Please be aware if you have luggage, then go with Asakusa station exit 1 as Tawaramachi station is not main station, there’s no elevator in it. There are 3 big supermarkets and a couple of convenient stores around this hotel. Restaurants everywhere. The hotel is at back of Sensoji temple(200m), about 2 mins walk. We enjoyed our stay here.
great location ”
This hotel is located right beside the Senso-ji temple and many restaurants are steps away. It is close to the subway station too. The room was super clean and modern, but bit small. We had two big suitcases and not much space left. We stayed at 7th floor and the view from the room was superb. (light up of the temple and sky tree..) Staff were very helpful and always there for customers.
