Our second stay in this hotel. Pros - Excellent location right next to walking street with lots of restaurants and shops. Very helpful and friendly staff (except one in restaurant!). Has coin laundry facilities * did not use this time). Book a large room - very comfortable and clean. Cons - none for this stay. Will certain stay at the Hotel if we visit Kagoshima any time in the future.

Excellent location, superb service”
Excellent location, short walk to everything - shopping, dining, tram station, bus terminal, etc. Service was superb. A front desk lady was particularly worth mentioning (pity I forgot her name). Besides speaking impeccable English - by Japanese standard, that is - she really went the extra mile to impress her guests. When we returned to the hotel a few hours after check-out to pick up our bags, she came to us from nowhere and told us she had noticed that we missed breakfast in the morning. To make up for that, she offered us 2 big boxes of fruit cake to take away, which turned out to be really tasty. That was truly touching!

Location is good. Just few minutes walk from the airport bus terminal. Also, it is located in the downtown area of Kumamoto. All restaurants and tourist spots are within walking distance.

I had a one-night stayover in Kumamoto and this hotel was just what I needed. It's located near a shopping area with many things to see and the bed was comfortable. The staff was very friendly and overall I'm pleased with the stay.

This hotel is nice but rooms are a bit small. However, being in Japan previous years before, it's pretty much typical for 3 star hotels in Japan. The location is great though. Right smack dab in the Shinshigai Sunroad arcade shopping plaza surrounded by tons of local places to eat, shop and drink. Plus a 10 minute walk from the Kumamoto Castel. Breakfast, for the rather nutritious healthy "Asian style" that it is nonetheless overpriced. (1,800 yen!) Other than that the hotel is nice.

As many have said, the location is good being only 10 - 15 minutes by taxi and 20 min or so by bus away from Kumamoto station. It is situated within an arcade with a multitude of shops and restaurants nearby, which are open late if you are arriving at night. Kumamoto castle is nearby and was about a 15 minute walk away from the hotel. We booked during golden week which may have made it more expensive for the somewhat small room but the facilities were clean and well kept. Unfortunately, no non-smoking rooms were available when we checked in so we had to stay in a smoking room, which made the stay a bit uncomfortable for us.

Quit good location close to the main shopping street, and train station, many restaurants and shops nearby, also close to Kumamoto City and other tourism points. On the other hand, price level acceptable, but room size a bit smaller than expected, 2 medium size luggages maybe not be easy to place and open at same time. But over good hotel, will consider to stay again.

Perfect location where hotel directly on Shimotori shopping arcade. Walking distance to Kumamon Square, Kumamoto castle... Hotel is modern, clean, beautiful However there is a small problem as we’re driving. We couldn’t find the hotel location as the gps kept leading us to shopping arcade. Hotel parkings are a short walk from hotel, which is ok, but a little problem when we have young children n old senior couple.
