Great value in Narita”

Very clean rooms, good inexpensive breakfast

This is my second stay at the Richmond Hotel Narita. I chose the hotel based on the reviews on tripadvisor and here on agoda.com. Although the hotel is in Narita, it was an easy train ride into Tokyo (about 60 mintues), and I felt like a local riding with everyone in the morning and going back at night. I even took the eveningliner from Aoto back to Narita station, it was very relaxing and easily worth the 400 yen extra. The breakfast buffet was only 1000 yen and although the selection is limited, the food was good. My room was small, clean and very comfortable. Don't miss visiting the Narita-san temple, which is a short walk from the hotel. It was absolutely amazing and completely free.

nice location”

We stayed here the night before leaving Japan. It was easy to get to using the JrPass. It's the Narita stop and not the Narita airport stop. From the rail station it was about a 5 minute cab ride to the Richmond - or you could walk it easily without a lot of luggage.. There are lots of little shops and restaurants nearby to spend the last of your Yen in Japan so the location was great. The souvenirs to buy in this neighborhood are nicer and less expensive than those in the airport- seriously. Be sure to keep about 4,000 .Yen for the cab ride to the airport. Even though it is really close we had a cab driver who seemed to take the long way and the ride from Richmond Hotel in Narita to the Narita A/P cost 4,000. yen (about $40.00) This hotel is clean and the staff very helpful and friendly - even very late - we arrived at around 1:00 a.m. - also late checkout - 11:00 was nice. They have a nice little restaurant attached to the hotel.

Best value! Spotless room and excellent service”

Room was absolutely spotless, and had all the comforts and amenities of far more expensive hotels. Staff was excellent - very helpful, spoke English, professional, and pleasant.

The Richmond Hotel Narita is located about 2 minutes walk from the Narita train stop, and is only 5 stops from Narita airport - very convenient. Because of the low price we were expecting only a so-so room, but we were so pleasantly surprised to find a really nice room! Room size, although a bit small by western standards, is average for Japan. The room was absolutely spotlessly clean - every inch of it - and it did not show any undue wear. The bathroom was equally nice, with lots of hot water and soft towels. Finally, the front desk staff, both late at night, and during the day, are fabulous! They were friendly, spoke English well, professional, pleasant to deal with, and were a great help to us. We simply had a perfect stay!

Free shuttle bus to Narita Airport”

We love the location of this hotel. We stayed here because we have a 11.10am flight at Narita and Richmond provides free shuttle bus. Be sure to book your seats for this bus as it carries only 20pax. We sent our luggage ahead from Tokyo City to Richmond. When we checked in, the luggage are already in our rooms. To go to this hotel, take train or limo bus to terminal 2, then a train ride to Keiso-Narita 1st train stop. Richmond Hotel is just 5min walk from the station. NARITASAN Shrine is walking distance from hotel. Nearby is Aeon Mall. Can do last min shopping at supermarket n pack the goodies into cartons. The room is very clean, very muji style. I believe they change the bedsheets everyday because I can feel the crisp of the sheets!

Don't go rushing from Tokyo to Narita International at silly hours of the day and start freaking out that you are going to miss your flight - STAY HERE THE NIGHT BEFORE! You get a free shuttle bus to the airport every hour or so - book your spot the night before and relax as you get to the airport in about 25 mins. The main hotspots of Narita are just a 5 minute walk away from the hotel, all around the train station area. There are loads of eating choices and mostly good quality. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean, staff are super helpful and the room is very modern and clean. We had 3 beds in our room and there was still plenty room. I was very pleasantly surprised by the hotel and Narita itself. Definitely recommend a stay here.

Wonderful service and clean, organized rooms”

Breakfast was delicious, the rooms were clean and had every amenity, service spoke perfect English

we had a lovely time at the richmond hotel narita, although we only stayed one night so i'm sure we did not get to use all of the amenities they provide. the breakfast service was delicious, the rooms had plenty of space, large amenities in the bathroom so you are not stuck using small samples, and a energy saving key system that turns off your electricity for you when you leave the room (although this can cause a problem if you are in the bath and your significant other needs the key so he can use the elevator, you are left in pitch black darkness trying to find how to turn off the water). the stay was perfect and the beds were comfy, we somehow missed the free shuttle service but the keisei skyline narita stop puts you right across the street from the hotel. i would stay here again, and recommend it to others.

I really enjoyed my stay at Richmond hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel is equipped with all amenities in room or on rental or paid services. Convenience store is located at 3 mins walking distance. Although limited but free bus service is available from hotel to Narita Airport. Its about a 15 - 20 min drive from hotel to Narita Airport. You need to book the bus in advance as the bus is a mini bus, so you might not find any room.

Nice hotel. Great Location”

Location, free wi-fi.

nice hotel but the rooms were small. rooms are accessed with a key card that also operates the electrical functions of the room such as lighting and a/c. only drawback was you can't return to the room on a hot day with the a/c already on/cold. minor inconvenience because when the a/c is turn on, it cools the room quickly. hotel is in a great location because the rail station to tokyo is a short walk away and the hotel is close to narita international airport with hotel shuttle service operating till 2p.m approx. i would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Ideal jumping-off point for Narita airport”

Our stay at the Narita Richmond hotel was amazingly cheap, coming as it did through a special deal with Agoda. Not only is there a free shuttle but to the airport (about a 20 minute ride), there was also a very useful list of nearby restaurants for evening meals (we patronised the suggested yakitori, a brisk, lively piece of classic Japan, heavily used by the locals) as well as an excellent breakfast in the hotel itself. The bed was a decent size and very comfortable, and everything was spotless.

Incredible option for transit passengers ”

Had an early morning 10am flight from Narita out.. Meant reporting at eight am.. Checked into the Richmond for one night just to avoid long travel from Shinjuku to the airport cause that would have meant leaving at 6 am. This hotel ten minutes from the Narita airport station.. Plus the hotel offers free shuttle services to and from the airport if you need them and don't feel like catching the train. In twenty one days of travelling all over Japan from Sapporo in the North to Kagoshima in the South and staying in at least ten different hotels I can confidently say that this hotel offered the warmest hospitality and the friendliest most helpful support I'd recieved anywhere in Japan. Just avoid the smoking rooms if you're a non smoker. The rooms are comfortable, bathrooms spacious enough, restaurant fair value, plus location wise it's ten minutes walk from the Narita Station. There's a Lawson store across the road and at least thirty restaurants around the station streets.
