Excellent Location”

Richmond Hotel Premier Asakusa International is located in one of the most vibrant districts of metropolitan Tokyo. It's the perfect place to base oneself in when you are into culture and history. Stayed in the hotel for the Sanja Festival, and it was just perfect! Events were taking place right on the very doorstep. A big plus is there's a lot of shopping and restaurants in close proximity, as well as, the train station. The hotel is modern and clean and the staff are very helpful and friendly. I will stay here again the next time i go to Sanja Festival.

The most worthed base for Asakusa, or even Tokyo.”

We incredibly loved our stay in Richmond Premier Asakusa! 5-10 minutes walk to anywhere in Asakusa area (10 minutes walk from the main Asakusa station/Kaminarimon Gate). Located on top of a small shopping mall with Don Quijote, Yoshinoya, Matsuya, Sukiya, Katsuya and a bunch of eatery & small cute shops in the heart of Asakusa it's really hard to beat the convenience and location of this hotel! If you're planning to explore in depth Asakusa and its surrounding area there's no place in Asakusa that can offer a better value than this one. The staff speaks perfect English, the rooms clean (albeit a bit small, but it's already bigger than any other average Japan hotel rooms), with complete amenities. They even offer a walking guide map of Asakusa and discount coupon for Don Quijote! Never been so hyped up for a hotel review, but I'm recommending this to all Agoda users who will visit Asakusa, don't hesitate you're not making awrong choice, you can click that book button now.

Great hotel, good location”

Had a wonderful stay at the Richmond Hotel Premier in the Asakusa area of Tokyo. They even let us leave a luggage bag for 2 weeks prior to our stay with them while we went around Japan, so we could take a smaller amount around with us (we'd been travelling in a colder climate before Japan). Great service, very helpful, clean, comfortable, good views from rooms, close to lots of local eating places and sights. Subway very close by and a market place for shopping, although more for the tourists these days, but good for a look. Would definitely recommend and stay at this hotel again!

Solid location and value for exploring Tokyo's East Side”

Richmond Hotels are solid choices for mid-tier travel with good facilities and locations. The hotel is just a short 100M walk from the Asakusa Tsukuba Express line, but that means you are having to transfer at Akihabara to access JR, or walk about 800M to the Asakusa Station for the Asakusa or Ginza lines for direct downtown access. However, this is convenient for exploring Asakusa, Kappabashi ("Kitchen Town"), Akihabara, Ueno, and the Sumida River. Access to the Sumida River Park was on of the best parts of my stay: I did a morning run along the River almost as far as Tsukiji Market and it was fantastic. As for the Hotel, I was on the 9th floor facing west (away from Sensoji and Skytree). Not a great view, but room 925 actually had a partially obstructed view of Mt Fuji and Shinjuku skyline, which was nice. I recommend this property for good (not great) location and value. Note that they charge 2500 JPY for the buffet breakfast at their on-site restaurant, which we declined.

Nice hotel right next to Sensō-ji”

Richmond Hotel Premier Asakusa International is a great hotel, with perfect location, right in the middle of Asakusa and literally 2 minutes away from famous Sensō-ji & five-storied pagoda. There are a lot of great restaurants in the vicinity and there is 7-Eleven right next door, where you can withdraw money and buy something for breakfast if it wasn't included in your deal.

The hotel was located at a good location. Within walking distance to train stations, and to tourist attraction, Sensoji temple. Easy to access from hotel via Airport Limousine that drops off at Asakusa View hotel, which is less than 10 mins walk to Richmond. Staff at hotel are all very pleasant and welcoming. Greeted warmly every morning at breakfast time. Staff is pro-active and never fails to offer my child a baby seat and cutleries, even before having me to ask. Break fast is local spread, which is awesome. Food and cutleries are neat and tidily placed, for the guests. I miss the hotel as much as I miss my Tokyo trip. Thank you, Richmond Hotel for making our stay a memorable one.

Very good place to stay in Tokyo”

Richmond Premier was located a minute's walk from a big Don Quiote store which was great for buying snacks or souvenirs. It was also close to the Tsukuba Express line which was 2-3 min's walk from the hotel. Sensoji Temple, which is a heritage site, is a stone's throw away. There are many wonderful small shops for you to explore on your way to Sensoji temple. What was great about Richmond Premier was that it was linked to a 4-storey building which had restaurants from level 2, 3 and 4. On level 1 was a small food market selling local snacks. Lawsons is a 2-minute walk away and 7-11 about 4 minutes from the hotel. Housekeeping staff was great as the room was always cleaned well. Front desk staff were also polite and professional. Wifi-strength in the room was also strong. There were 3 levels with laundry rooms which you can actually check the status of the washer from the TV in your room. The level my room was in, level 11, has a microwave oven and vending machine.

A great base in a great Tokyo neighborhood”

Asakusa is a great location from which to explore Tokyo. The Richmond Premier is a great choice for Asakusa. It's location is fabulous, right in the middle of this exciting neighborhood and within a block of the Senso-ji temple, one of Tokyo's great sights. The rooms are reasonably sized, efficient and clean. The staff could not be nicer and more accommodating. The breakfast is excellent. Downstairs are a series of restaurants and food shops that provide most everything a traveler would want.

Richmond Hotel Premier is in the heart of Asakusa, just a few minutes walk to the train station. There are lots of choices for food, and seems to be more affordable than other parts of Tokyo. It's a quieter part of the city, the rooms are rather big. We love it here :)

We so glad that we choose Richmond Premier Asakusa for our 4 days stay. Although the room not too spacious, but it's clean and the location it so perfect. Just 5 minutes walk to Sensoji temple, there is Donki ( 24 hours supermarket ), and Rox Mall. It must be our first choice hotel when we back to Tokyo.

Great location with far more pros than cons”

Pros: - Working cell phone in each room to take with you. Our family had 3 rooms so calling the room number on each phone called each other when out and about. Google maps was invaluable as well as internet at all times. -Room was small but comfortable for two. Bathroom was modern and new. - Location was great; Senso-ji temple and lots of places to eat/drink was in the immediate area Only a short 10 min walk to the subway Tawaramchi or Asakusa JR station were a 10 min walk either way. - Clean modern hotel with craft stores on the 1st four levels of the building. Grocery store on 1st floor was Whole Foods/ Trader Joe like. - Full size washer and separate dryer on each floor and relatively inexpensive. Detergent included. Cons: - Water hot pot and drip coffe was so-so... in room nespresso machine is my expectation for the price point and being an ‘international’ hotel. - TV had no English channels... again, ‘International’ hotel??? I only wanted to watch the news.

Very impressive”

Second visit to the Richmond Premiere and the more I'm here the more I appreciate the hotel for its location and the rooms facilities. The room's cosy in size, like most Japanese hotel rooms, but they've cleverly squeezed so many extras into the room that I just think it's fabulous. There's a free use of a mobile with internet and local calls, masses of electrical points, a phone charger that'll work for most common phones, a good well equipped bathroom, fridge, safe that is big enough to take my laptop, many in other hotels aren't, along with most other facilities you'd expect. Breakfast is very good, there are restaurants every where nearby, including in the lower floors of the same building, a great tax free shop across the road and many, many shops and stores within easy walking distance, and the wonderful Senso-ji Temple within an easy 10 minute walk. Difficult to fault.

The hotel is opposite Richmond hotel which is a bit confusing. This one is the Richmond Premier International which is on the 5th - 13th floor of a mall. walking distance to subway and point of interests. We find it very clean in all aspects and with a great view of the Skytree on the terrace

Great place to soak yourself in Japanese culture”

The hotel is strategically located next to the busy streets of Asakusa district, near the famous Sensoji Shrine. There are plenty of little eateries and restaurants that serves good Japanese food at a reasonable price. The hotel is also next to the Asakusa branch of Don Quijote, where tourists can buy almost everything they need. While we were staying in the hotel, the Sensoji Shrine was busy with activities and we saw some cultural processions which made the trip even more interesting. The hotel is very near the Asakusa Station for the Tsukuba Express line. However, most tourists will use the station for the Ginza line and the Toei Asakusa line more often, and the stations for these two lines are a good distance away. This was probably the only drawback for the otherwise great location that the hotel is situated in.

Nice hotel with friendly staff”

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for two nights from 14 Jun to 16 Jun. The hotel is not really easy to find for first timer as it is about ten minutes walk from the Asakusa Staion via the Ginza line. The hotel looked new with modern fcilities and don don donki is just next door. The room size is big for Japanese standard in Tokyo and the international breakfast is good and the lounge area is big. Is world cup time and yet there is no bar area in the hotel for watching world cup. Friendly staff made the stay a pleasant one.

Almost like my second home in Tokyo”

It's our second time staying at this hotel. I like the neighborhood, there are shops and places to eat nearby and can still be quiet. I personally don't like crowds so I prefer staying here. From Asakusa (this hotel's location) to main shopping districts like Shinjuku and Shibuya, it takes around 40 mins by train. So if you would like to shop frequently in those areas, you might want to look for a nearby hotel or take a cab for convenience. The room has a nice view of sensoji temple and the sky tree. The room size is okay considering hotel rooms in Tokyo are generally small. It is well kept. The staffs are always accommodating despite the language barrier, they always try their best. The breakfast buffet also improved compared to our last stay.

Very nice stay”

We spent here the last 2 days of our japan trip, and we loved it. Pros : Location is very nice, right next to sensoji temple and asakusa shopping/restaurants. You can see the sensoji temple when you go out of the elevator. The room is not the biggest, but very cozy and confortable. Good bathroom. Clean room. You also get free drinks on the day you check-in. The staff was helpful and nice. Cons : not much really, the room is not the biggest but other than that, no complaints. Overall, loved out stay, will come book again if we come back to tokyo. Couldn't ask for a better location in tokyo. I recommend Asakusa, I find it a lot better than staying near shinjuku/shibuya.

Best hotel to stay at Asakusa area”

Been to Tokyo 4 times and staying at Asakusa area. This is my first time staying at Richmond Hotel Premier and very satisfied with the room and service quality. However, we found out a bit difficult when manoeuvring, storing or opening our two big size luggages as the room space that we booked not suitable for big luggage size. So, next time I stay on this premise, I will only bring medium or small size luggage instead. Overall, this is one of the best hotel I have experienced at Asakusa area.

Great value for money and excellent location”

We’ve been travelling round Japan for 3 weeks and stayed in a few hotels now. This one is great value for money, really good sized room, with fabulous views of Asakusa. Everything you need in your room and space to move around and stretch out your legs when sitting in the chair. Immaculately clean, very friendly and helpful staff. Great location for getting around Asakusa and Tokyo with subway only 10min walk away. Lots of restaurants, shops and places of interest within walking distance. Would definitely come back and highly recommend it.

Near halal foods”

The location is great, only a few blocks from Asakusa Station and from the lobby we could see the Sensoji Temple and Tokyo Skytree. And of course, Don Quijote which opens 24 hrs just outside my window and good to do some last minute shopping. As a Moslem, the location is great since some halal foods are around Asakusa area. The room is good enough for me but might be a little small for 2 person., but very clean. The staff are nice and helpful. Check in was easy and check out early at 6 am conveniently used the automatic machine. The cons only about the tv channel. They put a relatively big flatscreen tv for a tiny room but it was useless, all channel are in Japanese. At least provide some channels in English to appreciate us foreigners.
