Japanese hospitality at it's best”
Convenient location, 5 minute walk to Kyoto station, convenient shop and food right in the same street. Staff were really helpful with the extra services that we needed. Honest people too. Room doesn't have the best view, but it is spacious, clean and generally quiet. The mattress, pillows and bidet are good! Other notable facilities are the self-service laundry, yummy tea time sweet treats, and a cup of evening sake on the house.

The Best I've stayed so far”
This has really got to be the best hotel in terms of service and convenience. Staff is very friendly and well trained. Amenities like washing machines and vending machines are very easily understood on the location in the hotel. They even provide free afternoon snacks and evening wine /beverages for you to chill. Rooms were quite spacious. Near to Kyoto station. A very good rated Ramen shop just beside the hotel. I think I can't ask for more, this has got to be the best, well exceeding the value of the booking.

Newish, convenient location and great staff service”
One of my favorite places to stay during our travel across Tokyo, Nagano, Kyoto and Osaka. It is a newer building compared to the other hotels we stayed. Fresh, clean bedding and towels and comfortable beds. Staff is so helpful and polite. Close walk to the JR train station (10min walk) and lovely small family owned restaurants just 1-2 min walk away. Family mart is 5min walk. In Kyoto, we traveled to most places via buses. The bus stop is 3-4min walk from the hotel. From the bus stop, we took direct buses to Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, Kinkakuji (金閣寺, Golden Pavilion) and Gion. Super easy. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Great value for money.

Perfect stay”
Walking distance to Kyoto Station which is connected to shopping centres. Lawson and Seven Eleven nearby. Staffs are very friendly. They speak English and tried hard to assist us. Hotel is equipped with vending machines, microwave and washing machine at different level. Thank you, Richmond!

I really love the ambience of the hotel. The hotel staffs are really friendly and courteous. The room is just nice for a solo traveller like me with 2 luggages (24" and 20"). I really appreciated that I can check the availability of the laundromat via the TV SYSTEM and do my laundry without hassle. It is about 5-6mins walk to JR kyoto station.

Room was small but well laid out with ample room for the three of us. Room was clean and the front staff was friendly and helpful. Location was great being close to Kyoto station and bus stops. No hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Staffs are very helpful and attentive . Hotel provides free drinks and hot tea at the restaurant. The desserts are awesome. . Must try on the dessert. Free gifts are given upon check in. We will come back to Richmond again if we are in Kyoto.

I had a most comfortable stay for a week! Location is around 7 mins walk from Kyoto station which is great because you get access to all the trains and buses. The hotel has a beautiful Japanese garden which creates a most peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The room (comfort single) is more spacious than I thought and the bathroom is just super - water temperature and power ^^ 5 ⭐️!!! Breakfast is mostly Japanese but very tasty and the restaurant is also beautiful like the garden.

Nice and very clean hotel with good staff”
Very nice welcoming Japanese garden slsetting to make you feel relax once enter the hotel. Nice staff as I need support in Eng, and they do have helpful staff for that. Surprised with their complementary tea in Japanese dessert style and sake tasting everyday, woohoo! Very clean hotel, no doubt!!

A good find for us. It has a very very nice Japanese traditional design. A very nice garden at the lobby. I loved the room so much that I did not want to leave. Very roomy for a hotel room in Japan. The staff were amazing and very professional. We arrived a few hours early and they did their best to accommodate us. It is located maybe around 10 mins from the Kyoto Main Train Station (which is a very huge underground mall. It has everything. You can absolutely get lost in there). Will definitely go back there again.

My husband's favourite hotel! The lobby was beautiful and their hospitality was superb. The room was also big and we appreciate the rose salt bath given. We also love the free coffee and tea provided at the lounge. Wished we stayed here longer than just a night. Definitely our go to hotel in Kyoto!

hotel is just 5 mins away from the Kyoto station and the main bus terminal. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The room are comfortable and newly renovated. Enjoy so much of the refreshment in the afternoon and supper at the night time. I'll definitely stay in this hotel next time i come to Kyoto.

We really like the hotel it’s closer to all the places that we planned to go. Very clean and the staffs are very friendly and helpful. Hotel doesn’t have a parking but the 24/hrs parking is really close. Very affordable price for a big family.
