A Great Experience!”
The Richmond Hotel Premier Tokyo Oshiage is conveniently located right across the street from the Tokyo Skytree and the Oshiage Station. There are direct trains to and from both Narita and Haneda airports. Rooms are spacious as far as Tokyo hotels go. Plenty of coin-operated laundry machines. The supermarket located below the hotel is a great convenience for snacks and meals. I recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
One of the best hotels so far”
I have tried near 10 hotels in Japan so far, Richmond Hotel Premier Tokyo Oshiage just takes over my number one choice, 3-bed room is large and comfortable, all 3 of us can open our luggage easily; huge super market at first floor, convenient store around corner plus free steps away from a large shopping center and various restaurants at Sky Tree. Metro subway with elevator also few steps away. Superb hotel.
Great hotel and friendly staff”
We booked the Superior Twin Room, and it was very clean and spacious. The hotel, in general, is well appointed! The staff were friendly and helpful. We loved the fact that it is near a mall and a supermarket. It is also easy to go around Tokyo as several train lines stop on Oshiage/Skytree station. Lastly, it was very convenient going to and from Narita Airport, just 50 minutes. We'd love to go back to Richmond Hotel Premier!
Spectacular Pre-Christmas vacation in Tokyo”
We had the most enjoyable and convenient stay in Richmond Premier Oshiage. The 2 double rooms for max of 2 and 3 pax were big compared to the hotel we stayed in Osaka the previous year. It was an excellent idea to separate the toilet area from the shower/ bathtub area, and the sink area. The hotel was so generous to provide us with extra bed in both rooms. The beds and pillows are absolutely comfy! The cleaning staff were very efficient! It is so convenient to have a supermarket on the ground floor of the hotel, Solamachi mall and Skytree in front of it, where the bus to Disney Resorts are, and the Oshiage train station also across the hotel that has a direct train to Narita and Haneda airport! I would definitely recommend this to my friends and will stay here again! Kudos to the management and staff!
Excellent hotel, would love to stay here again”
Richmond hotel is excellently located right across Oshiage station. Tokyo Skytree town is right across the street, and Solamachi offers quick access to dining, shopping and recreational facilities. The room was spacious spacious enough to accommodate 4 very comfy beds for myself, hubby and 2 kids. The hotel seems quite new so everything was in top condition, and very clean and well maintained. There is no shortage of fresh clean towels, robes, coffee and tea even when you decline to have the room cleaned - Staff will leave these necessities right outside your door for when you return. Excellent value for money too. Will happily return to this hotel when i go to Tokyo again.
Simple lobby, nicer than Holiday Inn lobby but not luxurious as Hilton Tokyo or Imperial Palace lobby. Sizzlers restaurant off lobby. $20 buffet breakfast, join Richmond Hotels points program, restaurant will give you 10% of your meals. 5 minutes you get card at the hotel front desk. Keep in mind when deciding on a breakfast incl price. Rooms luxurious , modern, fresh clean. Had queen luxurious, but very cramped as no room for suitcases. Couldn't use desk as had to prop up suitcase. Had a little bar that had a light in the top and a mirrored back. I used that mirror sometimes lol. And another suitcase on top. iPad "handy phone" for use, shaver, brush, soap toothbrush/paste, pant press, full length mirror, safe, PJ's, slippers, hair dryer and more. Stay in the room with two single beds as they are more spacious, double sinks, separate toilet room. Had the chance to get a good look when they were cleaned. At the Oshiage Sky Tree line and the Skytree.
Perfect Place for a Tokyo Get-away”
We found the Richmond Premier Oshiage as the perfect place to base your explortion of Tokyo. Although as previously mentioned by a lot of reviewers that it is far from the city center, we found it acceptable to travel 15-30 mins more to get the service we got at Richmond and the great value for money. Stay was near perfect and I could not fault it for anything.
Top Hotel in Top Spot”
Great hotel. New-ish, good location, 2 mins from Oshiage station, walking distance to Asakusa, and right next door to the Sky Tree. Sky Tree shopping mall is large, with huge food court, and many restaurants and specialty shops. Also the hotel is located above Life Supermarket, a very large supermarket with virtually anything you could need to buy. 25 minutes by subway (Hanzomon Line) to Tokyo central. Rooms are very spacious by Tokyo standards - 38 meters for a twin room - with good facilities. Only issue is the slow internet. But a FREE mobile phone with unlimited data and phone calls within Japan and to the US and other countries is included. It includes 4G, so if you tether the hotspot to other devices the internet works at a good speed. Overall definitely would stay again.
2nd Visit Same As The First”
My second stay atthe Richmond Hotel Premier Tokyo Oshiage was just as pleasant as the first. Great location, great staff, great room. I will stay here or at other Richmond properties again.
Excellent location, clean and reasonably sized rooms”
We enjoyed our 6 nights stay here. Location is simply excellent with the Oshiage metro station literally at our doorstep. The double room is decent sized for Tokyo standards and we love that the laundry room has quite a number of washer dryers. And.. that we can check the status of our washing/drying on our TV screen! It’s just so considerate and convenient. We would definitely return to Richmond Oshiage on our next trip to Tokyo.
modern hotel with great staff and facilities”
We have stayed twice at Richmond Oshiage. Both times were enjoyable. The front desk staff and the Sizzler restaurant staff were kind and helpful. The rooms were well kept, thoroughly cleaned everyday and had everything that we needed. It is just one train ride to and from Narita airport. Life Supermarket, which is beside the hotel, is huge and open until 12 midnight. The only downside is that Oshiage is quite far from my favorite places, so it takes me around 30-45 minutes to get to the places I want to see. But Tokyo subway is super efficient so the distance isn't that bad anyway.

The best hotel for my trip in Japan. Very close to Oshiage station. (Hanzomon line direct to Shibuya). Also you can reach Narita by direct train from Oshiage Station. Very convenience. The hotel is across Solamachi shopping mall and Tokyo Skytree. Also there are Life supermarket and Nitori under this hotel. Room are very spacious. And we got a nice view of Solamachi and Skytree from our room. They also lend you a handyphone with internet data. Staffs are very polite and have a good english. They even gave the cute amenity kits for my toddlers. I think I'm gonna stay here again for my next trip to Tokyo.
Excellent Location, Very Polite Staff”
Our stay was fantastic! The location is superb (less than 3 mins walk to the entrance to get down into Oshiage station)! Service staff are very polite and provided very good service too =D Nearest exit to the hotel from Oshiage Station is Exit B3. =D Also, the facilities / amenities in the room is good! There is of course an aircon/heater, bath tub, 3-in-1 shampoo, body wash & facial wash (i thinkkk so haha). My skin did not dry up maybe due to their soap despite the cold weather? =)) Their double room is a little small but probably due to my sister and I being very broad and tall hahaha. Anddd we opened like 2 large luggage in the room (31 inches + 28 inches luggage). Bed was comfy and wide though! Comfortable stay! Will definitely stay here again (when my budget allows me too HAHA) when I visit Tokyo in the future! =D Oh and yes, there is a direct train from Narita Airport, and Shibuya, Shinjuku, Ikebukuro is all about 30 mins away on train. To me still alright as there is a lot of shopping we can do at the Sky Tree Solamachi too haha~ Thank you for the pleasant experience! =)
We stayed for 7 nights and were very pleased with our stay. The location of the hotel is very good, as it is right across Tokyo Skytree, Tokyo Solamachi, Oshiage Station and a few minutes' walk away from the Tokyo Skytree bus station. There is also a supermarket beside the hotel, hence it is very convenient as you can just pop over there in case you need anything. The surroundings is also very clean and not too busy. There's a great selection of restaurants at Tokyo Solamachi and some other restaurants within short walking distance, including a Pepper Lunch with very nice and friendly staff. The room itself is great, with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom has a bathtub and they provide good toiletries. My only issue with the room is that it hardly has any closet space, so we had to keep most of our clothes in our luggage as we can only take some of it out at any given time.
Good location, easy access”
The hotel is just next to Oshiage station with direct train to airport. There is a lift access to street level that is useful to those with big luggages. Solamachi shopping is just next to sky tree and across the road from the hotel. The area has lots of restaurants (level 6 & 7) and an alley called Tokyo street with lots of duty free Japanese gift and souvenirs (though I would say that you can get the same from airport duty free and no need to reclaim tax). It is definitely a choice hotel if you want to explore Asakusa.
Great hotel (+ some useful info helping your choice) ”
Location: very convenient, just a few steps to the subway station, next to Tokyo Skytree. There's a supermarket right next to the hotel and a great shopping center with restaurants, café, matcha and souvenir shops etc at the Skytree. Oshiage is not a JR station, so you need subway ticket (which is anyway much better than JRP if you want to explore Tokyo) Service: The smartphone that the hotel provides is the best service in Tokyo, as you can bring with yourself and enjoy free wifi during your day, so you don't need to buy pocket wifi. Room: very clean, quiet with all necessary convenient amenities. My only unpleasant experience was the food smells when I opened the window in the mornings, probably caused by fans on the side where our room was located.
Hotel is right beside Tokyo SkyTree (Oshiage station), less than 5 mins walk. From 1st floor to 4th floor is a supermarket situated in the same building. Lobby is situated on 5th floor, proceed on with the check in and will be greeted with the friendly staff, giving a door gift which includes a sachet of bath powder, cotton pads and some facial toner, lotion etc. Hotel room is separated into two section, one is the entrance and toilet area and two is bedroom area. Entrance area has indoor slippers, ironing board, humidifier, etc. Toilet area has 2 basins, towels and pyjamas gowns are stored under the basins. There are 2 doors, one leading to toilet bowl only and another leading to shower room. Shower room has a unique design of sento (Japanese public bath). The hotel provides a All-in-one bathing product, facial care, hair care, body care. Even conditioning of hair is not needed. Other amenities like toothbrush, hairbrush and mouthwash, etc. Bedroom area is spacious, inside the cupboard, complimentary water, kettle, mini fridge. There is also an sofa area and table to work on. A portable mirror to use. For people who uses laptop, power plug can be found on the wall. There will be 1 power plug on each bedside. It is a very comfortable and convenient stay here, staff are very polite an helpful. My room had a spoilt kettle, the staff kindly changed to a new kettle. Very quick in response to help. Thank you. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here in this hotel.
Very Good Modern Hotel”
Hotel is next to Skytree tower, and right next to the train station (Oshiage). It’s very easy to get to Narita airport, about 55 mins using Narita sky access which leaves evey 40 mins. However, if you want to spend more time in Tokyo, it may not be as convenient ( take a little more time to commute). I’d recommend first and/or last night here. Since, it’s already next to the train sttaion, it may be OK. I had Japan Rail Pass, the JR trains didn’t come here. Hotel is very clean, moderate size room with free wifi and free smart phone that you can carry it with you. You can use internet, and can make free long distance call from this phone. Unfortunately, I stayed only 1 night and didn’t have a chance to try it to see how well it works. Air handling system (air conditioning and heating) seems to work very well, better than any hotels that I stayed in Japan. Staff are helpful and can speak English well. I’d strongly recommend it, esp if the price is less than $105/ night.
Brilliant location and tentative staff”
Conveniently located just a zebra crossing away from Tokyo Skytree, this hotel was absolutely perfect in terms of location. This meant that there was no obstacle when it came to finding a restaurant for dinner, a nice café for afternoon tea, souvenirs for yourself and loved ones – not to mention a trip to the 350m – 450m levels of Skytree, where the view was absolutely breathtaking (especially on clear days with plentiful sunshine). The hotel itself is also easy to reach. From Haneda airport, you can take Bus 4, which would bring you to Skytree. The bus will stop at the bus station near the shopping mall, which is a five min walk from the hotel. The check-in ran very smoothly. A fridge and microwave are located on our floor – as is the vending machine. From our room, we can just about see a corner of Skytree. There are water bottles provided in the room daily shaped like the Skytree tower, which was quite a delightful detail. The rooms in the hotel have excellent sound-blocking systems, and there are separate rooms for the toilet and shower/bath. A local smartphone is provided in each room – which really helped us in communication, local firsthand experiences, as well as significantly improving our efficiency in terms of navigating around Tokyo. For instance, when we decided to use the Tokyo subway, the phone help us plan our trips in the subway, from estimating subway journeys to guiding us when transferring stations. This hotel is connected to the ‘Life’ superstore, which is filled with plentiful good food and even kitchen equipment, as well as other pharmacy equipment and beauty products from great quality but reasonably priced local Japanese brands. Throughout our stay, the staff were all very polite and helpful, going above and beyond in their service. On the second day of our stay, we asked the young lady at the customer service counter to help book a spot in a restaurant near the Tokyo National Museum. When she communicated with the restaur
