Briefly here for a layover”
Nice, clean place. The staff were kind and they spoke English well. The breakfast was definitely catered towards the Asian crowd. There were a couple of Western options though.
Great location. Across from Daan Park and close to Din Tai Fung and Yongkang Street. Also, close to MRT entrance. I had the “brilliant view” room with a view of Daan Park. Bathroom had large jetted tub and separate shower with other bath amenities in case you forget your toothbrush or razor. Room had nice décor. With the mirrored ceiling, it makes for a romantic place for couples.
Hotel was in an excellent location, just 2 minutes from the subway where it was easy to get trains to all the major sightseeing spots. Hotel had an European feel about it which was reflected by the furniture and paintings on the wall. Staff were extremely helpful. Perhaps one negative was that the breakfast focussed more on Asian tastes, rather than on Western tastes. Afternoon drinks and snacks were free in the afternoon. I would recommend this hotel for its location and valley for money. Ask for a room overlooking Daan Park, the view is amazing.
great location, good breakfast”
We've stayed here before and has become our favorite hotel. Easy access to public transport and a quiet neighborhood, right in front of Daan Forest Park. Go to breakfast early though, because they don't refill dishes if they run out.
Good location and service”
This is our second stay here. We like the location (right across the Daan Park and beside the MRT and bus stations). Service is great. Breakfast buffet is good, but you need to come in early as they do not refill food. They have enough english TV channels (HBO, AXN, and 2 more) to keep you entertained at night.
Nice hotel with good location ”
Took the larger room with separate foyer, big bathroom and seating area. Small windows as its not facing Daan Park. Comfy room enough for 3.breakfast is not too bad, with vegetarian options. Would stay here again.
It's a very nice business hotel in the city.”
A nice suprise of a decent room with impressive view of the park and a well equipped bath room. The toiletries are even better than some local 4-star hotel. The district the hotel is located is quite but many famous local restaurants nearby, within a walk of 5 -10 minutes. The breakfast is reasonable but definitely a lot better than other local 3-star hotel. The only draw back is that the price is a bit high if it's not in promotion price, based on its claim of its positioning between 3-star to 4-star hotel. Overall speaking, the stay is very present especailly you can enjoy a bath in the jacuzzi, fairly new, after a busy working day.
Nice large room with great spa.”
Quickest check in in the business. No fuss or any problems. The staff were friendly and spoke good English which always helps. The breakfast was probably one of the better ones I had during my stay in Taiwan.
Good location, great staff, big room.”
We chose Rido Hotel for its location as it was near Daan Station as well as for other good reviews. We love our stay at the hotel - my mother, sister and I. The room was quite big. There was an entranceway between the doors going to the bedroom and bathroom so we put some of our bags there. The room we got had a European design similar to the rooms we stayed in in Venice. The bathroom was also very spacious. Upon checking in, we were asked to choose our breakfast since it was going to be served inside the room. It was okay. Standard food. Staff were great. They were able to answer all our inquiries. We also booked our taxi going back to the airport at the hotel. It was cheaper than the taxi trip during our arrival. We paid 1200 Taiwanese dollars during our arrival and 1100 during our departure. Overall, highly recommended.
Interesting hotel in kinda barocco style”
THis hotel is located very conveniently. the room is nicely decorated, the bath is spacious and laxurious. the breakfast is in the room, but the food is ok. good balance between location, quality and price.
Very difficult to find, as the hotel name is not posted as The Rido outside. We found it based on the address alone. The front desk was friendly, and when we asked for the sheets to be changed (the first set were not clean) they sent someone straight away. It seemed to be an oversight, as the rest of the room was very clean. The room and bathroom are very large. They order out for breakfast; be sure to tell a time every day. It is about a 15 minute walk from the closest MRT station.
Rido Hotel - Taipei, Taiwan”
The hotel is located in an upscale district facing Daan Park. The lobby is small but clean. Check-in was also quick. There were 2 elevators. The room given to us was clean and presentable. There was free internet access in the room. There were 2 cans of softdrinks (free of charge), fresh fruits and cookies. At night, during turn-down service, they would place 1 KitKat in the bed. The bed was soft but we noticed dust mites. It was irritating at first but eventually, we still had a good sleep. The breakfast was served in-room as they don't have a restaurant at the lobby. From the time you call to order, it will be delivered within 15 minutes. The food is good and hot. The location of the hotel is good. It was near a bus stop. There were plenty of taxis also. The best part is it just walking distance to my favorite restaurant "Din Tai Fung" which serves the best "Siao Lung Pao". There were also shopping nearby.
Nice stay in Taipei”
Nice and excellent hotel for the price you pay. Excellent service from the hotel staffs. Free and very fast internet connection via ethernet. Welcome fruits in the room given to guests. Will definitely choose that hotel when I come again to Taipei. Thanks.
Friendly service staff”
We checked in with my 4mth baby, they upgraded my room to twin room to have a bigger bed, and upon request, sent in baby tub and stool for my little one to bath. I was so grateful for their thoughtfulness and politeness that stands and greet everytime we pass by. Will definitely be back and would recommend to those travelling with baby.
Good location, just a few meters away from the subway & bus stop. For the price, it was well worth it. There was a light breakfast spread, snacks in the afternoon. We were able to rent a mobile wifi from them that was very affordable. That was where our problem came from. When we returned the wifi device, the staff was saying he gave us the wrong change and that we owed them more. My husband paid for what was asked for and didn't short change the person. Very disappointing way to end our stay there.
Very Nice Hotel, Reasonably Priced!”
This hotel is located in a very convenient location about 30 m away from the MRT station. . In spite of facing a busy street, there is very little noise transmitted. The hotel staff is super friendly. The breakfast is also excellent with great choices. Extra bonus goes to the very large green park just across the street.
VERY nice stay at Rido hotel ! ”
We stayed at the King room with Park view during 2nights. Friendly staff, very helpful and keeping the smile (even when we arrived very early from the airport -3am the first day, a kind and nice receptionist was there to welcome). Convenient location, 2min walk from mtr, 7/11 next to the hotel door. Nothing negative to say except maybe the breakfast that can be improved (only eggs and toast for "western taste"). We recommend a lot this hotel !
Good Location and great value for money”
This hotel is the best place to stay while in Taiwan it is very near in the train station, Subway and 7eleven. The hotel is nice and clean, staff are very accommodating and the food during breakfast is great and there is a complimentary fruits given to us. We still would love to stay in this hotel on our next trip to Taiwan.
Near my work office and nothing else”
It is indeed a nice hotel if rooms are facing the park but then the cost for the view may not be justifiable given that we are out the whole day. Near subway which is a plus but taxis are cheap and plenty if traveling in a group hence, location wise is a bit off. Near YongKang Street but there are really nicer niches and street to roam elsewhere in Taipei. Strongly believe there are better options with the cost of rooms stated.
Attending a Conference at the NTNUniversity”
The staff on Reception, in the Breakfast room, and the Housekeeping/Chambermaids ... were all excellent. It did seem, though, that the facilities were very limited ... no bar, no lounge, only a very small, one machine, IT / computer room ... but ... massive spaces for garage/cars. Clive
