The hotel is highly praised for its excellent and friendly staff, who went above and beyond for guests. The clean and spacious rooms with big comfortable beds and 2 sinks and a vanity in each room make for a comfortable stay. The great value for the price is also appreciated by many guests who had a wonderful stay.
Though a few guests commented on outdated facilities and average customer service, direct communication was smooth and special occasions were not overlooked.

This hotel sums it all. Very near The Las Vegas Strip, HUGE and SPACIOUS rooms. It is like a grand suit. Very clean. The rooms are renovated. Free self parking available. Easy access from Freeway. Easy access to Las Vegas Strip (25-20 mins walk). Huge reception area with plenty of restaurants and Starbucks. Even after renovation, they have maintained Rio De Janerio feel. At night there is additional security check before you enter elevators (which is good from safety PoV). This hotel is super value for money. Having stayed at Mandalay Bay, Park MGM and Harrah's this hotel is my new all time favuorite. I totally recommend this one.
I stayed at Rio Hotel & Casino on May 1, 2025, in a 1 King Bed Strip View suite. The room was impressively spacious, clean, and offered a beautiful view of the Strip. Check-in was quick, and the staff were friendly. The suite felt recently renovated and very comfortable. However, there was no coffee maker or complimentary water, which was a downside. The hotel is slightly off the Strip, so a short Uber is needed to get around, but free parking was a plus. Overall, a great value stay for the price—quiet, comfortable, and perfect for a short Vegas visit.
My wife and I , enjoyed our stay at the Rio Hotel . The newly remodeled room was Awsome! Very large suite and very quiet . We had a view of the bueatiful mountains every morning! I loved waking up every morning and seeing the beautiful mountains and enjoying a cup of coffee. You can’t beat the value and the location is pretty good. You’re a few minutes from the strip .The show WOW was WOW !!! Definitely check the Rio out before booking anywhere else . The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff is friendly and the food selection is pretty good ! Doug and Lizel
We had a good overall stay at Rio Hotel and Casino. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the location was convenient for exploring Las Vegas. The staff were courteous and check-in was smooth. The only downside was the bathroom drain — it took a very long time for the water to drain. Since we got back to the hotel quite late, we didn’t have the energy to report it. Aside from that, everything else was great, and we still enjoyed our stay. Would stay again if the bathroom issue is fixed.

Great Value Stay with Strip Views and Spacious Comfort I stayed at Rio Hotel & Casino for one night on May 1, 2025, in a 1 King Bed Strip View suite. Overall, my experience was positive and exceeded expectations, especially for the price. Check-in was smooth and quick. The staff at the front desk were friendly and efficient, which made a great first impression. Although the hotel still shows signs of its older style in common areas, my room was a pleasant surprise. The suite was very spacious—larger than typical Vegas hotel rooms. It had a separate seating area, a comfortable king bed, and large windows offering an excellent view of the Strip. Watching the city light up at night from the room was a real highlight. The room appeared to have been recently renovated, with clean carpets, modern furniture, and an updated bathroom layout that made the space feel fresh and functional. A few things could have been better. There was no in-room coffee maker or complimentary bottled water, which I would expect in most hotels. Also, while I didn’t need housekeeping during my short stay, it seems to be an area where other guests have had mixed experiences. The hotel is located off the Strip, so while it’s quieter, you’ll need a short Uber or taxi ride to get to the heart of the action. That said, the free parking and spacious suite made it worth the minor inconvenience. Overall, my stay at the Rio was comfortable, quiet, and great value for money.
