Amazing Stay!!”
My mom and I spent a total of 4 nights at this hotel and we had the most incredible stay! The accommodations were great, the staff were the kindest, the breakfast was delicious, the location was prime, and the hotel manager was such a gem! He made sure our stay in Rio De Janeiro was a memorable one. He went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and was truly one of a kind. I have never met a hotel manager who played such a visibly active role. It was a true joy to see him everyday and be greeted with his warm energy. In all honesty, we started to feel apart of this hotel family. We will 100% return and encourage our friends, family and anyone who reads this review to do the same! 5 stars!!! Thank you Rio Design for an incredible vacation. We are so grateful!

Excellent location, friendly staff and good breakfast ”
I had a lovely stay at Rio Design Hotel, it’s perfectly located 2 minutes from the beach and not far from Ipanema where the action is. The staff went above and beyond to be accommodating, upgrading me to much a nicer, modern room when it was available. Con: The younger manager with the glasses is creepy and inappropriate. I won’t go into details but solo female travellers beware. The bus boys and managers were all very helpful, spoke English fluently and we’re professional :) I’d stay here again.

Very nice location”
The hotel is located next to a police office, u have to walk less then 1 minute to go to the beach. The staff were friendly and they speak english, they can help you with whatever u need. But the only thing i didn't like that all the rooms are close, so you can hear when they open the doors and when they close it, on top we could hear the steps like they are walking inside the room. The breakfast was ok, but not many choices.

Friendly hotel near Copacabana/Ipanema”
We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights over New Year. The value for money rating is given as "satisfactory", only because we paid way over the normal price, because it was New Year. The hotel is located next to Copacabana beach, but a short stroll to Ipanema or the Lake. The staff were the highlight of this hotel for us. They were very friendly and extremely helpful. Even running to change money for us when we ran into a situation. There was a small gym upstairs and a rooftop pool with seating for about 10 people. We didn't use any of them so couldn't rate, but the pool was certainly very busy when I looked. Breakfast was good.

Old hotel in prime location ”
Big room w/ AC and a nice shower, although the bed was not very comfortable. Wi Fi was not working and the TV had just a few channels available. The rooftop pool is cool, but does not face the sea. There's a small gym available as well, but the only machine there was broken. Breakfast is ok. The location is great, just a short walk away from Copacabana and Ipanema beaches.

The hotel is very old and without maintenance. You will find several broken things in the room. The internet does not work well and it veeeeery slow. the location is great, but there are better hotels for the same price in the area.

Tiene la perfecta relacion calidad precio. Lo unico que me cobraron todas las mañanas el agua para el mate. Ademas llegamos a las 12, ya tenian la habitacion pronta y me cobraron 100 reales por ingresar antes. En otros hoteles me han permitido entrar antes sin costo.

La chambre est bien, mais pas insonorisée comme marqué sur le site. Au 13 étage on entends le bruit de la circulation, réveillés avant 5H du matin. Aucun personnel de la réception ne parle Français comme dans un 4* Dommage l'hôtel est bien situé à 100m de la plage. La vue sur l'océan est partielle et très minime

Je recommande cet hôtel pour son emplacement à 1 mn de la plage de copacabana et de tous les transports, bus 483 pour l'aéroport Dumont Santos. Beaucoup de supermarchés et restaurants autour de l’hôtel. Bon petit déjeuner buffet avec du choix.

Hôtel à l’emplacement idéal (sur Copacabana) avec un roof top/piscine propre et agréable, cependant pas ouvert en fin de journée quand on y a été, chambre sale à l’arrivée (toilettes non propre, douche non propre, serviettes tachées) On voit que l’hôtel a vieilli : il est abîmé Personnel sympathique et à l’écoute
