The most helpful staff imaginable”
My friend and I arrived at the Rio at 4 a.m. We were greeted by a very helpful staff. This was my first stay in Thailand and didn't know what to expect. I was very impressed that morning and all through my stay. The staff saw to our every need - from hot water through extra toilet paper. The breakfast every morning was a treat. We also ate at the restaurant a couple of evenings and were treated royally. I would stay at the Rio again if in Thailand.

A compact hotel with rooms spacious enough for two travelers to share without tripping all over each other. Refrigerator. TV with some English-language channels; free wi-fi. Hair dryer and outlet converters available from housekeeping. If there is a weakness, it is in the English capability of the staff, who are patient and helpful. The breakfast buffet is plentiful, with something for everyone, including vegetarians.

Quick visit to see family and friends”
This hotel was great for me as it is located near to my family and friends. However it is not in a great location for tourists. It is not near public transport or sight seeing spots. The rooms are big and the breakfast is really good (mostly Asian breakfast). But the fitness room is very disappointing. It is nowhere near as equipped as it is on the photo on Agoda. Staff friendly and efficient. Nice hotel.

A good location with decent sized rooms”
the hotel was really great, good sized rooms, clean.. most staff smiling and very good to talk with.. I was completely satisfied with my stay there.. but unfortunately as I was leaving was where they ruined it for me and my girlfriend.. as we took our bags down to the taxi to leave.. we realized we accidently left a wax hand sculpture we had bought from a wax museum in Bangkok.. so I returned up to the room only to discover it had been ripped open at the top with all the fingers beside it still in the box.. the wax sculpture was ruined!!! cant go back and get a new one, as we were leaving that morning.. was about 1000 baht so not that expensive.. but it was only a one of a kind thing.. :( me and my girlfriend loved the idea and look of it, we were both not happy

Need more lights”
The room was clean but was so dark and had only a few lamps in the room which made it a little difficult to see or find anything once it became night. The location was good, 2-3 minutes walking distance from 7/11 and top supermarket. Breakfast was so and so, mostly thai food which i didnt mind. Staffs were really friendly and helpful.

Quick stay for visiting family”
The rooms are a good size, very spacious with good amenities included. Breakfast is really big considering the size of the hotel. picture of the gym is definitely not true though. There is only a treadmill and a cross trainer and 3 or 4 weights. Nothing like the photo.

experience in rio”
good. we were in room and had a challenge with the wifi. we had the connection for 5 minutes and then it goes off. this was happening in cycles.on and off.

This old hotel not far from center of Bangkok, easy to find taxi to Patpong, Asiatique, Central World, Have some parking only 10-15 cars, have a little buffet breakfast. The room very old but big, good for family. Have small fitness.

The room is not so modern but big and comfy. Bathroom is fine, nice warm water. Sufficient parking space. Restaurants and mini-mart in walking distance. Breakfast is acceptable, 5-6 menu of Thai food, toast and jam, small salad corner, juice, tea, coffee (no milk).

Brief and comfortable”
I was in transit and just wanted somewhere convenient to sleep for about 6 hours. It was well suited to that purpose and not expensive. It is an old hotel which could well do with a facelift at some stage, but then the cost will double! So in the meantime its location makes it a convenient place for me to stay economically.
