Great boutique hotel! ”
Riva Arun is right at the River with great views! The rooms are modern and clean. The staff at the Riva Arun are amazing and very helpful! The location of the hotel is just a few minutes to the metro station. As a female solo traveler I felt safe and I will definitely stay here again next year when I will visit Bangkok! I’d like to say a special thank you to Mind and Toby at reception, who have help d me a lot with transfers as well arranging a late check out for me! I strongly recommend this place, which is just a few minutes from the palace and the reclining Buddha.

Perfect Location in a Beautiful Boutique Hotel”
Riva Arun is perfectly situated on the river giving you easy access to Old Town Temples and high-quality restaurants. Accommodations were quiet and the beds were very comfortable. The rooms were very clean and decorated with fresh flowers and a fruit bowl was provided upon our arrival. The staff was kind, gracious, and absolutely wonderful. We will return and stay here again!

Lovely boutique hotel; excellent location; lots of interesting cafes, street food, restaurants, shops, just outside the hotel doors; easy walk to the grand palace. The rooms have a small footprint but good design and unique use of space and mirrors to create a larger feeling space.

Superb Location, Clean, Lovely Staff - Small Rooms ”
Riva Arun is superbly located. My friends and I only stayed for one night before our flight home, but in comparison to the Bangkok hotel we stayed at when we initially arrived (which was located in the EM district) the proximity of Riva Arun to many of the main attractions in Bangkok significantly decreased the amount of Bangkok traffic we had to sit in. Furthermore, Riva Arun has a wonderful rooftop bar with incredible views of Wat Arun. The staff were lovely and greeted us with drinks when we arrived and were incredibly accommodating with holding our luggage until our flight in the early evening. The rooms were quite small but very clean and with great views of Wat Arun. If location is one of your top priorities when visiting Bangkok, I would definitely consider staying here!

Beware of taxi scams ”
Hotel was perfect in every aspect. The only issue I had was the hotel called for a taxi and when taxi arrived he asked me in English please show me destination on googles maps. I had 3 Thais with me in the taxi and the taxi Wouldn’t listen to the Thais just me and my thai is very limited . When my friend told the taxi destination is only one mile away and cost to that destination is 50 baht, which is around 1.75 the driver was very rude and started driving erratically.. my thai friend yelled stop I can take another taxi if your not happy . The driver then cooled down and drove us to the destination. The scam was suppose to be like this driver asked guest to show gps location and taxi would drive you in circle to get 250.00 baht fares that’s only should be 50 baht . 250.00 isn’t much but that’s not the point here . Just wish the driver was honest and played fair.

Beautiful location in Bangkok”
The hotel is well located. Close to many attractions in bangkok and to the metro station. Helpful staff and really warm welcome. The room was very clean and comfortable. They even gave us a really sweet handwritten card from Christmas. Highly recommended.

Professional and friendly staff”
Great hotel and the staff are very friendly and helpful. My stay at the hotel was fantastic and the service of the front of house staff was great. Rooftop restaurant has a great view and food was good. A bit expensive but I guess you pay for the view. I’ve enjoyed some prawns, which were nice, but you have to use your fingers and there was no finger bowl offered to clean hands. I was told to go to the bathroom. In most restaurants when serving shell food e.g. prawns as a whole, provide either a finger bowl with water or a hot towel to clean hands. Something Riva Management should consider. Looking forward to stay again at the Riva Arun.

Great location for the historic sites. Staff amazing in every way. From the room cleaners to the reception staff they were all faultless. Only criticism would be the food at the restaurant.Breakfast pancakes/croissants were stale and the evening meals/drinks over priced. Had excellent evening food at a small restaurant on the street corner for a fraction of the hotel cost but this is the only criticism of the hotel.

Beautiful and great location!”
Fantastic location for visiting Wat Pho. Close to the pier to visit Wat Arun. Room was about studio size, but very well designed and very clean. Breakfast is out of this world! Would come back for the breakfast alone! Also located next to a massage shop, which was very convenient after a long day of walking and visiting temples.

Relaxing Accommodation, Warm and Friendly 5star+ Staff”
Location is good especially if you’re into walking distance in temple tours. Close to pier for boat services. Front desk staff especially Tao and Toni goes above and beyond on assisting us. Food was amazing during dinner and money well spent. The view at their rooftop resto had an amazing view of Wat Arun and the Reclining Buddha Temple..lovely ambience good for romantic dinner.

Amazing view! Cool riverside restaurants within a stones throw. Walk to palace, temples, museums, night flower market, and more. Very quiet at night after restaurants close. Close to subway. The one negative is the pricing for laundry— outrageous would be the most appropriate word

Beautiful Hotel with Amazing Staff”
We stayed here for several nights and used several of the rooms here. We arrived early in the morning so just wanted to have a place to rest so opted for the lowest priced room. Even this room was very well appointed and I wouldn't hesitate to stay in a pinch. But unfortunately you don't stay at this hotel unless you book a room with a view of the river. So the next few nights we stayed in the Grand Deluxe Jacuzzi room. It has a fantastic view of the river and Wat Arun. The room is quite large with an equally large balcony. We finally stayed in the King jacuzzi suite. The layout of this room is interesting. It's longer than the Deluxe room and has separate rooms for the shower and bedroom. Most importantly it has a wrap around balcony so you can also see Wat Pho from a distance. The hotel is fairly close to the Sanam Chai MRT station and also the flower market. There is also an amazing massage place right next to the hotel. Went there everyday of our stay. What really stands our about this hotel is the staff. Just a wonderful group of young people. I can't say enough nice things about them. We're already planning our return back!

Beautiful!”
Extremely romantic! Our suite had a beautiful and private outdoor terrace, with a jacuzzi, and a stunning view of Wat Arun. At night the temple is lit up and it’s absolutely beautiful especially from the rooftop bar and restaurant! The room was a good size with a large bathroom and a nice living area. I would definitely recommend for couples who are looking to have a nice romantic weekend get away without having to leave bangkok.

Great 2 night stay, welcome drink & towel, deluxe riverview room, clean room with balcony but not large enough for chairs, rooftop breakfast dining, coffee/tea, clever stainless shower/toilet sliding door, bathroom very clean, large screen TV but never watched, WiFi good speed, no bench for luggage, raining on checkout staff brought taxi from main road and put bags in taxi, good girl!!xx. Plus she gave a thankyou hand written postcard xx Nearest MRT is Sanam Chai 10 min walk to/from hotel. Will be back again soon. 5/5

Amazing location and views!”
We had a really great time at Riva Arun. We stayed in the Deluxe Room facing Wat Arun and had the most gorgeous view. The rooftop bar and restaurant are great, except at dusk when tons of bugs show up. The staff was very hospitable! It was a very easy pick up from the airport. The staff was able to arrange a floating market tour for us with very short notice, and that was wonderful as well. Every time we left the hotel, they inquired where we were going and asked if we needed any help. I wish I remembered the name of the staff, but one member would tell us how much we should be paying for a tuk-tuk so that we wouldn't get taken advantage of. It's very close to lots of temples and great restaurants. We would love to stay here again if we could! READ UP ON TUK TUK SCAMS IF YOU ARE VISITING THAILAND, ESPECIALLY BANGKOK. We were able to dodge quite a few because we had done research, but we sadly ran into many other travelers who had been scammed. Please do yourself a favor and research!

Nice hotel with the view of Wat Arun!”
We chose the river view room and the combination of the river and the Wat Arun is stunning at night! There are a lot of restaurants nearby and they are all good. The room is cozy and clean. Although there has no gym room nor swimming pool in the hotel, it’s good enough! And the staffs are really really helpful! We got some trouble getting to the airport and the staff there really tried hard to help us to handle it. Thank you so much.!! Really nice price to stay here with this good view.
