    Located along the banks of the Mighty Murray River, Rivergum Holiday Retreat offers an outdoor pool, 2 boat ramps and free parking on site. Originally Built in the 1800's as a Lindemans winery, Rivergum Holiday Park was born in the mid 1980's. Air-conditioned guest cabins feature a full kitchen with a microwave, a fridge, and tea/coffee making facilities. Each has a private deck and a dining area. The en-suite bathroom comes with shower and a hairdryer. The property has a tennis court and a 1.2 km outdoor fitness trial along Murray. Two guest laundry rooms are available. There is also a lounge area and a communal dining area located within the walls of the parks original cellar built in 1870's. Retreat Rivergum Holiday is 1.6 km from the Corowa Chocolate Factory, and 2 km from the Corowa Federation Museum. It is 6.8 km from Corowa Golf Club, and 12.5 km from the Rutherglen Wine Region. Melbourne International Airport is a 3.5-hour drive away.

    the property was very neat & tidy with obvious permanents. common areas were very tidy with The electric bbq was well maintained & pool very clean. have to say the cabin itself was in great condition and had a great balcony. the kitchen facilities were clean & tidy if not a bit sparse.
    the bed was quite hard and we ended up sleeping on the Duma to soften the mattress, everything else was outstanding

    The location was lovely and quite, staff were polite and helpful.
    The cleanliness left alot to be desired. There was a dead spider left squashed on the bathroom roof, food on the tv remote, stains and crap all over the carpets, mold in the bathroom and plenty of bugs and spiders. We spent the first half hour there spraying things and wiping stuff down. Having a huge huntsman sneak out and dealing with that at 1am was also not great, spider bombing would be a good idea especially in that sort of location. Wish I took photos of everything.

    Manager tried but unable to control other guests....not good.”

    The room was sizeable with separate bedroom.
    The room had been neglected for a long time. the carpet had multiple stains. The room was dusty on arrival and it appeared not to be well cleaned. People were walking across our private balcony and accessing the pool via our carpark. The Manager understood our situation and applied stop signs to deter people walking through our designated area. The Manager also advised other guests not to access the pool via the carpark. We had to put a table across our entrance to stop people cutting across. Our car was scratched due to the tight space and bikes passing through. We were staying for 4 nights but ended up staying for 2 due to the bad experience. There was no one at reception when we checked out. We thought after speaking to the staff that we would be only charged 2 nights but were charged the full 4 nights.

    Convenient to all facilities, wineries, places of interest, friendly helpful staff but our facility”

    Breakfast was self catering and, the staff we connected with were very pleasant. Position in relation to the town excellent. Very quiet and the grounds very clean and tidy. The cabin’s interior was clean as was the bedding and towels. Heating very efficient.
    Windows in the main bedroom, in the lounge area could not be locked at all. Fly wire door also not able to lock, holes in one fly screen. The slider door for privacy in the bunk room actually jammed and it was with great difficulty that you could reopen it - surely a potential fire hazard. The overhead cupboards very clean as was the entire kitchen area with good appliances, stove, fridge and microwave. The cupboards were so high on the wall they were extremely difficult even for an average height person to reach. ( lucky us as we had one quite tall person to do all the reaching! ) The window drapes were in a very poor condition and the drape to cover the wide sliding window/door had clips out of the tracking missing and again ‘the tall person’ has to manoeuvre them across and hook them up for privacy at night. Mattress in the lower bunk that was used was very hard and uncomfortable, mattress in the main bedroom was fine.
