A luxury hotel in the village of Ashford-in-the-Water in the Peak District, Riverside House was built in varying stages between 1620 and 1760 and features an award-wining, fine dining restaurant and bar, and free WiFi.
The bedrooms are decorated with hand-made soft furnishings and some have antique features such as beams and four poster beds. Most of the rooms afford views over the River Wye and the gardens and all of them come with fresh tea/coffee, sherry, nuts, bottled water and bathrobes.
The resident chef creates gastronomic menus using exciting, local and fresh ingredients. At Riverside House Hotel, dinner is complemented by fine wines from an extensive cellar, and served at antique tables illuminated by candle-light. Each morning an English or a continental breakfast is served.
Set in an acre of mature, tranquil grounds, aside the River Wye, with a conservatory to relax in and a floodlit croquet lawn, the hotel is just a 10-minute drive from Chatsworth Estate.
