Went to Aparri for a conference and riverview royale was one of the closest hotels to the conference venue. The room was clean and comfortable enough to stay in, though the place did not offer much amenities. Breakfast was not part of my room package, but they do serve morning meals. And ironically, you can't really view the Cagayan river from your room or from the top floor. It is, after all, better to go and see the 0 km marker of the CVR and see the point where the river meets the sea. But all in all, it was a well enough stay during my visit to Aparri.

If you want a not so clean very basic room with broken toilet no tea/coffee, no food available and lazy staff book here!! Oh has good quality TV. On checking into room found the bathroom mirror, basin dirty and many dirt marks on shower tiles - a little effort came off. Toilet seat was broken. They seemed offended when insisting they clean and fix. They did "clean" but rather than dry off they left every thing wet!! Was told sorry cannot fix toilet and only after strong objection was offered another room where needed to ask for bathroom to be cleaned again. Once they left I went to use the toilet and found floor like mini swimming pool. Had to demand they wipe floor dry. Next day for room makeup they asked whether they should just tidy or replace linen!! Are you a hotel or not!! All in all a very unpleasant experience so much that we checked out with a day to go and moved into another hotel. Now happy. I have travelled extensively in Europe, Asia and South Pacific and this is by far the worst value for money experience ever!! How anyone has rated this hotel highly is beyond comprehesion!!

located some distance from the beach and town. the resort has lost its way and is very rundown. it was probably popular once but lacks anything to entice tourists any more. disappointing. the hotel was clean and the staff helpful but no catering facilities or tea or coffee facilities in the room. the main stairs are difficult to manage if you are a little unsteady on your feet with no lift. not disable friendly. the smoking area is outside the front door in the car park. 24hr security. I would not stay there again prefering an hotel with better facilities. no room deposit was taken or asked for and check-in was easy. aircon was provided but we did not use it. and a TV in the room. no phone or other facilities. it was clean and tidy but we had to ask for towels twice.
