This is my fourth stay this time. Due to work reasons, I will be staying long-term in Malate, so I can no longer use the Diamond Hotel or New Coast Hotel due to rising hotel prices and the depreciation of the yen. However, Riviera Mansion is also convenient to use, and I have no particular complaints during my stay. A metered taxi from the airport would be enough with around 500 pesos, but I think Grab is safer and slightly cheaper if available. The hotel also offers a shuttle service, which I believe costs about 700 pesos. It takes about 15-20 minutes from the airport using the highway without traffic. Checking in takes about 5 minutes by presenting your passport and reservation ID and signing. I was alone, but they gave me two room keys. If you have paid in advance, no deposit is required. Since the hotel has a high rate of Japanese guests, there are people at the front desk and bellboys who can speak basic Japanese. I booked a Premier Double room. There are no complimentary mineral water or slippers. The room is bright and nice, but the view may depend on the specific room. The room includes a bed, TV, desk, a small table, a single sofa, air conditioning, a two-door refrigerator with a freezer and fridge, a balcony, a hairdryer, a kettle, a closet, and a safety box. The bathroom, shower, and washbasin are clean, with a large mirror. There is a manual type bidet. Two bath towels and two face towels are provided. The amenities include only soap, shampoo, body wash, and a toothbrush (probably). There are no razors, cotton swabs, bath additives, or basic cosmetics for women. In terms of amenities, Japanese business hotels are overwhelmingly better stocked. The shower is hose-style and easy to use. Hot water is available, but the water pressure is slightly weak, so it may take time to fill the bathtub for soaking. Room service is available 24 hours, with a good selection of Filipino dishes that are all delicious. There are a few items like tempura and ramen on the Japanese menu, but since I have never ordered them, I do not know the quality. The TV is a smart TV, so you can watch YouTube. However, since it does not automatically log out, it is safer to log out yourself when checking out. You can also watch Netflix and Amazon Prime, but you need an account in the Philippines (I think). Since this is a long stay of four weeks, Grab has been very useful. There are dining places nearby, including Japanese restaurants, and there is also a shopping mall called Robinson, but those shops close at midnight, and I get tired of room service, so I used Grab for delivery. Also, since there is no mineral water in the room, I have to buy it myself, but I ordered a large amount of drinking water from the supermarket through Grab. There is a 7-Eleven next to the hotel, so it's fine to buy a few bottles there. In the last week, my wife came from Japan, and when I spoke to the front desk about it, they did not charge me any additional fee, and we were able to stay without issues. I became acquainted with the doorman and cleaning staff, and when they called my name, my wife was surprised.
