“Review of the Rixos premium Hotel ”
We had an overall pleasant stay at this hotel, which has many strengths but also several areas that need improvement. Positive points: • The spa is excellent, very well equipped and enjoyable. • The location of the hotel is ideal, convenient for visiting and exploring the surroundings. • The staff is attentive, friendly, and helpful, which makes the stay pleasant. • The hotel is clean, well maintained, and offers good facilities overall. Negative points: • The wellness area would greatly benefit from the addition of a jacuzzi, which is missing for a hotel of this standard. • The “park view” room we booked actually turned out to be a parking lot view, which was disappointing. • Housekeeping staff starts making noise very early (from 8:30 a.m.), and despite using the “Do Not Disturb” sign (both on the door and digitally), they still entered the room twice. • Pool sunbed management is poorly handled: it is nearly impossible to find a free one, as towels are left on them all day without the 30-minute rule being enforced. We even had to share a sunbed for two. • The air conditioning in the room was extremely noisy, to the point where we had to turn it off at night in order to sleep. • Upon arrival, the receptionist told us that our reservation was for one person, although it was clearly a double room with a large bed. She assured us this was not a problem, but no mention was made of any additional charge. At check-out, however, we were billed an extra €280, even though only one breakfast was taken, and only 3 times during the 7-day stay. 👉 Moreover, I had clearly specified in my booking that we were a couple (with proof of exchanges, see photo), which was not taken into account. A commercial gesture would have been more than appropriate in this situation. In summary, the hotel offers some great features, but certain shortcomings and a lack of transparency in billing unfortunately tarnished the experience. With a few adjustments (respecting “Do Not Disturb,” better pool sunbed management, quieter air conditioning, and a fairer commercial policy), the stay could have been perfect.
