very nice hotel”
staff were all very friendly and helpful - rooms lovely. I think a few more pool lounges though as there were only three with some table and chairs and this is a big hotel. This stopped us from having a swim due to no spots vacant, other than that lovely hotel.

Superb and value for money”
Although check in was slower, but we managed to get a room next to each other and exactly as what I requested. Thank you. Concierge and front desk Mr Foo and Aqilah was very helpful and friendly. Also a housekeeping lady at our floor. Give them a 5 star service! Certainly would come back. Tanjong Pagar MRT doesn’t take that long to walk. Food places are nearby. And a mall just next to it. Supermarket opposite and in the mall. Very convenient location.

Excellent service from staffs at Amara. (1) I have reserved 2 rooms in separate booking. The staff made the effort to give me rooms that are connected. (2) My hotel billing invoice date and name were wrong, but the staff made the effort to ask their Finance team to come back on Saturday, in-order to help me to correct the billing before I check-out on Sunday

Booked this stay for a weekend getaway with my wife. Was assisted during check-in by staff name Siti. I would like to highlight Ms Siti's professionalism and friendliness during our check in procedure and we were lucky to have her complete our check-out procedure in similar manner. Overall the stay was amazing, very spacious room and the staff were extremely courteous. Room service was prompt and quality of food was commendable. Great stay, however its a relatively old build building as compared to others. breakfast is almost the same during the 4 day stay, luckily there is a noodle house just right across the street and the 100AM mall beside it

Amara didn't disappoint us, housekeeping team have done a good job. At least I need not do few rounds of cleaning on the coffee machine (which happened at other hotel) before used. Found the hair dryer bulky and considering too noisy to the ears when switched to the max power. The mini fridge cold our beer faster than our expectation, which is a plus point ! We would like to send our appreciation to Front Office Staff, Ms Siti. As our reservation for smoking floor was not listed during checking-in, she has initiated to have the room changed without holding us too long at the counter.

Ive probably stayed there 5 weeks in the last few months. Had to extend my latest stay by another 8 days and asked if I could get a late checkout due to a late flight. Basically refused and didn't offer anything in recognition of how much I've stayed there recently. the manager there is an idiot. Have moved to the Sofitel. Not much more and a thousand times better Hotel. i won't be back Amara. You blew it!

Loved staying here. Location great for us and nice spots to eat nearby. Close to metro station (walking distance) staff excellent, as were facilities (we didn't get a chance to use pool or gym unfortunately). Bed and pillows very comfy. Room spacious. Really appreciated the late check out. Wifi was adequate for what we needed. Awesome range of toiletries! Loved the robe, slippers, great quality hair dryer, coffee pod machine, iron and ironing board. Everything was really comfortable and easy, would definitely stay here again!! My only negative if I have to pick was the electric kettle didn't seem to work (although we forgot to inform reception so they didn't have the chance to rectify that for us.) And the towels were a little worn. Very little to complain about!

Nice room but some facilities lack of maintenance”
The room was clean, large, and great decorated. I really love how large the bed was. However, there were some facilities that were needed to be fix such as the refrigerator in the room I got was not working well (put things inside for long but not cold), and the mirror door of bath room could be opened at first but it was stuck later on. Anyway, when there was a problem and I informed the staffs, they processed to fix it immediately. In addition, they also suggested and helped when I needed help about how to travel there too. Therefore, for overall, staying here was nice and I would go back if had a chance again.

Excellent hotel in cozy area”
This hotel is awesome. Very clean, the surroundings area was cozy, full of food choices, easy to get around, 300 meter from MRT Tanjong Pagar, 1 KM to Lau Pa Sat Food Area, near fairprice supermarket, and the staffs were really friendly. I really recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a five star services hotel with good value price.

The hotel is connected to the mall next door, so that made everything so convenient. The pool was closed while I was there, so unable to comment. There is a lot of good food in the vicinity, you just have to be willing to walk! (: Happy with my stay, will not hesitate to go back! Staff were friendly and attentive!

Receiption ask me to pay deposit early after i register and pay deposit at 9am, they ask me come back take room key at 2pm. When i reach they totally havent prepare it. They giving me totally not what i want. The receiption name jackson service is too bad! Attitude too bad

Club Room with Club Benefits”
Club Room were on the higher floors however, surrounding areas were mostly HDB flats which doesn't provide much of a view. Hotel is within 10min walk from Tanjong Pagar MRT Station and situated right next to 100AM Mall (with Don Son Donki that opens till 12am). Food are easily accessible from the hawker centre/market opposite or Korean Restaurants down the road which operates till late! Otherwise there are supermarkets situated nearby for late night shopping. Room was great with really comfortable beds and club room came with bath tub and toiletries. Club room benefits offered lounge access for Breakfast (Wide array of food), High Tea (Comes in a set with free flow drinks from Club Soda to TWG Teas) and Dinner (which we missed unfortunately)! At $200+ per night, it was a steal with these benefits and we were granted late check-out and a slice of cake for this birthday staycation too! Staff were friendly and small welcome snacks were available at the lobby with luggage services as well! If I am not wrong, there is a club or pub situated at Level 1 too! Wouldn't mind coming back for another round at the club room with these awesome benefits! :)

I don't usually post reviews but the Amara deserves this one! Unintentionally booked this hotel in error (confused it with a different hotel) but was pleasantly surprised & happy that we did! It was great & better than expected! In a great location that appeared to be the business district, lots of cafes, bars in the surrounding hotels, convenience stores & super close to the MRT station. Also super close to Koreatown in the Chinatown district. We requested a high floor room & baby cot & were given a room on the 15th floor with an amazing view from the corridor of the hotel pool. From our room, we also overlooked a neighbouring rooftop hotel pool & tennis court - no bad views of boring windows of another hotel or carpark! The room didn't have a baby cot but within minutes of phoning reception, housekeeping staff delivered a real cot - a proper wooden one & not a typical plastic port-a-cot! Cannot fault the Amara & would definitely stay again.

Front desk was nice to give a room upgrade, sadly the room was a little worn for wear. It was also difficult to manage the room temp - too cold, had to switch the air conditioning off to keep it optimal. Everything else was great

Gym was closed during our stay”
Such pity that we didn’t get to use the gym because it was closed for renovation. But the hotel did ‘team up’ the fitness centre next door in 100am mall. But the hours was odd for travellers like us. 9-11am & 2-4:30pm. During this hour we were doing our Singapore local tour. Haha. Overall, good stay. Fantastic location & malls around it. Love the cafe behind the hotel, love the pan mee from across the road opposite hotel :) Japanese restaurant opposite hotel is so oily on the inside & tables, despite the food was okay. MRT tanjong Pagar is within walking distance, do check google map for it.
