Small room but great location”
The hotel is situated about 30mins from the airport and it would cost USD45 gor a cab ride to the hotel. Check in was fast and fuss free and they let us checked in early at 11am. The room is small though with two double beds and a showrr in the bathroom. There is a balcony but all rooms in the hotel are nonsmoking so you need to smoke downstairs at yhe designated area. There is a resort fee charged per day so you can get beach towels, floats, surfboards and mats to go down to the Waikiki beach just across the street. But limited quantities so you need to get them early. We didn't opt for breakfast but you can eat at Eggs N Things just beside the reception which you can get a discount if you stay at this hotel. We also got additional discount when we shopped at Macy's. There's an ABC store which opens till late if you want to buy snacks and drinks. Lovely sunset view from our ocean front room. Nice small quaint hotel.
Located in the heart of the city right behind the popular cafe eggs n things. Parking is a nightmare, it is one level and limited spaces available. Staff were lovely, the room was nice and the balcony was a nice place to sit and watch the view. Good for the price.
Great location and oceanfront view!”
Our ocean front room (803) was slightly off-centre facing down towards Diamond Head and we could see all the way down both ends of Waikiki beach. Though the hotel is not very tall we didn't think this impacted our view on level 8 but could effect lower levels. The location was perfect for going to the beach and surrounding restaurants/shops. We found the staff at both the reception and tour desk very friendly and after letting the front desk know our shower had clogged they sent someone up to fix it within half an hour to fix it. We had read reviews that the Air Conditioning was loud, however this really did not seem to be an issue. Renovations at the Aston Beachside next door were notified to guests in the lifts and even with a crane going one night, we couldn't hear anything from in the room. Though there is no pool or other up-market amenities this hotel is perfect if you are wanting oceanfront views right on the beach on a budget.
The hotel is across the road from the beach and next to restaurants, fabulous location. We were welcomed and allowed to go into our room even though we were early, that was good as we had flown from Perth, Australia and were very tired. The room was ok, with coffee and tea making facilities, and very nice toiletries. There was wifi but we paid extra for that, there was no other facilities that we were aware of, however we could access towels for the beach and there was a 10% discount at the restaurant in the lobby, EGGS AND THINGS. We would stay there again for the location.
Great value for money”
Although an older hotel it was in an amazing location (literally across the road from the beach) and was as clean as it can be for the age of the building. The housekeeping was amazing and the staff were so friendly - we arrived early in the morning and because our room was ready they were able to check us in early without a fuss...as a family with an infant and child this makes the biggest difference after a 10hour flight! The beds were comfy and we were given 2 double beds (booked a partial ocean view room). The hotel doesn't have an actual lobby but a kiosk at the front to checkin however this did not affect our experience in the slightest. Umbrellas, beach towels and beach mats are also provided. Eggs and things is downstairs just outside the kiosk but there was always a queue for breakfast so we ended up finding another breakfast joint just down the road. MacDonalds is also next door as well as ABC (which is also on every other corner). All in all a great stay at Aston circle waikiki and certainly the best value for money. Will definitely be looking to stay here again!
Awesome stay, helpful staff, clean room”
Had amazing stay. The hotel is along waikiki strip, room tidied daily and towels fresh and white. There is a Hawaiian show every other night, across the hotel. Staff very helpful in giving directions to famous attractions.
Great location with smaller rooms”
We started in one of the lower level rooms that hadn't yet been renovated. The room was small and cramped. When we arrived, we found a bed bug and were moved to a different room, that had been renovated. The newer room was much nicer and brighter and higher up in the building. The staff were very pleasant and helpful throughout the stay. The hotel is one of the smaller and older ones near the beach, however it was perfect for our needs, being relatively cheap and in a great location.
DO NOT USE AGODA”
Hotel was oversold and priority was given to those who booked through the hotel. I did not get what I paid for. AGODA sold me a room that was already taken.
Amazing location ”
The room was clean, much smaller than it looks on the pictures. Nothing fancy, but Right in front the beach and walking distance to everything in Waikiki.
Fantastic location and fantastic staff”
Front desk Fella was very helpful in giving us suggestions on where to go for food!
fabulous location, you won't find better for the price”
As far as beachfront rooms go, I doubt you'd find better for the price. However the rooms are quite small. Great for 1 or 2 nights but I could imagine I get quite frustrated with the size if I were staying for a week.
Best location and views but a bot pricey considering all the other options. Across the road from the beach and walking distance to everything. Dated decor and fittings but everything works which is important. Room layout is not ideal and airconditioner makes a massive racket all the time so bring earplugs. Great short term stay just to experience the iconic hotel.
Location wise you can't beat it! The staff were amazing and upgraded our room just to get us in since we were over 6 hours early for check in! The rooms are a bit dated but we knew that when booking, they offer boogey boards and beach towels too which is great, it's a 20minute walk across the road to the beach and the hotel has great views..everything was clean and tidy. The one drama we did have was the hairdryer blew up when my spouse used it but we got it replaced in 5 minutes!
Travel bug 59”
Travel bug 59 I like the Aston Waikiki circle for its proximity to the beach. There is road noise involved when you have a beachfront room. Try to book something higher than the eighth floor. Rooms are small but adequate appointed, and comfortable. Beds are comfortable as well. Small property but quite!! Beautiful sun sets
Ocean front room has lovely view. ”
Room is small, but sufficient for a couple. Quite pricey, but that seems to be the norm in Hawaii. I left my phone behind and it was found quickly by hotel staff and arrangements made for its return to me. The staff were very efficient and helpful. Hotel is a nice size, it never felt overrun with people. Overall a great stay, albeit for only two nights.
NEVER GOING BACK”
We live here on Oahu. We booked a room to spend the night, so we didn't need to drive home late after a dinner party with friends. Room was fine but..... no complimentary bottled water. Then as we checked out the next morning, we got a surprise mandatory charge of $20 for "amenities fee". Hotel clerk at night did not mention this at check in. The amenities are the wifi password, a morning newspaper left at our door and a couple other minor items, none of which we used. This type of extra charge (not explained before hand) does more harm to the hotel than the money they scrape in. Very bad for PR (public relations). We can't recommend this place and will never go back, and will be very cautious when considering any Aston Hotel brand establishment.
Great Location beside eateries and beachfront”
Pro - besides many eateries - beachfront (can cross the street and the beach is right there) Cons - hotel signage doesn't stand out, so have to rely on Eggs and Things' signage as a way to describe where the hotel is - no wifi access on the lobby only inside rooms, which is inconvenient - small rooms - also paid for a partial ocean view room but was given only a standard room - had to pay an additional $18/night for "amenities" like wifi and dvd rental (who watches dvd while they are on vacation?). Wifi access is oftentimes standard amenity already at most hotels so the fact that we have the pay for wifi is not fair. Plus this amenity charge is also mandatory upon check in. There is NO MENTION of this in agoda's hotel description which is unfair and sneaky if you ask me. Making the total room rate all the more higher
Great location and food but lousy service”
The best thing about Aston Waikiki Circle Hotel is its location as it is situated right in front of Waikiki Beach. Do get the room facing the beach as the view is worth it if you are staying on a high floor. Be warned that one of the two lifts broke down during our stay though. The amenities fee is ridiculous as the hotel is not the newest. Our aircon was rather noisy throughout the night. Do use the DVD and games rental and enjoy their coffee beans to make your stay value for money. Parking is a problem if you rent a car though. Paid parking is quite a distance away if you cannot get a lot at the hotel. You can try free street parking further down the beach along the road as well.
Bright qauint small sufficable ”
My stay at the Aston Waikiki Circle Hotel was fine. I had requested a late check in as I landed after ten. Upon arrival, I was promptly greeted by name in a friendly fashion. Additionally, as requested I received a high floor, staying in room 908. I agree with a previous reviewer that partial ocean view is fine, no need to pay extra for the full. There was some constructioon going on nearby, but this didn't bother me. Staff was accomodating to my request for a late check out, allowing me go stay until 2. After noon, a new key must be obtained to re-enter room. WiFi access also disalleared at noon. I was surprised by an $18 amenities fee at check out, including WiFi. I asked, and this fee is charged whether the WiFi is used or not. I was surprised because I chose this hotel for price, convenience, and novelty. With the fee, the price for my stay was over $150.
Excellent! I will be staying there again in April.”
Excellent! We had great service and I loved the Decor and location. I am coming back to Waikiki In April and have chooses this hotel to stay in again. I have also takes my parents into staying here too.
