"Mia was genuinely warm and welcoming and provided me with an early check-in as a Wyndham Diamond member. The room was okay, with a good bed and bedding, workstation desk, mini fridge, microwave and flatscreen TV with lots of channels. The breakfast is pretty good with cereal, muffins and breads, oatmeal, yogurt, bananas, juices, and coffee. Mia, Sidney, and Wicky provided good customer care and service. Plentiful excellent restaurants and shops and Oak Park Mall is about a quarter mile away. QuikTrip is next door, which is awesome. There is easy freeway access to all points in KC. The only real negative was that I left my iPhone charger with long cord in the socket next to the bed, but when I called an hour after checking out, it was gonzo for good. That was nonplussing."

"I recommend this place if you aren’t looking for anything fancy. It needs updated and cleaned better but for something cheaper for work it works. "

"Room was clean & comfortable. Stay was mostly quiet. Their pool is outdoor. It's in an ideal location in SW KC area (overland park - lenexa) & it had warm options for breakfast (eggs, sausage, biscuits n gravy). The parking lot was all that was a bit less appealing, as there's a closed commercial bldg (a restaurant?) that's taking up part of the parking lot, if they could demo that, it's a worthwhile stay. Would / will stay again."

" The intersection you have to navigate is a little confusing, but when you finally figure it out, this Holiday Inn is a little gem.
The value received for the price is great. The free breakfast was surprisingly good. They have a pancake machine that gives you 2 fluffy pancakes in one minute with the single push of a button. They have cinnamon rolls that are soft and not too sweet. They have scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, yogurt, bagels, and 3 types of cereal. They have a good selection of tea’s, and 4 different juices. Coffee is available all day long, all included with your room price.
The rooms are spacious, and clean. You would be satisfied with all of these things for the price you pay, but the staff here is really friendly, professional, and nice. This makes staying at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites in Lenexa/Overland Park a no brainer. When visiting the area, I’d stay here every time

"I stayed 10 days, more than some, less than other's...
The day staff is lazy for as many of them that were in the office, we had to traffic our dirty towels & linen all the way down to the front office in order to get clean 1's, had to clean & freshen up our own room, and once again had to go all the way down to the front office for a broom and dust pan & then back down to return it...
However, the night staff was awesome, definitely made the stay worth it, high end service enough to offset the shadiness of the day staff"

"Stayed here for a couple weeks. I paid daily through agoda. The front desk kept pushing me to get a weekly rate directly with them but I declined. At first they were very nice. But still very pushy which made me feel suspicious of their intentions. I seen other reviews on how they have kicked people out for no reason essentially keeping their money. Well on my last day of staying there they called me after I just checked in and told me I had to move rooms. I had no choice in the matter. Although I was happy in the room I had so I asked why and I was told that my room was booked and they were sold out of my room type which made no sense since I just literally checked in under the same room type. So I had to pack up everything and they put me in a room that was not cleaned. Had roaches. was handicap accessible. Even told me that if I just stay in this room they would give me a good deal. So they may seem nice at first but if your using a third party booking app they will push you to book with them and when you don't they will move you to the worst room out of spite. The owners also seem shady and constantly walk around watching you. Sweeping the same spot outside your door for hours making you feel uncomfortable "
