The view of Seoul city and Han River from the room was gorgeous. Food was so good.

First Seoul trip”

Our first Seoul trip staying at grand Hyatt, lots of cool cafe around the area, Itaewon-ro street was great a lot of fashions clothes.

The Pleasantly Surprising Grand Hyatt Seoul”

First, in the interest of full transparency, I am a loyal guest with another hotel brand whenever I travel, which is about 150 days every year. My favorite hotel brand didn't have a hotel in Seoul, so I went with the Hyatt. I was especially concerned about other guest comments about how "isolated" the hotel's location was. I love walking and exploring cities, where I visit so, was naturally apprehensive about my decision. I was impressed with this property from the moment I arrived. Fast, courteous and informative check-in. Small room but absolutely perfect for the business traveler. Great facilities that include an excellent gym and all the F&B facilities a traveler needs. Great breakfast buffet (try their private booths). Super Filipino band in the lobby lounge in the evening. I frankly could find nothing bad to say about this property. Even better, and much to my surprise, there are plenty of places within easy walking distance from the hotel. Restaurants and shops surround the hotel. Easy walk to Itaewan (15 minutes). Take a taxi back unless you are in great shape and like climbing.

A conference hotel with helpful staff; not exceptionally clean like other Grand Hyatt hotels; facilities are ok yet bit aged. Food has much room for improvement. Overall a satisfactory business hotel.

Great facilities and proximity to nature”

This is great for a morning walk-up to Namsan park, and the Japanese restaurant at the hotel is surprisingly good. The shuttle bus to Itaewon or Myeongdong eases accessibility somewhat, but it just doesn't run frequent enough, and ultimately not going to be as accessible as those that are just a step away from the metro. To wrap it up, rooms are great and there's spectacular views of either the city or Namsan.

The New Year's Eve pound cake wss missing”

I am regular to hyatt seoul for the last 15 years for several reasons, so i could check almost every single point of the hotel. Generally i have been satisfied with the service which the hotel has been selling, but the for the past a few years, i was bothered by annoying attitudes of under trained temp staff or visitors who were just looking at other customers and hotel guests. They kept looking other guests who were swimming or eating at the restaurant. Those who may be the novice to after hotel check in seem to know some hotel crew there since i could witness that they were sharing chatting over food. If the hotel has been spreading around some sales promotion tickets throung travel agencies, i wish they would stop doing that for the season finale. The fireworks show was awesome hooker but the marketing and sales promotion was loser. The hotel management crew show more respect guests who pay real cash. That is the petty. Since my daughter loved the pound cake that she could see on the table of the new year's eve, we were a bit dissapointed at the missing of it. Anyway, the new table needed some welcome singnature. General service, food, cleaning up comditions and attendants' hospitality are good but i really want to point out the irresponsible marketing, sales and management of HR. Definitely, however, i will visit and use the hotel lobby again for several reasons.

The hotel itself is excellence and the staffs are helpful. However, the location is far from Itaewon and you have to claim up the hill. It could be difficult to find taxi from Itaewon to the hotel in certain period of time.

A wonderful little 'world' up on the hill. Hotel has everything you need, even a nightclub! Well maintained facility with friendly helpful staff delivering excellent service. Exceptional views. Overall great experience.

Gorgeous hotel, AMAZING GYM!”

Lovely hotel, with a great location and views. Rooms a bit small, but more than made up for by the exceptional gym and beautiful pools (one indoor and one outdoor). Nice to be this close in the city and still have mountain views. Really nice.

Excellent stay with good view of Nasan tower”

The hotel is located bit far from Metro, but it is still convenient to take their shuttle bus. It is a good choice of stay if you want to have a quiet and relaxing holiday in Seoul, rather than squeezing with the crowd in those shopping area.

beautiful view”

I have stayed in the cheapest room but it had also amazing view. It didn't have a bath tub. the room serivce was reasonable price and massage was fantastic. the only prblem I had was a queen size bed.

Nice location with good environment”

It was a great weekend stay with my mom. There's a cute bridge connecting between the hotel and Namsan park. And you also can walk down to Kyungridan road and Itaewon for a dining. Swimming pool is nice and the Han river view from the hotel room is spectacular.

Magnificent hotel lobby and view on Seoul city”

Grand Hyatt Seoul is one of the landmark hotels in the city. Magnificent lobby and view from the rooms, it is clearly a high class standing venue. However I was a bit disappointed by the room. Decoration is getting old and the bathroom is really small and old for that price range and standards. Bath tub is too small to lie down and the room decoration is not relazxing at all. Honestly the bedroom and bathroom are similar to what you can find in a cheaper hotel such as Novotel. The bed quality however was fantastic.

Expected 5 star Hotel”

I love everything about this hotel, from the spa and the room. The first time, I went in to the room, I do not feel like leaving the room. I like the swimming pool too. It is very 5 star hotel where you sleep at night, and you wake up the next morning feeling fresh than never before. --> this is no joke.

Fantastic hotel”

This was my third stay and everything was excellent. Professional staff. Competent and helpful at all times. Rooms are a bit small, but comfortable and so are the beds. I liked that they have a free internet option (not usual for a 5-star hotel), which is sufficient to download emails. The breakfast and lunch buffets are great and I love the view over the river sipping on my coffee in the morning. The spa is one of the best hotel spas I have seen so far. Good-sized gym (although I didn't use it). One indoor and one outdoor pool and a great sauna and hot spring area. The hotels close proximity to Itaewon is also a plus as you can enjoy a large number of restaurant and bars almost around the corner.

great view from the hotel”

i enjoyed staying in grand hyatt hotel. it was a relaxing stay due to the location, away from the busy and crowded downtown area and yet, close enough to get around. the hotel is elegantly decorated. as you enter the lobby, you will see the great view of the han river and the south part of the city and it has a superb facilities. we used the fitness center which included a great spa area. from our room, it was relaxing to look out the nature of the mt. namsan and the seoul tower.

Great Location but little pricy”

i stayed in grand hyatt seoul for 2 nights. the hotel has a great location at the hilly area in the center of seoul. the rooms are to the smaller side but not the smallest (i estimate them to be 20-23 sqm. the furniture is in good shape and very practical (more like a business furniture hotel). short walk to etawon shopping and restaurants area.
