The room wasn't big but nice and clean. Staff members were really friendly. Got a cab to the airport at a reasonable price thanks to the staffs. The location is great. There was a bar on the first floor and a convenience store, Tim Hortons, etc. just around the corner so it was very convenient. Also close the the University of Toronto campus and within a walking distance from Eaton Center.
Nice hotel at good location”
The hotel is nice and clean, although the room is not very big. The location is perfect for travelers, very close to subway system and restaurants and shops. It's a nice place for business travelers to stay.
Lovely hotel with great location”
The downtown hotel is located next to the subway station so getting around was really easy for us. The room we got had two clean and comfortable double beds. Everything looked new. The staffs were very friendly and helpful too. The room rate was very reasonable, and we enjoyed our stay there and would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to others.
Spacious room, small bathroom, great location”
The hotel is very near to subway station, has a nice coffee shop, with restaurant and small grocery across the street. There are pubs nearby as well. We even managed to walk to Easton Center (the mall in downtown) The room is spacious, but the bathroom is small, but it's clean
Great choice, great location”
A great room and nice bathroom newly renovated, but a bit on the small side. The bed was fantastic a good coffe place on the ground floor and good restaurants close by. The former Maple Leaf Gardens net door is now a large shopping complex with a huge supermarket bakery and liquor store.
Noisy - bathroom falling to bits - unstable wifi”
Location and staff were good. Elevators are annoying - some don't go up on some floors. Fitness centre is a poor effort. Corridors and outside was noisy - slamming doors probably as I was located near a storage room and the staff were not concerned about customer quietness. Parts in the barhroom were falling apart. Can't fault the location for Toronto but the price is too high for how the hotel is looked after.
Downtown location, close to subway”
My husband and I stayed here for a couple of days, and we were very pleased. It's a great location next to shopping and restaurants, and the College subway stop is very near. There is a pharmacy and grocery nearby and a great selection of restaurants. If you are driving, this area can be a bit hectic, and the parking garage is pretty cramped. Otherwise, a great base from which to explore the downtown area of the city.
Convenient downtown hotel”
Nice comfortable rooms and friendly staff, the only hing that wasn't working was the heater. The room temp was so hot that my son and I was literally sweating and we had to open the window to get some fresh air in.
Relaxing in Toronto”
Definitely picked the right hotel for our stay in Downtown Toronto - haven't been back for some 20 years for more than a day and it was nice to be in the centre of it all. Had to do some personal things, banking, etc. and with the subway nearby one could get to almost anywhere that you couldn't walk. Loblaw's Superstore on Carlton only a minute away - and should be on one's bucket list to visit in Toronto.
Very good. The WiFi was very sporadic. There were problems, but not troubling. It is close to transportation and the venues visited. Rooms are nice. Beds are comfortable. The walls needed a cleaning and the rug spot cleaning.
Great value for the money”
The hotel is in downtown and centrally located. The Metro is only a block away. There is a super market also a block away. You can walk to many restaurants, shopping & cinemas. My only issue with the hotel was slow wifi. They need to improve that. Otherwise great value for money.
great hotel for value close to universities”
This hotel has great features, furnishings and facilities are really good here for business travelers and couples here, there is a pool and gym area on the 4th floor and the hotel is close to the shopping centers and Ryerson university campus, this is also close to the metro and easy to get around in Toronto.
Located on a bustling district in downtown Toronto, the Holiday Inn Hotel Toronto Downtown Centre (formerly Days Hotel & Conference Centre Toronto Downtown) is the perfect place to stay for business travelers.
Great location, clean rooms”
great location, as it is in downtown, so there are plenty of restaurants and transportation services. the university and harbor are both close-by. the hotel was nice, staff friendly, and the business center let me check e-mail and surf the net. there's a concierge (rare for a holiday inn), a spa, pool, and even travel packages/arrangements you can book there. the cost of the room was a little pricey, but it's located in downtown afterall, and everything else is a little expensive too, so i guess that's normal.
Easy access from the train station. The room is a bit small though. The lifts need upgrading as the ventilation system fails and were not able to cope during the peak check-out hours. I saw someone climbed the stairs from high floor because they were not able to get into the lift after waiting for half and hour.
The room is good but relatively small and compact. However, it's value for money considering the location in downtown. Unfortunately, when I arrived late (mid night) for check in to the hotel, the hotel car park is totally full. They have limited car park but still open for public parking. No priority for the hotel guest. Hence, I have to park my car at the public parking, then pull my luggage from few blocks away which really upset me.
nice hotel. the rooms tho very small are well maintained and very clean. the wifi signal is very good in the room so you can stay connected whenever you like. staff are very friendly and are always ready to assist. the location is just walking distance to everything, subway, bus stop, shopping malls, groceries, restaurants, schools, and church.
