Bella vecchia abitazione”
L'hotel è una bellissima vecchia casa ristrutturata, ma le stanze nella parte vecchia sono piccole e buie
Second Visit To The Hotel. ”
We stayed at the hotel a couple of years ago. This time we had a room (28) in the new wing. It was all clean and new with space and chairs to sit outside on the terrace. It’s a good location to get to the old city. We generally used the tuktuk guy at the gate of the hotel, Ramesh. He was reliable, friendly and speaks English. We booked a car for a trip to Amber Fort but the driver was sick. It was suggested that we take an Uber car but that was a failure. Eventually, an alternative driver was found. We ate at the new restaurant Shikaar Bagh which was excellent value. Of course we had drinks in Palladio. We booked an indoor table at the hotel but when we arrived, we were informed that we had to eat outside as there was a conference dining in the restaurant. This wasn’t what we’d expected. We were able to find a spot at Shikaar Bagh with much cajoling as it was Saturday evening and it was very busy. Overall a good stay but it could have been better.
Beautiful property, good location”
the hotel is locates in the heart of Jaipur. the property is an old house of Jaipur's noblemen. very nice decoration all over the place. its service is nice, but a bit more like a house service, rather than a trained hotel professional. bed is quite very high from the floor. we need to move the bed to the wall, for fear that the kid might fall down. there are puppet shows and traditional dance in the garden in the evening. quite noisy if you're staying on the same wing with this garden. in front of the hotel, there are some hip pubs and what looks like concept stores. very interesting to look around.
great hotel ”
Good hotel with an excellent big pool. The hotel is set in a big garden which is lovely, there are squirrels and peacocks to watch. The gentleman who works by the pool is fantastic, he is so efficient. The food was good and there are shops and two restaurants in the 'complex' near the main gate. It's a experience staying there. They do have some parakeets in a cage in the grounds, Please let them go!!
Great classic property, my girls didn't want to leave”
We enjoyed our stay at the Palace, our children were very excited to stay in a real castle and loved the rooms! The entertainment with dinner, dancing and a puppet show, was first rate. My only concern is that, while we had good cell service in the rooms, the wifi only worked in the common areas.
Abysmal ”
Utterly false description and services ---! pitiful facade painted - pitiful no internet in room as advertised -? water pressure =runny nose person with flu --- no fridge no lighting outside room - charge for ice with no fridge no heating fan heater only (cool weather) also note asked for NON adjoining room BUT. Has opening in TOILet so ALL sounds --repeat all sounds -- like in same room DAnger DANGER. Run away screaming customers at staff heard as used reception Internet This is not 4 star - not 3 star - poorly maintained - evidence is we checked out early mr sing manager is ok recognised this note we have stayed in dozens of countries you should considers staying in Umaid Bahawan heritage same star rating - but nothing. Like narain nawas no palace no internet - bathroom toilet adjoining - soundsy crystal clear not privates- no heating - fan heater -no water pressure runny nose equivalent
Beautiful grounds and heritage ”
Beautiful place, nice rooms very clean. Gorgeous grounds, so serene which is the most appealing part of this place as Jaipur is hot and busy outside. Downside is average quality food in breakfast buffet and dinner buffet (I would skip the dinner and show). Location is on the otherside of the old town so lots of time spent in traffic to see the main attractions and drive around. Wifi quality is poor. All in all a beautiful hotel and a nice place to relax in a serene environment.
LOVELY HERITAGE PROPERTY”
I have recently stayed at this hotel for two nights. It has a wonderful heritage feel to the property. I was told they were full by the hotel and Booking.com but Agoda seemed to be able to produce a room at a fraction of the cost. The first room I was offered was very small and up a lot of stairs but I was then offered a lovely room opening onto the garden on the ground level. The reception staff were very very helpful but the staff serving food on the verandah were hard to find to place an order and I was told I couldn't eat breakfast on the verandah terrace. I finally insisted on seeing a menu and by then breakfast was over. The food I did order was delicious and very plentiful and reasonably priced. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a heritage experience in Jaipur.
Excepțional”
Hotel is amazing. A must stay in Jaipur, full of character. Please take the time to have massage at the spa. I arrived with very bad back and the male masseuse, helped me enormously. Overall, best hotel for our trip.
Reliably Regal ”
A true heritage property (i.e. stairs lead to many of the rooms, though ground floor rooms are available) which marries Indian hospitality and rajput style with the comforts that global travelers expect. Management and staff are gracious and accommodating and the roaming peacock and pea hens are a delightful presence throughout the grounds. Bar Palladio and the adjacent boutiques nearby deliver plenty of the fabulousness (both modern and traditional) that Jaipur is famous for.
You can do better!”
Pros- food at dinner was good, breakfast was not. Cons- most unfriendly staff I have encountered in years of traveling! Facilities were very basic and the price was too high for what you got. I felt that nobody cared we were there! Reception staff were totally indifferent to our presence!
Great stay, not good in off season.”
Stayed at the Narain Niwas for a few nights in June 2016. It was off season so there were only 2 rooms occupied so no breakfast buffet. The rooms were nicely decorated but not like the pictures and the wifi is very slow in the rooms. TV was placed in an awkward position between two twin beds so you could not watch from either bed but would have to watch from the chair or move the TV. AC and fan were barely able to keep the room cold in 105 F degree temperatures. Bar Palladio is nice because it is next door and hotel is 10 min from the bazaars. Staff was nice and kept rooms very clean and stocked. No mini-fridge so complimentary waters were hot. Beautiful palace with peacocks roaming the gardens and outdoor pool but no lights at night so be careful on the stairs to the rooms. Had a nice stay here, however, there are far cheaper options in Jaipur with better facilities...
Cool heritage hotel ”
Breakfast variety was poor based on hotel rates we paid. There wasn't much amenities around the hotel area thus if you are looking for alternative food outside of hotel, that will be a problem. Swimming pool was good, providing a cooling relief in the sweltering heat and good place to chill and relax. Heritage hotel provides a great feel towards our stay in India.
Nice quiet hotel”
Very nicely decorated hotel surrounded by pretty gardens and a nice pool. It is set back from the busy road traffic and is quite and peaceful. The staff are friendly and efficient. The food is okay but there is a better option across the parking lot called "Palladio".
Gorgeous colonial hotel”
Peaceful and beautiful! Loved the antiques and the heritage feel with such interesting antiques everywhere. So easy to make home for a few days! Reception staff a little abrasive but otherwise perfect. Thank you!!! Looking forward go staying again...
Hidden gem, not for long”
The hotel was a pleasant surprise. I booked my room through Agoda and during the reservation process I received a prompt offering a room upgrade. Am I glad I accepted the offer. My room was very large, 20 ft. (+/-) ceilings, marble floors, and a queen size canopy bed. The furnishings were of an antique style. My only regret, I was traveling alone. The hotel grounds are very nice and with a lot of trees. The hotel is set back away from the main road. This offered a more serene environment away from the sounds of the city. I can't say enough about the staff. They were most accommodating and always willing to please. Having stayed at many 5 star hotels, this property in many ways is on par. There are three restaurants; a breakfast room, outdoor restaurant, and a restaurant not owned by the hotel. The separately owned restaurant offers great outdoor/indoor dining and a wonderful bar. Honestly, I can't say enough about my experience at Hotel Narain Niwas.
Good stay at a beautiful heritage hotel”
Excellent stay. Narain Niwas Palace is a former noble haveli turned into a beautiful heritage hotel with very friendly staff and large, well furnished and beautifully painted rooms. The rooms are pleasantly large, even the standard room is so large that it has a comfortable sitting area. The hotel sits in the middle of large, pleasant and quiet gardens. Not far from the Pink City and right on a bust road it is like a haven where you can take refuge from the noise and chaos of the traffic. The Albert Hall is within easy reach, perhaps even walking distance with the right weather., while the Pink City is probably best reached by taxi. The Indian food is good and has variety, the Western menu has less choice, but being in India it shouldn't be a huge issue. The breakfast menu has excellent variety and the kitchen can supplement it on request.
Lovely heritage building, very relaxing stay”
Me and my partner ended up staying here on three occasions as Niwas Palace offered best combination of price, beautiful heritage building/rooms and amenities. Also as it was coming to the end of our second month of travelling India we were starting to miss certain luxuries of life and the lovely Italian restaurant with nice variety of cocktails and wine list was wery welcomed by us.
Beautiful Heritage look ”
We had very comfortable stay, very cooperative staff, beautiful ambience giving royal touch, pictures & other displays of the Royal Family were interestig, above all Room Tariff reasonable . It fulfilled our wish of staying in a Palace/ Heritage Hotel in a Ity once ruled by Rajas
great value for money heritage hotel”
this is already our third stay in Narain Niwas, it has become our favorite hotel in Jaipur as it has a very good location, nice comfortable rooms in a beautiful surrounding and a very good value for money.
