Value for Money”

We actually wanted to stay in a hostel but then we noticed that the price for a room in this hotel is almost the same as the price for a mixed dormitory in nearby hostel. With low expectations, we chose this hotel and we did not regret it at all. This hotel is not too far from the station and there are a couple of convenience stores nearby. If you are okay to walk, you can reach Chinatown and the Harbourland from the hotel which will take around 30 minutes. Of course, you can reach other tourist spots such as Kitano in 15-20 minutes on foot. The room is clean and good enough for a couple. The walls are pretty thick so we rest a good deal without disturbance from nearby rooms. Staffs were really friendly and can communicate in English.

Cleanness”

I booked two rooms. One room on 15/F was fine while the other on 14/F was quite dirty. I found dirts in the toilet, on the desk in the living room and on the bed. As those dirts were quite large and not minor, I believe the cleaners on 14/F was a bit careless. I seldom encountered this situation in Japan and hoped that it was an exception. So I would still recommend this hotel, although cleanness is really important for me.

the hotel location was very good, about 5 mins walk from the station. and 10 mins walk to the centre of Kobe. we love it very much. The room and toilet was clear and better than I expected. staff are very helpful. i would stay there again for next time. good place.

Relatively large room in Japan”

This price is too high due to golden week. We found the price dropped half when we arrived the hotel compared with the time we book. A bit upset about that. The room is clean and the hotel is located in a good location. Not very far away from the tourist attractions.

Hotel is 5 min walk to Boeki portliner train station lead to Sannomiya station in 2 mim( if you don't want to walk10-15min)or to Kobe airport about 20min. You also can walk to Kobe china town 30 min. Clean and quiet hotel, comfort bed- full, good hot water. Staff also speak English.

Hotel with surprise”

The hotel reception staff is so nice to notice my wife's birthday recently and pass us a free canned drinks. High floor room let us see a nice view of Kobe. The hotel is within walking distance to the city center of Kobe with many well known eateries, including Kobe beef restaurants. The room is also spacious and clean as compared with that in Osaka. Overall speaking, I would highly recommend anyone to stay here with good value for money.

Great Quality like other Sunroute Hotels in Japan”

Sunroute Sopra Kobe is coherent to other Sunroute Hotel in Japan. The quality is great and staffs are polite and helpful. The location gave you a very quiet environment but it takes you 10 - 15 mins walk from the JR station. Another great thing is that there is a Family Mart next door. You can grab daily necessities there.

Ticks all the boxes for Japanese business hotel”

Standard Japanese business hotel. Comfortable and efficient. Does have good buffet breakfast. If you are there as a tourist you can walk to the main attractions in 20 minutes or catch bus from train station (only 5 mins walk away from hotel).

5 mins by taxi and 15 mins walk to Portliner that goes to the airport and cruise ships and also Sannomiya Station. Rooms are a bit small that is like a lot of mid range Japanese hotels. Double bed is more like a Single King. Staff were very nice in helping book taxis and making sure the driver knew where we were going.

Overall it is reasonably good - nice breakfast, short walk to central. However room is lack of drawer for storage. The worst part is the uncomfortable pillow while the bed itself is good.

The room is spacious and clean, pretty good soundproof. Guests staying in the hotel also received special vouchers for other services in the cities.

Perfect stay”

I traveled to Kobe for important meetings. It was a five days trip, and I've asked for a quiet room few weeks advanced. The room was perfect. As quiet as I needed. I barely heard sounds from the next door. The space and facilities are also better than the usual business hotel in Japan. I got enough space to open my luggage and the bath tub can even allow me to lie all in it. Shower pressure is strong enough which provided me a real relief after a hard day at work. Although its location is a bit away from the main station like Sannomiya. However, bus 2, 7, 90, 92 lead to almost everywhere. Also, the hotel locates right next to the Port Liner that leads to my airport( Kobe Airport) which was just perfect for me.

Far away from the station(10 - 15mins)”

It is a little bit far away from the main station of the town, when you finish a day you don't like to walk that far away to hotel. Over all every thing is good, room is clean and big enough, services is good, breakfast very good, just a little bit far away from the main station.

Great value for the price”

I was surprised by how nice the hotel was especially for the price. It wasn't too far from the station and the place was quite nice. The rooms aren't very large, as most in Japan, but still very tidy and a pleasant suprrise.

we had a warm stay in the hotel, the staffs are very nice and friendly. The room and bathroom are quite spacious for Japan standard. Location is ok which is not too far from the rail station. Overall, we'd love to return for another stay in future.

Location is good. ”

Stayed in Kobe for three days. Hotel location is good. Very convenient to go to restaurants and sightseeing. Walking distance to Subway station. But the double bed size is not really double. We don't sleep well for two nights. Otherwise everything is ok and breakfast is good.

Need improvement on customer services”

We reserved for a non-smoking room, but the hotel front desk staff arranged a smoking room, we changed to non-smoking room after complained. The lift was out of service on our second night stay, we could not go out because our room was at the higher floor.
