Satisfaction!”

I stayed here for more than a week (9 days). For service apartment it give you such an amazing experience which you just can say there and feel at home. The facilities are very good, they have laundry section which you can use for free and it located just nearby the pool and gym that you can spend your time waiting for your laundry there. there is a market which open on Monday and Thursday and also mini mart if you need things to cook. For business and family traveler I recommend this hotel for you.

Overall we enjoyed tge stay at Somerset Vientiane. 10 min by car to airport and 10 min walk to Riverside restaurants. Nice and clean swimming pool. Complimentry self operating laundry and airport shuttle.

Real service issue for an international brand”

I used this place many times in the past for my stays in Vientiane, and service has never been their strong point, but it was this time poorer than ever. I am a regular customer of this place and requested a quiet room, back facing, as we were coming with a small baby. We were assigned the worst and noisiest room of the property, on ground floor with windows directly on the car park, facing main street. I asked for a change and the staff was totally unhelpful, while the property was clearly not full. After a very long wait I requested to call management who just asked us to pay more if we wanted to change rooms. In addition the place starts to show its age, has a serious mosquitoes and maintenance issues (shower either too hot or too cold, insufficient AC in the bedroom There are now more and more options in Vientiane, including Crowne Plaza just opposite, i will not return.

I would recommend Somerset. It seems geared to the business traveller, but is good for the tourist as well. It is about ½ mile from the main tourist area, but is an easy walk. There are restaurants around. I recommend the Chinese restaurant across the street. The breakfast is optional, but worth the price. The room is large and keep immaculately clean. There are facility in the room for cooking. The internet sputtered the first day, but after that was strong and steady.

Good Location, big room.”

Location is OK. Easy to go to both city side and airport. But not much food around the hotel. Room is quite big. Toilet is separated from bath area. Wifi available, but not strong signal. BF is not worth to.

Very nice. ”

This hotel/apartment complex is very well taken care of and is a perfect place to relax and 'get away'. The staff are great as is the pool, lounge, fitness room, tennis court, etc... Just a really nice place. Would recommend it.

Quaint, better than expected”

This place was nice. The staff was friendly and cute in their attempts to give us info despite not the best English. The apartment was nicer than the pictures. Vientiane is kinda boring, but we were glad to have a nice room to hole up in.

Laos Holiday”

The apartment was well appointed, the staff and services were average, it appeared the more we spent on accommodation the less customer services we received. There was not porter services and we felt as we were short term customers, it was almost frowned on as we were processed without any personal connection to our stay

My go to hotel for my yearly trip to VNT”

Great place and location. Top notch staff. Breakfast is mediocre but still ok. Swimming is clean and well maintained. The gym is sub par with old equipment and the new universal was assembled poorly so it’s unusable. Overall highly recommend.

Nice apartment, but a bit far from city center”

This residence hotel offers small apartment equipped with kitchen, living room and balcony. We booked a “Studio Premier”. 85€/night. The building and the rooms are new, clean and well equipped. I like the separate toilet and bathroom. The staff is friendly, responsive and helpful. The place offers a good value for the price. The only small issue is that it is about 30 mins walk to the city center and going to Vientiane city center with the car became a real nightmare when you want to park it.

Expected more for my money ”

First time in laos , I guess hotels in Laos are a bit run down and your money doesn't go as far. I expected more . Room was dated, and felt dingey. Breakfast was a joke . Literally a joke . Worst breakfast I've ever had at a "hotel". Pool was nice , only partial sun at pool. I would not stay again. Did not feel warm welcome etc

Revamped Hotel”

The hotel has revamped quite recently, cosy and clean room. I had accidently selected on extra bed which was being charged, requested for refund but rejected due to the rules & policy as both Agoda and Somerset said. If the booking term is pay later and free cancellation, I will have no problem to cancel whole booking and re-book again. Seems both Agoda and Somerset doesn't have the flexible way to resolve the issue. Chose to said is rules, cannot be amend.

Nice big room with free laundrette!!!”

I like the free laundry facilities! Room is big with all the amenities. About 10-15 mins walk to Mekong river and the night market. Mini mart is about 10 mins walk. Also the free room WiFi is fast, I mean really fast, more than 70 Mbps!!! I can play my online games without lagging...

One of the Best Choices in Vientiane”

Clean. Comfortable. Location is okay. Shops, restaurants, and the Mekhong River are not too far away. The big swimming pool and laundry room are a big plus. Families with small children will appreciate the big refrigerator and microwave oven in the room. There is a small kitchenette with a stove, along with dishware and silverware. Pretty good internet connection. The hotel offers free airport shuttle. The staff were pleasant and helpful to us. Checking in and out was a breeze.

Good standard service appartment”

Quite a good choice for a business trip to Vientiane. Rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Location is central enough to be walking distance to most attractions. The large swimming pool, tennis and gym are nice plus.Two downsides however: the hotel have no Free Wifi, and the service is a bit inconsistent (always missing something after maid service, one day coffee, the other soap...). But overall a good value for price.

Good value, minor issue”

We had a good stay in one of the apartments. My wife and i traveled with our 2 year old baby and the hotel had a crib for us. The apartment is a good size, plenty of storage room and closet space. The hotel is located within walking distance of temples, restaurants and city center. Also just a 10 minute drive to the airport. The hotel pool is nice and has a small kiddie pool. They also have a nice tennis court. The only minor problems were the internet, very slow in our room. Many times did not work at all. The staff is helpful but unfortunately don't speak much English. So asking advise for a restaurant or getting directions is extremely difficult. Also the AC in the room was a bit loud but not enough for us to complain about it. Overall the positives outweigh the negatives and its in my opinion a good value. I would stay again if i ever go back to Vietiane.

They said free shuttle on their website ”

When I requested tje free shuttle pickup at the airport they said they needed 12 hours notice to use their shuttle! I booked a van at the airport in 2 minutes to there hotel. The booking company I used said breakfast was included in the price but the hotel said not it was not n I would need to pay extra for it!

The Staff respond should be improved”

Some of the staff in slow response. The housekeeping no doing a good job until twice feedback become better than the 1st two day.
