Not Worthed”

The rent per night is cheap.. But rooms are dusty. Washroom with molds and dusty as well. We're are not comfortable with the place so I ended up looking for another place to stay.

We booked the hotel for 3 days in, T, W n F. We got worried on our 1st day because we arrived at 6PM and the hotel looked dead. There were no lights, the counter &the lobby did not have anyone manning it, so it felt like we got scammed because we already paid for it. Upon waiting for like 30 minutes & desperately looking for someone to let us in, we found a foreigner smoking beside the house. I approached her & she told me she didn't speak English and went to get someone. The woman, I was not sure if she was working there but she had access. She said the staff just left the key. We were able to get in the room, the place was clean but it was like they were not really prepared for us. No towels & blankets but those were given to us by the woman who let us in. There were no thrash bins in the kitchen &in the bathroom. So for 2 days we had the room. Then we left and went back on our last day. Still, no staff but the room we occupied had its door unlocked, so we just got in and stayed

Very very dirty ”

It was disgusting, they didn’t even pretended they cleaned , there was a pee I’m the toilet, the sink was super dirty, the shower had wet paper. There were tons of mosquitos. There wasn’t water in our room , the galon was empty, there was also no toilet paper , until the next day. So good facilities but so bad mantaind , the Tv wasn’t working , the shower disgusting , and for three people they only gave us 2 towels .

Waste of money”

Not worth it. We booked this place for about 1k plus and the place is really not well maintained. I cannot take a bath because the bathroom are full of molds and the shower, sink, faucet are all rusty! There are no toiletries provided either. Location is not good also. It’s not really that accessible. Staff are always not around. Pictures of this place are misleading. We booked it because it seems really clean in the pictures but all are very dirty!

Spirit of NO-WAY”

So I'll start with the Pro's, there are quite a few.. Very friendly staff. Both girls on our 2 night stay (13+14 May) were so pleasant & helpful. Scooter Hire not a problem. Also able to run a tab at the bar. Room decent size, well furnished & fridge/kettle etc included. Price was fair also. Now the Cons. I have to mention the cleanliness of the kitchen sink/shower/taps was REALLY poor. Its also evident the pictures on Agoda were obviously taken when the place was just built. The bathroom/shower does NOT look as gleaming or fresh anymore. There was an awful smell in the room. Throughout our two day stay. Like cat urine. Sorry but I feel I have to speak the truth. Location-wise, nothing is walking distance really. A 7-11 is near enough, but anything else is a Tricycle. The hotel itself is around 30/40mins from Ferry Terminal in a Tricycle. There are only two rooms, so don't expect any kind of life around the place at all. There are much better options for just a little more cash.

The Hotel Resto-bar is nestled in the outer part of the main Township of Panglao and although not within walking distance of the beaches. It is within walking distance of the township, including the 7-11 shop. The location will allow you to see the life of the local people who I found very friendly. I tried many of the local foods from the small eateries. Fresh coconut milk, mangoes, Papaya were all available from local vendors. I also tried the Palm wine, Tuba and Bahalina. To get to the beaches is easy via motorcycle hire, tricycle or habal habal (50 to 100 PHP).

We stayed here for 2 days and the manager Dimitri Nini offer us to rent a motor bike at a price about 250 peso per day. We have fun. But car to beach was more expensive. at a price about 400 P. Anyway, It is worthy, the price is so low.

Really nice small hotel”

We stayed for three nights in the family room. Clean and modern with Samsung TV with lots of channels. Good air conditioner. We hired a Honda 125cc motorcycle from the hotel for 400php a day. This enabled us to roam when and where we wanted to. The beach is about 3.5km from the hotel and so the motorcycle was really useful. The room has a lovely balcony overlooking a garden. We will book again and we would thoroughly recommend this friendly hotel to anyone.

Excellent hotel, family and owner! ”

My partner and I were blown away when we arrived at the spirit of Norway, the room was incredible with all the mod-con's, huge balcony and even a waterfall shower! We extended our stay here by several days. The family that run the hotel have hearts of gold, they were the nicest and most helpful people. They even invited us to a party they were hosting and, my gosh the food was incredible!! They couldn't have treated us better and we want to thank them for they're hospitality. They also had the most beautiful little dog peanut and we miss him!! We hope to come back one day and enjoy this beautiful place again, thank you!!!

Scandinavian smoothness and filippino charm!”

When entering your room you will get the feeling of being in a modern one bedroom appartment somewhere in Scandinavia. High quality materials, tastefull decour and your own large balcony. The filippino crew was very helpfull! You can get basic but good food from 5 in the morning and if you ned help to arrange a trip, or anything else, it can be done fast and effective. If you wanna avoid the noise at Aluna beach, and if you don't mind a small tricycle ride, you will love The Spirit Of Norway!

The room is quite big. Has sala, safe, refrigerator, electric kettle, and balcony. We really enjoyed our stay. Thumbs up.

A hidden gem”

i stayed here for a week in December and was impressed by the cleanliness and the friendly atmosphere around the place, the place is newly built and therefore clean and modern, situated a bit of a walk from the resort of Alona beach but Pablo provided me with a good scooter, (at extra cost but cheaper than other local services) a small town is quite close by and also a market where barbecued chicken, and fresh daily bread and fruit is cheaply obtained, a great p[lace to stay, good value and clean and modern

Nice place to stay for few days”

We enjoyed our time at Spirit of Norway. The rooms is enough big. Staff very friendly. Going to Alona beach by motorbike or by tricycle takes 10 minutes.Highly recommended!

Great Little Guesthouse...on great little Island”

This was a lovely guesthouse with big spacious room. Everything a short ride away. Scooter hire also available at a reasonable price. Well run place that I would highly recommend.

Dimitri is the Best!”

The Staff should actually get 6*. For 4 days we had a pleasure of staying in this excellent hotel. Our stay was perfect. The kind, courteous and friendly staff/management made it more welcoming and made us feel like we are in a "home".The room was very comfortable and clean. Location is a bit away from everyththing but you can hire a scooter for 400 a day. The catch: There is a Rooster-Party which usually starts every day at 1 am in the morning but ya, what you expect, you are on the phillipines.. We highly recommend this place to everyone. Thanks again to Dimitri and Family for this unforgettable visit on Panglao!
