Our favourite Thai resort ”

As always perfect location on Bangniang beach Eat breakfast overlooking the sea. Good variety of food at breakfast, however there could be more vegetarian choices. Staff are always friendly, polite and helpful..... they remember us from year to year! Beautiful bed flowers and Welcome Home sign on our door 2 lovely pools, they could have been a bit cooler. Rooms are big, comfortable and clean. Close to shops and restaurants. Issues this year with toilets not flushing in different areas across the resort. Attempts were made to fix this but I think just a case of an older resort needing regular maintenance. Hopefully this will be sorted out before we come to Thailand next year Another issue remains with wifi only available in lobby. Even an increase to include the bar and restaurant would be good.

Happy to be home”

This is our favourite resort in Thailand and we stay there annually. As always the rooms are spacious and clean. Good size bathroom with the shower over the bath. 2 great swimming pools with plenty of lounges. Breakfast is served in the restaurant which is adjacent to be beach. It has plenty of choices both Asian and western with an egg station. Staff are delightful and always smiling and attentive. The bar is also located in the beachside area. Easy walking distance to good restaurants and shops and the beach. The only drawback is there is only wifi at reception if you dont have you own. As repeat guests we arrive to fresh flowers in the room and towel animals on the bed, also a welcome home sign outside your room. The little things that count. Look forward to returning next year.

Our favourite resort in Thailand”

Sudala Resort is a fantastic resort with large comfortable, clean rooms. It is opposite the beach and has two pools. The breakfast is served in the beachfront restaurant. Excellent choices including tropical fruits, breads, cereals, stir fry, rice, noodle, pastries and an egg station. Staff are very friendly and always helpful. We will return again next year.

really nice hotel, very expensive for the region”

We really liked the hotel and enjoyed our stay there. The hotel was very expensive compared to others in the region and I don't think it was worth the much higher price. I must admit that we missed the breakfast so maybe all value lies in there..

highly recommended stay in khao lak”

The resort was great! They had a private beach area directly infront of the resort. Its was really value. I was expecting something lower. Bt with their service, i would rate them 4 star! Big rooms too!

Perfect six day stay”

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It is in a perfect setting - lovely lush and secluded gardens. Lovely and clean swimming pools. The hotel is situated just across the road from a nice little beach. The room is huge with a huge bathroom, huge bed and a huge balcony with a glimpse of the sea through all the trees and gardens. The buffet breakfast is good with loads of choice. The waiting staff are lovely and smiley. The cleaning staff are brilliant, the room was made up every day with everything restocked. The room was spotless. Full marks to the cleaning staff. Thoroughly recommended. A in room safe would just made it perfect.

Nice, well maintained resort”

Overall a nice place and I would stay there again. The place is well maintained and staff are friendly and willing to please. We paid more for a Grand Deluxe room which is more like a bungalow at the front of the resort. It was large and had a nice big balcony. The 'standard' rooms (in three storey hotel style buildings behind us) looked nice from outside too.

Quality hotel”

We spent our 3 first day in Thailand at Sudala Beach Resort and I'm been happily suprised on the breakfast and the nice area, I'm going to recomend this hotel to all my friends and I'm sure I'm coming back

Hotel closed - upgraded to sister resort Mukdara”

While the Sudala was closed due to low season and few travellers, if it is anything like the Mukdara where we were upgraded to, and being the same company one would expect similarities, then it would be a beautiful place to stay. Khao Lak is a quiet coastal area and the Mukdara gave us time to unwind for 3 days in a beautiful setting before we headed onto the lovely Khao Sok and further to Koh Phangan. The room was well appointed and comfortable with a beautiful bathroom, the staff were friendly, happy and helpful. The restaurant overlooked a lovely bay and also had a series of swimming pools despite the main extensive swimming pool area where we enjoyed a few delicious cocktails at the pool bar. The Green Pepper restaurant up the road is also worth a visit. It would be worth hiring a car or scooter in this area as it would be easy driving and there is much to explore.

Nice hotel across the road from the beach”

we booked a deluxe room but was not available so was upgraded to a larger room. we wanted the deluxe room as it looked onto the road, an empty lot and the water while the upgrade had a garden/pool view. the room had a fridge, balcony, 2 included bottles of water and a huge bathroom with a tub and shower. the breakfast had a nice variety including a couple thai dishes. there were beach chairs with an umbrella per two chairs. overall, good place to stay and would stay there again.

Small hotel but no lack in value. ”

room was nice and spacious. clean cut, definitely no lizards crawling on the ceiling type. every request we asked were promptly attended , including changing the fridge of our room when i saw a broken button. even though we only pay for a superior room, it's right beside the pool. we enjoyed our stay very much.

Not for this price !”

Still big rooms but everything else is gone. Stained towels, not working air conditioning, dirty pool (only one was working). Beach side was already bad, rusty umbrella, dirty bed and, the most, no one seams to care.

Pool cloudy and slimy not clean enough to swim in ”

Bed -hard Pool -not clear water couldn’t risk getting ear infection . Staff .-basic friendliness -didn’t go out of there way. Except Servers at breakfast were great Mai and soottai . No internet other than lobby . Beach was nice chairs were old and dirty .

Nice location, great place.”

If you like Khao Lak, this is the place to be. The hotel is small scale and personal. Green and clean with great staff. Room and balcony great too. Brekfast is extra nice since location is on the beach. Will come again if we choose to go back to Khao Lak. Not sure about that.

Sudala Khao Lak”

This is really a nice resort. The room is quite good size and the balcony with 2 rocking chairs is good. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and good. The property does not have an elevator but wasn't a problem as I was staying on the first floor. The only real problem I had with the resort was that the WiFi was only available in the lobby. This made staying connected very cumbersome and inconvenient. The resort is not on the main drag running thru town but that was fine. Within easy walking distance to many restaurants and bars. I particularly liked Chang Bar. I would stay here again as long as I did not need ready access to WiFi.

Good value for money”

We stayed for several days in Sudala and extended several times our stay and later we had to change plans and had to leave earlier. They were flexible about doing changes over the agoda Service Center. Staff is very nice and helpful, we could even leave our things there while we were gone for some days twice. The location is great and close to a lot of restaurants, bars, spas, tour-shops. The beach is a small section between concrete erosion protections, but still nice. The two pools are huge and very nice. Our room was great and spacious with a big balcony, Little downside was the bathroom always being wet from the toilet. Some things would need an upgrade to look nicer around the pool and beach, but I think it’s a great value for your money and we would stay here again!
