It might just being in the Fuji area but this place seemed expensive compared to other places we stayed on our trip to Japan. Overall the hotel is a bit worn and could do with a lick of paint, varnish and new carpets. However, if you have settled on staying around Yamanankako Lake - which is a good choice for hikers - its a pretty good selection of the available accommodation. What we really liked was the family onsen, the garden and the really helpful family who run the place - for example, while they like for you to book a day in advance for dinner and breakfast and we arrived a little late to organise dinner, the owner drove us to and picked us up from a near by restaurant - the Chianti Como (really good Italian food and a nice view of the lake). The following day when we ordered breakfast and dinner in advance both were large, elaborate, complex and tasty.

They keep everything clean. I'm impressed when they clean our luggage wheels when we are entering the property. You need to make sure you are booking included bfast and dinner, bcos their food are fantastic. I would stay here again when I come back. They are so nice. They even drive us to the nearest point to take a picture of Mount Fuji, and spent along time with us, as there are 4 of us who really like to take a pictures.

I drove to the place, it is very easy to find on the map. Please order dinner and breakfast, very delicious. Good to come with family, even with babies, the shared bathrooms can accommodate families in one big private bathroom Big and feee car park with nice Japanese garden Thanks for the free wine and grape juice!

Super delicious food.....with good service mind”

Overall is good with super delicious food and their lovely service. However, I would recommend for a small group to reserve 2 persons per room. Room is a bit tiny,but its clean and comforable enough for all guest.

A comfortable place,but not that suitable for public transport travellers. The boss very nice and helpful, and could speak english. I was so pleasantly surprised that he try to share some hot spot for us to view Mt.Full, but so sad that we had to leave on that morning and can't join him. Higher recommended for anyone who never stay in a traditional Japanese home and who look for a serenity place.

Great Stay at This Ryokan”

I recently stayed with my son at this ryokan. We left by train from Tokyo and wanted to spend time on Mt. Fuji. When we arrived at the Fujisan train station we called the ryokan and the owner, Yoshi, came at helped us get a bus to Mt. Fuji. After we hiked around Mt. Fuji, Yoshi came and picked us up from the station and brought us to the ryokan. The Ryokan has a beautiful Japanese garden that our room looked out onto. It was nice to wake up to this beautiful setting in the morning. The room was very clean and spacious, and was bigger and better than higher priced ryokan rooms we have stayed in, in Tokyo. The bedding was very clean and comfortable. We only stayed one night here, but it was a perfect stop for us.

The owner and his son went out of their way to help us, giving lifts to nearby restaurant and also to the viewpoints for Fujisan. Breakfast was a real traditional Japanese feast. Beautiful garden. Location very near the bus stop which is half way around the lake.

Amazing day by the lake of Yamanakoko and Mount Fuji”

I would like to express sincere thankfulness to our hosts in Teiensaryo Yamanakoko. They made our stay cozy and warm in all meaning of these words, even-though it was frisky and rainy outside for the first day when we have arrived to the riokan. We have really enjoyed onsen at this riokan, it was clean and gave the feeling of that typical japanese bathing experience. It is very refreshing and warming when the weather is cold outside. Room was tidy and clean, in japanese style with a little set for tea ceremony. Hotel manager was super friendly and gave as a lift to the closest restaurant for dinner. Moreover he has extended his hospitality to waking up early in the morning to drive us to the panoramic tour to viewpoints of Mt Fuji-san. Weather was sunny so we made plenty of good shots and were too carried away so that 1h 30 minutes passed so fast. Our host stayed very calm and polite but reminded us that we shall come back to hotel for that true authentic Japanese breakfast. Breakfast was a piece of art too and we were eating it in kimono with a view to the garden with KOI fish pool. This is the first time I am willing to write such extensive and positive review for a hotel and I mean every word written here. Good hospitality experience indeed.

Nice place, great host”

The host was very helpful and took us to a nearby Fuji view point at Sunrise!!! No extra charge . We were really happy. The older gentleman of this family fun business was really good with my younger son. Giving him food to feed the fish. Rooms a good size too. Would stay again.

If you're not able to book this hotel, please change your schedule to fit the dates. The hotel is 4 minute walk to the bus stop, where you can take KABA boat. The room is clean, cozy and quiet, with a balcony to see the garden. The food is incredibly delicious, both breakfast and dinner. And the owner is so nice that he drove us to one of best view spots of Mount. Fuji. Their service made me feel like home, great experience!

Stunning accommodation ”

The stay at this ryokan was absolutely wonderful. The room was clean and beautifully laid out. The traditional atmosphere was incredible. Our hosts did everything in their power to make our stay as pleasant as possible, from driving us to a local restaurant, to serving us a late night snack of chilled peaches, to letting us feed the Koi in their beautiful Japanese garden. This stay was a highlight of our trip - couldn't recommend more.

在山中湖的旁边，离巴士站很近。抵达当天老板说没空做晚餐，但是开车带着绕湖看了一圈。天气阴沉，看不见富士山。在淡季，山中湖方圆几百里没有任何餐厅营业，只能去便利店买食物当晚餐。不过第二天早上老板做的日式早餐很好吃，包括配咖啡的巧克力。房间日式的，比较干净，但浴室汤池里的水太烫了，根本无法泡。将就一晚的话还是可以的，性价比不算高，不知道是不是因为中国新年涨价的关系

大巴山中湖旭日丘站下车，下来往湖的反向走50米就能看到庭园茶寮的招牌。庭园非常漂亮，住在这里感觉很惬意。一定要吃早餐和怀石料理晚餐，味道完美，做得非常精致，晚餐的烤肉和刺身都特别好吃，体会到其他客人评价的什么叫吃饭送住宿了哈哈。下午4点到10点可以泡温泉，自行车环湖回来泡一泡相当解乏，痘痘都消了。总之就是完美！还想再去。

一生难忘”

一家三口经营的家庭式民宿，门前有个别致的日式庭院，养了一池锦鲤，下榻当天刚好下过小雪，满地都是温柔的白色。两个晚上都只有我们一房住客，老爷子和老奶奶非常热情，他们的儿子虽然有点中年冷漠宅男的气质，但人也很好，有问必答。一家人悉心给我们安排晚餐和浸浴时间，那两晚的料理几乎是整趟旅程里最好吃的（随餐还配了一壶梅酒和果汁），几乎是毕生难忘的程度。 酒店景观看不到富士山，但是距离山中湖只有几分钟步行距离（离「山中湖旭日丘」巴士站也很近，从这里去富士吉田转乘高速巴士回东京新宿，或者往南坐去御殿场也很方便），我们两个早上都步行到湖边看了著名的「红富士」日出。离店那天老爷子还热情开车载我们环山中湖一周，带我们到巴士不抵达的山中湖富士观景台拍照；因为我们要寄行李衣服到东京，他还把我们载到老远的富士吉田宅急便门店，实在是太感人了……唯一的不足是酒店房间的洗手台只有冷水，冬天里有点难受，不过整体还是超预期的满分！

这里的餐饮如此出色，食物的质量足以比美高级餐厅！所以你一定要订这里的晚餐！住宿费在外面只能吃到相等质量的怀石料理，所以你的住宿是免费的！ 房间是传统的和式风格，面积很大，干湿分开。有个小阳台可以一边沐浴阳光，一边看到小花园的小桥流水，一边品着绿茶！床品质量很好，训觉很舒服。 有两间公共的温泉，可以以房间为单位去泡温泉，设施齐全。 房主一家三口热情好客，尽管伯伯阿姨不会说英文也会热心介绍他自己打理的花园。房主英文交流没问题，主动解答住宿的问题。

性价比极高的民宿”

由于大雪，美丽的庭院被遮挡了，家庭式的民宿非常好，早餐丰盛，步行五分钟就能到山中湖，再走几步就到了一家二十四小时便利店。老板很淳朴，价格相当好，还有温泉可以泡澡，适合家庭出游。
