Ottimo albergo in un'ottima posizione!!!!”
Sorprendentemente economico in una posizione di Manhattan eccezionale. Unico difetto check-in alle 15 e cortesia dellareception.
personale molto scortese, stanze sporche e buie.”
Basic but ideal. Quiet for being in the middle of things.”
No frills, except for a lovely looking pool that we did not use. Clean, older property but in an ideal location. We walked here with baggage from the cruise terminal. It was a bit of a slog for our older cousins but not too bad--easy walk for most people. And then an easy walk to so many interesting places. Staff was friendly. When we were checking out, managed told us they had a car service to the airport that was much better than a cab or Uber and he was right.
Very disappointed with the hotel! The picture on the website does not justify the actual picture. We were given a room next to Housekeeping. Very noisy and no consideration for guests. The reception staff were there to do the job. Do not have a friendly or helpful attitude!!! Further there is no free wifi and use of computer is charged by seconds!
In this day and age you should not have to pay $5.95 dollars daily for wifi”
Excellent location for Times Square and exploring tourist spots via tours 👍
The location was simply fantastic, a short walking distance to the Times Square and main shopping n tourist belt area. Café below for meals very convenient. The front desk staff extremely polite and even allowed room extension without any charge. Will definitely stay and recommend to friends too !
Thank you for staying with the Travel Inn Hotel
Great location, value for money and staff very helpful. I would recommend an overhaul of the fitness room/center, but then again who's really in NYC to stay inside a hotel to workout. It was pretty loud due to it was the wkd of the Puerto Rican parade. And a lot of patrons and performers were also staying in the hotel that wkd. But, everyone was really great and celebrating family-friendly atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this hotel if your looking to be in the heart of the city. And savings on your wallet/pocketbook!

Nice hotel - good locationi”
Nice stay. Some challenges, but they were easily resolved with a kind helpful staff. The wifi were better in the main-building (same as reception was located). Rather special is that you eat your breakfast and lunch at the nearest neighbour - which also is administered by Travel Inn - together with visitors coming in from street. But it worked - and have a nice and friendly staff. Overall we will not hesitate to bill a new stay in Travel Inn, when we come back to NYC in the future Thank you for a pleasent stay Pleasent couple from Faroe Islands
This was a great hotel, much better than I expected for the price. Café downstairs was reasonably priced with good food and room service provided by nearby restaurants was great and very, very reasonably priced. AND it had a pool which was perfect for the days we were there. 4 blocks from Times Square, what else can you ask for?? I will definitely stay there the next time I visit NYC.
Our stay at The Travel Inn was perfect! From the price of room and the low cost of parking to the very helpful staff...we couldn't of asked for any more for our first time in New York. Subway couple blocks away, Times Square very close, and a friendly and good diner right next door. We had street facing room and barely heard a thing. Hotel room, lobby and pool very clean. One more great thing about The Travel Inn...check out is at 12:00 but they let you keep your car ther until 3:00. A+++
What a find!”
It was excellent. Our room had recently been refurbished and was amazing. Really clean, comfortable beds (we had a double double room). Our room was to the front of the hotel but the traffic did not bother us. Great to have a pool to chill out at after spending a hot day pounding the streets. Couldn't fault its location. Excellent supermarket just up the road (The Food Emporium)and deli next door for breakfast plus restaurants nearby. Didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment on their food. Room had microwave and fridge which was handy.
Not Bad but no internet”
If you need internet, don't book here. Not only do you have to pay for internet ( I bucked up and paid $6.USD/day but still couldn't get online. Maybe one webpage an hour or two and then kicked off again. Complained and complained to no avail. They said there was no problem ... must be my laptop. But my laptop never had an issue before or after. Close to the cruise terminal is about the only good thing to say about it.
thank you for staying with the Travel Inn Hotel
The only positive point to this review was that the female receptionist was nice and the luggage storage was free both before and after check in. The rest of it was just a really bad experience. I booked and paid online thinking that when we checked in, we wouldn’t have to pay for anything. Admittedly it was about £200 cheaper than their regular prices but still, as a paying customer you would expect the same treatment regardless. Checked in, the male receptionist demanded that I give him a credit card. He’s swiped my card, chucked a piece of paper at me and told me my room number, we walk across the lobby to the lift and he starts shouting to me in front of other guests that my card is declined. So I panic and do a shuffle of shame to the front desk where he says “oh it’s okay now it’s gone through.” Get to the room and find out we have to pay for WiFi, which is slower than slow, the room decor is that of the 1800s and the bathroom is held together with what looks like chewing gum.
Good morning Emma We are very sorry that your stay with us wasn't a pleasant one, please let us make it up to you with a 1 Night Complementary stay in a newer room. We want to please our guest in all we do at the Travel Inn Hotel. My name is Nancy Gonzalez from Reservation Department.
Good value central NYC hotel w/ friendly staff”
We got the double double room w/ en suite for 3 nights = GBP £184.83 (USD $294.78) I would really recommend this - not only is it a great price (plus 4% cashback via Topcashback/Quidco) in a really convenient location/ Midtown Manhattan. There are 2 x subway stations (Port Authority & Times Square) within 10mins walk and a few blocks from the actual Times Square. There are also local amenities nearby (ie; CVS Pharmacy/ Supermarket, Bakery, Cafe, Fast food etc) - all within 5mins walk. It was really convenient to go everywhere as all the express trains stop @ Times Square station. Hotel was clean and quiet- fridge & microwave in rooms and house-keeping included. Pool on rooftop (but it was too cold in Nov!) and gym available. Friendly, helpful staff- they never charged us $6 per day for internet, always gave us the code for free. They have secure-rooms in parking lot to store luggage after check-out at no extra charge.
Third time is most definitely not a charm.”
This was our third stay at this hotel. We were sadly disappointed. The dollar amount for the room was outrageous considering the following. The heat in the room was stifling to the point where we had to sleep with the window open. That,, along with the fact that our room was next to the elevator and the most uncomfortable mattriess I've ever had the misfortune to lay on, meant very poor sleeping conditions for us. The four mouse traps under the bed were also a very nice touch to the already mediocre room. Oh and I almost forgot to mention the hair that was found in the "clean" bedding that we were expected to sleep in. UGH...To make this worse, when concerns were brought too the attention of the fron desk staff, the response, especially from the femail stafff (morning of Dec. 14, 2014) was rude and uncaring. She couldn't even bother to get up from where she was sitting to have a conversation with me. Instead she sat and proceeded to shout her response to me, all while the vacuum was running in the lobby. That was especially frustrating considering the $350 that we basically wasted on this dumpy hotel. When I told her we would not be returning she shrugged and went back to her desk work. Very disappointed by the entire experience, will most definitely not be returning, and will shout from the rooftop to all that listen to not waste their hard earned dollars on this overrated dump! Take your money and stay where they care about their patrons. Do your research and listen to the reviewers. 3 stars....I think NOT!
3 night stay”
I enjoyed my stay and even commented to the owner how much I enjoyed it up until the credit card I used to check in was cloned. I only use this card to check into hotels just for this very reason. I was phoned by my card company as someone tried to buy $1000 of groceries, had it not of been for the diligence of the fraud dept in blocking the card I might have got a nasty surprise on my return. I brought the fact that I only used this card at the hotel with the staff but they were totally uninterested. If I believed someone who was working for me was ripping off my customers I would not only want to know but I would take action. The mice reported on other sites were true as we found a trap under our bed but we didn't see any mice. My entire holiday in the USA was spoiled by the credit card issue.
expensive for what you got, clean, staff distant”
adequate to our needs but too expensive for the beds. beds were bad. elevators did not consistently function. lighting was wholly inadequate. having mini fridge was nice. water was very hot , showers were good. noise level not bad for ny. felt mostly safe. front desk staff were disinterested in guests.
Bad internet, bad room condition”
So terrible and horrible experience! There had a little rat in my room! This was the first time my parents stay in NYC. The rat made us so scary. Even though the staff changed the room immediately for us, but we also dissatisfied with this situation. The price of the room was good but it was not an excuse for having a rat in the room! I won't recommend this hotel strongly.
Pleasantly surprised ”
A bit pricey for the hotel facilities however New York hotels are expensive anyway.
