    The staff was exceptional. Location is great.
    Needs a remodel, bed was rock hard and to low to floor. Heater was either really hot or cold. Turned on ceiling fan that helped. Tv is entirely to small.

    Bed was old and very uncomfortable. When I checked in they didn’t give me Wi-Fi code if they have Wi-Fi and cell service here is horrible!!! So if tracking and need Wi-Fi this is not the place.

    I have stayed here before and loved it!
    On this I was given a room in the older motel style section and the odor in the room was awful. I wanted to switch but there was no place else so I stuck it out. Also, the difficulty in getting someone to check me in both times.

    No stay as was bait & switch with no refund. Beware!”

    No check-in staff, key in box, room was not what I reserved, not able to reach anyone I departed without staying, later asked for refund but they kept my money including pet cleaning fee for a non-stay. The place is a tired, old motel, not as advertised. Very disappointing, beware!

    The room is well furbished. The check-in was very smooth. The staff was very friendly and efficient.
    The most front entrance of the hotel was blocked by overgrown bushes when we came from south side.

    Rocky Mountain Inn one of the best things about staying in Paonia/West Elks Wine country.”

    We love the location in Paonia/West Elks wine region. We especially love that it is possible to reserve a dog-friendly room. The beautiful hidden outdoor area is a delight. This is our third stay at Rocky Mountain Inn and we love it. We also loved the Joe Cocker curtains, reminding us that he had his Mad Dog Ranch nearby.
    This time we were in the front motel area rather than back by the green area. I'm sure that couldn't be helped.

    We had expected better quality for the price and had no idea the train was so close by.”

    Ethan, who met us, was very helpful. He related our concerns to the out-of-state owner who returned our money. No complaints there.
    The mattress was so old we realized we would not be able to sleep. Additionally, the train tracks were very close by and the noise would also have kept us up. We decided to find other lodging.

    It is not appropriate to force a guest to stay at a room with a temperature that can make them sick.”

    The temperature in the room at night was permanently set at 64 degrees, and was not changeable, since the thermostat was in a locked clear box. Because of this I got very sick. I didn't have a sweatshirt, since I dressed for 90 degree heat.
