I needed a place to rest and sleep. I booked this hotel, checked in and went up to my room..”
I was very tired. So, I fell asleep right away. The bed was comfortable. I awoke in the morning feeling well rested and to a clean, spacious and well-lit room. I appreciated that there were a cloth iron with an ironing board.
PAY ATTENTION TO REVIEWS & you get what you pay for!”
PROS- staff members were nice. I got charged extra for parking when it was already included when I booked. CONS- 1st room we were assigned to had a strong MOLDING SMELL. I went to ask front desk to give us a new room. He gave us a new room. Wasn't the best. The hotel is run down with many issues such as loose door locks and cosmetic issues such as peeling paint, holes in the flooring. The breakfast they serve is very basic and they dont serve coffee after 830 AM...really? The beds are horrible and woke up with back aches after sleeping on the bed. I give this hotel 1/2 star only not even a 1 star. Totally not recommended.
Not sure how they are not shut down by health department”
I ve never stayed in the worst place then this. every room ( i had to switch 3 ) is full of mold and infested with bugs . Bathroom faucets were broken and water was running non stop . The AC filters are absolutely filthy and looks like havent been changed in years. Walls in the bathroom are so rotten and just covered in paint but it you touch it it starts to crumble. I took pictures just so i can send them to Miami Health department and hopefully none of their guests will get mold poisoning. Staff pretends like this is all normal (including filthy filters and bugs all over the room ) . Absolutely disgusting !
bad smell in the rooms, unprofessional receptionist attitude
No good service ”
Never worth staying dear
Didn't honor paid reservations, cannot rate hotel then”
Although 3 rooms for a group were fully paid through Agoda, receipt in hand shown by the guests, the 3 guests were rejected at the front desk at midnight after 30 hours of flying from Singapore, reason given was that the person who paid for the rooms, me, was not one of the guests, although it was pointed out at the moment of the reservation who the guest will be. My clients had to hop around seeking hotel at midnight for over 2 hours. Found out that the 3 rooms were previously given to somebody else, and were no longer available. Very disappointing experience. Hope Agoda knows how to handle that issue.
I paid a fare of 120,15 (including breakfast, taxes and reservation commissions); 18,35/day were reserve commissions!! (a rob!!) breakfast was pitiful! First day my room was not serviced (even though I left room at 9:30 in the morning - no sign left at the door). Hotel was swarming with "unfortunate" people, looked like a homeless refuge; no conduct management at all; use of common areas at will; people smoking in the isles, use of pool area outside of hour permites, until 12:30 am people laughing and screaming; all ice machines broken...Simply UNBELIEVABLE!! Should get my money back!
The reception girl Maria (Latin or Italian) ruin my stay in the Rodeway hotel.”

Run away, FAST!”
This is probably the worse hotel on the planet earth. Two days straight a baby was crying next door to the point I had to be moved. Then no wifi and hotel staffs attitude was "oh too bad" this property requires you to use more of your choice hotel award points than most. When in reality should be given free just for the fact it's a straight dump
Cheap and good
Very good value
Very Unfriendly people at the front desk.. ”
Great location but not worth the price. ”
I was here for a music festival. I would say that the quality of the room was not worth the price. The cable TV had issues with reception and you automatically get charged to use the safe. The parking for the garage is expensive at 8 dollars a day. Something I would expect from downtown prices. The breakfast was pretty terrible with a super tiny breakfast hall to eat in and a short 2 hour window to eat in. The selection of food was minuscule. The good things about this hotel is that it's super close to the train station which can get you to downtown in no time. And from there it is a short cab ride to south beach. This hotel is one stop away from the univesity and South maimi has a lot to offer. Outside of the hotel there are tons of restaurants and shops for everything you could need. The area feels safe and secure.
It was good since the central location allowed us to run our errands fast.
was very nice staff is very friendly and service was good
70s/80s relic, bad service, expensive”
I'm happy I only paid Agoda special rate, instead of the regular rate that was twice the amount. The room decor is ugly and tired. Broken lamp, broken alarm clock... Despite the already expensive rates the hotel still wants to pull the trick of hidden charges - $2 for the "courtesy" safe in the room, $8 to park a car, $50 to check in before 3pm. Seriously? Many of the other patrons of this hotel were rude, impatient and generally obnoxious. The front desk typically only had one person on, so due to being overworked and all the aforementioned patrons, they were very irritable themselves. Oh, and the free shuttle to the airport only starts at 8am, so forget about using it for any early morning flights.
It was a very bad choice to reserve rooms at this hotel. When I arrive in night time they have left 2 rooms and they have mildew and there was very bad odor (it was 31Th of December). The concierge man couldn't change for me so I had to found an other room. Next day I came beck to talk to the manager but he didn't want to help me with anything, even to tell me his name. He said he doesn't have to tell me his name and he said no money will be return for me even if i was not satisfied because it was my choice to leave the hotel.
nice place closed to everything, shopping ”
nice, simple, spartan, greatly located, friendly staff, ideal for visitors in a budget, desiring an econmic place to stay and so shopping in one of the best malls in FL. Ideal place for Latino visitors from all the Americas, besides USA. Renan T
