Just the best!”

Amsterdam hotels can be very pricey and quite hit and miss. We were so lucky to finally decide on Hotel Roemer! Situated in a lovely neighbourhood right in the heart of the museum district but not too far from the central area, we enjoyed leisurely strolls from the front door to everywhere we needed to be. Our room was in the annexe building across the street and was very spacious with a nicely appointed bathroom. The main hotel building has a gorgeous rear terrace which was a tranquil space to sit with a drink on an evening after a day of sightseeing. Although we didn’t eat at the hotel, there was a small restaurant facility if required. Our favourite thing was the ‘honesty bar’.....get a drink of any variety just make sure you note it on the bar slip! Undoubtedly though, the best thing about the hotel are the fabulous staff! They were so courteous, happy and helpful - cannot praise them enough! We LOVED this hotel and will definitely return. Thank you for a fantastic time! :-)

Wonderful boutique hotel in Amsterdam”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Roemer Hotel. The location is very convenient - easy walk to all destinations (although very close to tram station, we opted to walk) but enough away from the noise of the busier streets just a block away. The bed was very comfortable, and room and bath were modern and clean. Towels were plush and large, and complimentary robes were available. We stayed in room #23, which had a balcony overlooking the hotel's garden courtyard. We opted for the breakfast and it was well worth it. Very nice buffet, great coffee, and additional options (omelets, made-to-order eggs, waffles and perfect Danish pancakes) were available. All of the people in the dining area and front desk were friendly and helpful. We asked for restaurant recommendations and all were excellent. We appreciated the little touches like carafes of mint or lemon infused water at the front desks and snacks in the dining room.We also took advantage of the discount at the bike rental shop nearby. We would definitely stay here again. We had booked the hotel for ourselves and another couple we were traveling with and they loved it as well.

AMAZING”

Booking very late, we were not expecting much - however, Roemer provided way above our expectations! The room was very large and spacious, yet still cosy (for a deluxe double), fitted with beautiful furnishings and a lovely modern bathroom. The staff were always extremley friendly and very attentive, especially the receptionist Camille. As it was my birthday the hotel suprised me and put balloons in my room with a lovely message from the team and a free drinks voucher for two!! Lovely!! The location, being right in the museum quater, is so convienient, yet the hotel being on a sort of side street, made the rooms very quiet and extremley relaxing - a great location to get away from the hustle and bustle whilst still being very close to all your needs. There are plenty of amazing resteraunts nearby - even more if you use the hotel's bike hire service. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone as it was one of the highlights of my trip!

one-night biz trip stay”

the hotel is beautiful, rooms clan and nice, good situation and very comfortable bed. It's quirky that some rooms are in a building across the street with steep stairs to enter, but definitely a good hotel. my only issue is with the wifi connection: slow and intermittent. Sometimes it would just cut out and pop back on. Usually not a huge issue, but as I was there for work, and had to stay connected to deal with emails and Skype communication, this quickly became frustrating. I will definitely suggest the Roemer to any other traveller, and hope they can fix their connectivity for my next trip.

Great location and value for money ”

Staff at the Roemer were so helpful from the moment we arrived - happy for us to leave bags as we arrived well before check in so that we could go out and explore, they were happy for us to print boarding passes and gave us jugs of fresh milk and biscuits to have with tea in our room. We stayed in the new part, across the road from reception. Room was to a very high spec with a fab shower, comfy beds as well as being very quiet & spacious. Around 5 minutes to walk to the museums in one direction and the theatre district in the other it’s great for tourism. We didn’t have breakfast at the Roemer as it seemed quite expensive but there’s a fantastic bakery on the way to the museum district as well as a supermarket if you want to save some pennies!

Most Genuine and Excellent Hotel Service Staff”

My partner and I were on our honeymoon trip and unfortunately misplaced my passport in the hotel. Even though I realised it only later in the evening, the hotel was very prompt to reach out to me via massages thru Agoda and Email. I need to also applaud to Alexander who spottee and stayed behind in the evening to help returning my passport. The incident aside, Alexander was one the more genuine hotel staff we have come across thus far in our visit to Europe. He was friendly and very helpful to guide and share travel tips with us. Big Thanks to Roemer Team.

The room was cozy and staffs were so nice and kind.”

It was my first time to visit Amsterdam for the IBC exhibition at Amsterdam RAI, and the hotel was pretty close from the convention center(only 20~ mins by Tram). Tram is closed enough to take every day. The room was not big, but it was okay to stay for a week. They have an air conditioning and heating system which is working perfectly, and hot water from the shower comes out really well. Most of the European hotels that I visited did not have an elevator and refrigerator, but this place have an elevator and refrigerator which is really convenient. Just let you know, they clean the room after 3pm. If you come back to your room before 3pm, it won't be cleaned at all. The staffs were really nice and kind. They will treat you well. I will stay here for the next year too.

Great boutique hotel in great location”

Lovely room with outdoor courtyard, huge bath with spa jets, quite and comfortable bed.

A spa bath and into a very comfortable, clean bed was heaven. Great location for those wanting to go to the museums. You can have breakfast or room service or eat around the corner at their Hotel Vondel which has a lovely dining room. Food is average, but then all food we ate in Amsterdam was average. I'm comparing it with France and it doesn't rate. But the Dutch speak English, there's lots to see, including the renovated Reijksmuseum and Rembrandt's House, not to mention the canal trips.

Lovely clean, air conditioned room in a great location, just 2-3mins walk from the local tram stop (Leidseplein) which goes straight to centre. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Hotel offers to hold baggage both before check-in and after check-out which was very useful to make the most of our time in Amsterdam. Would book again for sure. Thank you!

Nice hotel. Close to Rijksmuseum & Van Gogh museum”

Good service. Nice decor. Upmarket location.

Flight cancelled so was only able to make final night. Great staff on check in though was rushed to check out from a different staff member, seemed to be the norm. Good little bar/lounge setup. Nice, upmarket location, more Oud Zuid than Oud West in feel which was preferable. Central location for the touristy areas around Leidseplein to the North yet close to Museum quarter and not far from Vondelpark. Would recommend.

Love this hotel!!”

We had a fabulous room, no 21, with a huge terrace which was lovely to sit out. The room was spacious and the bed super comfortable although I would prefer slightly less lumpy pillows! I am used to duck down pillows not synthetic, which I don't mind without lumps. The bathroom was spacious and the shower excellent. Throughout the hotel the carpets are quite worn and need replacing and there was a stain on the vanity stool. The staff however were just wonderful; so friendly, accommodating and very helpful. Our room hadn't been cleaned, the first day because she came late in the afternoon and we had just got back from a tiring day out so wanted to rest. Then the second day she didn't come at all to clean the room and I had to ask for the bin to be emptied and fresh towels, but they were very apologetic. I would definitely recommend, despite the couple of small issues and I would certainly stay again. I have to say, the best hotel scrambled egg I have ever had!

Surprisingly nice hotel with very friendly staff in great location.”

Very nice hotel tucked into a beautiful residential area off the main city streets where various restaurants and shopping are available within a few blocks. Spacious room with well appointed décor, very clean, shower and full bath tub with over sized towels and bathrobes. Room included small loveseat, table and chairs convenient for laptop work station. Complimentary coffee and tea provided, as well as snacks for additional charge. Staff was always friendly and greeted us coming and going from the hotel. Highly recommend this hotel and location and would stay again.

Fab hotel with wonderful staff!”

Lovely hotel on a pretty little side road. Very convienient for the tram & within walking distance for all the sights. All the reception staff were exceptionally helpful & kind, sorry I didn't get the other names but Mortis was particularly gracious. There were balloons, sweets & a free drink for my daughter whose 21st birthday we were celebrating. I wish we were staying for longer as I would've loved to enjoy the beautiful terrace garden! Would definitely pick this hotel again. Thank you all. If there was one small negative it would be that the hotel is a little pricey but I guess we visited at peak time & I'm sure it's on par with similar hotels. Our room was in a building across from the main hotel & here the room could possibly do with a bit of an update ( voile curtains need replacing). Wonderful stay

Lovely hotel with good staff and location”

Location, Beds, Clean room

As we checked in the hotel's staff was very efficient and welcoming. The payment was at checkout and we didn't have any problems with the payment and such. The rooms are very clean and tidy, and are cleaned every day (unless you asked them not to). The beds are very comfortable and the room is big and clean. The only disadvantage i felt was that we had some sort of leak on the floor and the walls were a bit only and the paint wasnt exactly new. In the grand total the hotel was the best we could ask for, with great rooms and very good staff and a perfect location. We will defensibly come again.

Amazingly big room for the double bed for European standard. Though I was in the basement, I was not too bothered by it. Had both a shower and a bathtub which was real nice. Cosy room, cute facilities around the hotel. I feel like home and staff were very helpful. Location, Location, Location! It’s in Leidseplein area so close to the main shopping and food area. Walkable to the tram. Though it’s still in its residential area so it’s quiet but in the center of it all. Also so close to Vondelpark where you can enjoy a serene walk or jog. Definitely stay here!
