It was past 5 in the morning there were person/people kept on knocking the door for hardly 5 to 7 minutes. A nonstop knocking of the door which was a terrible experience especially prior that day we didn’t have a decent rest as we travelled from South of Cebu to Cebu City to Davao City. I addressed it that morning to the receptionist and she just said they will checked the CCTV but to no avail we didn’t get any update on that situation. It didn’t end there. The second night after midnight around 12:15 to 12:40am people on that floor who were checked somewhere close to us were terribly noisy. Laughing at the hallway, there was even one of them who screamed, talking loudly by the sound of it we assumed they were drunk. Definitely there were a lot of them. I didn’t address it to the receptionist anymore since on the first complaint we didn’t there are no updates at all. Third, no internet at room 428 at all. I informed them and they sent a staff but the moment you will get inside the room the connection was gone. So, from Friday until Monday we weren’t able to utilize facilities that were part of what we paid for. Lastly, the food. No matter what time you will get to the Marina Tuna for breakfast their food is as cold as cold water. The woman who gets the information of the guests was rude and impolite (for preference: she was wearing eyeglasses). The only positive side were. A. The place was clean and spacious. We commend their housekeeping. They were the one who checked our room during check out and told us we left one stuff inside. Which we were glad. B. The middle aged man who cleaned the porch of the hotel. He was very polite and helpful. I suggest you have to emphasize to all your future guests to observe in making public spaces like hallways to keep their noises as they are disturbing people who went there to rest and who paid as well.

The location was very near a hospital and schools so public transport was not hard to come by. And most taxi drivers know where the hotel is so it’s not a problem getting back to the hotel. Decent breakfast in the morning, and very good wifi service. Comfy bed and very clean bathrooms. The only negative might bw the airconditioning as I’m not sure it can handle the hottest days, but it was a bit cool during our stay so we didn’t notice. Great value and highly recommended for a budget stay in Davao.

There was a small hiccup with breakfast, the front desk or whoever prepares breakfast list forgot to include our room number on the list, so the staff had to call and confirm it. It was a minor issue, but I hope they double-check next time. Overall, it was a great stay, and I’ll definitely be coming back!

Despite the heavy rains on Christmas Day and the day before, the strategic location of the unit made everything hassle-free. Being so close to the mall meant we could easily access everything we needed without any trouble. One of the highlights was the balcony, which offers a stunning view of the Venetian Grand Canal, adding a magical touch to our stay. We had an absolutely wonderful time and will surely return. Fortunately, Rogen Inn had available rooms and we immediately booked it thru Agoda. The room was clean and I love how big the bed was. All the staff were friendly and warm. We had a good night sleep.

Staff is very courteous and attends to needs/requests as promptly as they can. My only comment is on the linens, or bedsheets. I just wish they were whiter and crisper. Nonetheless, it smelled clean so its okay. It can certainly be improved. Also, I hope they put foot bath towels instead of rugs because it is more absorbent. Overall, Rogen Inn is really a practical and good choice.
