Oh my god the mosquitos ”
The people working there are so nice and the breakfast is really good and it is less then 10 minutes from the airport. But there are so many mosquitos. I know this isnt something you can immediately do anything about except for mosquito nets (which they have) but I had to abandon breakfast because I was sitting in a swarm of mosquitos. When you go outside to the showers, you have a swarm of mosquitos following you. I cant stress enough how nice the people were to me though!
Mosquitoes and mouse racing on the roof”
Only when you need to stay for a night to catch your flight, otherwise, I would not suggest. Good points: close to the airport (10 mins walk), friendly staff and speak good English, simple but nice breakfast included in the room rate. Drawbacks: mouse racing on the roof, too many mosquitoes and the bathroom was not clean.
Great place to stay if needing the airport- not close to much but there are a couple of food places nearby. Wouldn't recommend if wanting to explore central Yangon. Thousands of mosquitos but amazing mosquito nets so you are protected- and it's Asia- there are just annoying bugs, you just deal with it. Great breakfast- Peanut butter avaliable!! And the staff are lovely.
Good Location, Helpful Staff and, ok breakfast”
- Very easy to get here from the airport (10-15 min walk) - Near the bus station ( 15 mins drive) - There is a restaurant right at the corner. - The staff helped to book a bus ticket, grab a taxi, suggest things around the city and I lost my toothpaste. They went to grocery and brought it for us. - The staff is there 24/7. - Their English is brilliant. - The breakfast is banana, eggs, bread and coffee. - Yes, it has mosquito but they provide spray, coil and, net to protect. - They have hot baht, soap, shampoo and hair dryer. - We can leave our belongings and take a shower there although already checked out. - We were happy staying there and will go back again :)
Quiet location, close to the airport and to the bus to the city (we just couldn't find a bus stop to go back so we needed to get a grab), you can take a shower after check out for $1, basic breakfast, don't leave anything sweet in your room as you'll get thousands of ants, comfortable bed
Good for a quick layover”
Good value for a one night stay before or after an early or late flight. It’s a bit dark to walk from airport so it’s probably better to use Grab. The bed and room are fine, but the toilet and shower can be cleaner. Overall it’s good value.
No problem for me walk at night, there a lot light from building, restaurant, food stall, and cars, not too dark. They got net for bed, breakfast with fried eggs, one slice banana, coffees or green tea. Very reasonable price.
Good for the price”
If you are adapt to countryside living, here is good enough for its price : ) Own room would has less mosquitoes than share room. And be aware the bathroom won’t be fancy😂 btw, take Grab here if you come after 18:30, though it’s near, the way here get really dark.
Very helpful staff”
The staffs are very friendly and helpful. I arrived at the hostel at 8am and they allowed us to check in immediately although the check-in time is 2pm. About the location, it takes only 3 mins to the airport by bus.
We booked room with shower, paid 17 $. We get tiny room with no bathroom. Apparently something was mixed and there was no room with bathroom left. It was only for one night , we came late afternon and we had flight very early next morning so we stayed. Room was clean but really tiny with no furniture exept bed and small table, good we didn' have to unpack. All place was full of mosquitos, never saw anything like this, in our room we killed over 20 and there were still some. In the shower, in the toilet, there were everywere. One of our worste stay in 4 month trip.
Affordable and worth of paid”
Very good guest house for what you paid, they should clean the building( I stayed at room g) and noticed living room area is very dusty , should have ashray and garage bins outside. Those won't cost them a lot of money but help a lot of cleaniess, over all ,very nice guest house , workers are funny, they sometime sit with guests table and played music or talked loadly with their phones, but they smiled a lot and nice workers ,however no experiences obviously
Loved the vibe”
Good location. Near the airport. Good service. I just hoped we can have bonded with the people/staff in the hostel. Good value for money. Problems are the mosquitoes. But they provided some spray and mosquito net for it.
If you’re arriving late in Yangon - BOOK HERE! It takes so long to get into the city and it’s just not worth the hassle if all you need is sleep. It’s muchhhh easier to get to the bus terminal from here as well - so if you plan on landing in Yangon and heading immediately down south, this is also going to save you a ton of travel time. The bed is comfy (room had more mosquitos than I would like - it definitely had more than any other room I’ve had in Myanmar since - but there is a net around the bed and I didn’t get bitten), breakfast is ok (egg + toast + fruit), and the staff are really fun to joke around with. I had hot water w pretty awesome pressure and they provided shampoo and soap, so no complaints about the shower. For the price, you just can’t beat it, and it’s a godsend if you fall under one of the categories I mentioned above. It is SO CLOSE to the airport. 10 minute walk or 1,700 kyat by taxi (this is the price we got from Grab). I’ll be staying here again when I leave!
Good hostel, close to airport.”
I had a nice stay at this hostel. Breakfast time was very early in my opinion - a little too early if you're not an early-bird. There was a new office being built. Staff are friendly. It's clean, etc. The location is just minutes walk from the airport, so a great location! Just getting to the city centre will require a taxi, or otherwise half an hour to get to the train or bus station.
Two night stay”
I stayed for two nights in total at Roly's Hostel. If, and only if you wish to be near the airport, then I highly recommend this place as a budget accomodation and just a few short minutes walk from the airport. The owner is friendly and knowledgable, staff are friendly and it's fairly clean. When I was there, a new reception was being built. For going to the city centre, the bus and train is in walking distance, and about 200 MMK (but it might take a bit of time to walk there) or taxis are easily available, at about 30 ~ 40 times the price, around 6K ~ 8K depending on location and negotiating to go to the city centre area. I took the train the first morning and then the bus the second, but both nights the trains and busses had already finished, so I had to take a taxi. Then it was very easy to get to the airport, about ten minutes by foot if you don't rush or faster if you do, so I was easily able to get my early morning flight by just walking to the airport.
Nice and cosy hostel at the airport ”
I just stayed there for one night to be close to the airport. It is a very nice and clean hostel. You can get hot and cold water all the time and lots of useful information. The owners were very hearty. Sadly the wifi didn't work that good but I would definitely stay there again!
Right next to Yangon AIrport”
Perfect place to rest and sleep for a quick nap before next adventure. Staffs are friendly and accomodating. Breakfast is good. Please be prepared with mozzies repellent, there is a great number of mosquitoes in the area.
Mosquito infested place. Avoid unless you need to be close to the airport. You can walk to the airport and so avoid the Yangon traffic. Facilities here are “basic” if you know what I mean. Very aggressive and prevalent mosquitoes. Staff are nice as per usual in Myanmar.
Just need to set right expectation ”
This hostel serve its purpose being close to airport if you only need a transition when you arrive very late or need to depart super early . Mainly for backpacker though I booked a room with queen size bed for myself . I will call this a village home stay for backpacker . Everything is basic , except that they have a brand new air conditioner . The table and chair are Ikea basic furniture . Cleanliness is acceptable but the bed or the room is pretty smelly . Breakfast is also basic (bread and coffee/ tea) but they will fry an egg for you and serve you a banana . The boys can speak pretty good English and they were very sincere and friendly . A very warm place to stay for the start of your journey in Myanmar .
Don’t expect big”
Location is quite ok for your last day (close to airport) but there are so many mosquitoes
