Quality accommodation in a very good location”
The studio apartment was very modern and had almost everything necessary for a pleasant visit. They even let you use the clothes washing machine in the basement. Having a sofa bed instead of a regular bed was nice during the day, but there was no table to sit at to eat or use the computer. Only on the last day did I notice a shelf I could pull out that worked a little like a desk. The location is excellent. Very near the fish market and other central areas of Bergen, but on a quiet side street away from the crowds.

Central location and value for money but the staff was not very helpful”
Received an email with the check in details (access code to the hotel and our reservation number for check-in) but when I reached the hotel, the access code was wrong. Managed to get into the hotel as some guests were heading out for dinner.
Not only that, the check-in machine was not working. We managed to retrieve our booking but it can't program the key cards for us. Without the card, we can't go pass the reception area or go to our rooms. Called the hotel hotline for assistance and the hotel assistant manager, Ingrid was not very helpful. Told her we have tried a couple of times but the machine was not working and asked her if any one can help us with it and she said no?
After a few calls with her, she said she will come down to help us but will take her an hour to reach. We went for dinner while she resolve the problem for us so we only managed to check in around 10 plus.
However, the upside was that the hotel was within walking distance to bryggen, fisherman wharf and floyen. Everything is good except the self check-in counter which screws up our check-in process.
