Short stay in Brisbane
Check in process was smooth and fast. Rooms were big n clean. Location is good as it is located in the shopping district. But during my checkout it was raining heavily, the reception or hotel staff did not assist me to book a taxi but instead she ask me to cross the street to the other side to grab a cab myself. I have 2 kids with me and also 5 luggages, we have to walk in the heavy rain n get drench before i manage to get a cab. That is the worse experience ever as i do not have the same problems with other hotels.

Well below expectations for the price
I am a very regular Brisbane traveller and decided to book this to try it out. I noted there was no gym or internet, and at $180 expected therefore a very upmarket result. However, the room itself was old, albeit clean, bathroom was dated, bed was very old and in poor condition, sagging a lot and the shower had barely any water flow. Yes it is very large, but absolutely does not compare to the meriton apartment for instance. I would expect the price for this apartment / hotel to be more like $100

Back to the same good stuff
After a 10 day cruise, I was back int his hotel. Still the same good stuff that I write on earlier review. We arrived early, so we dropped our luggages at the reception, and headed out. When we're back, the luggages were in our room already, a touch rarely done these days. I got different room, and I was excited about it, because the layout for many rooms are not standard/ repetitive. Though it turned out that my first room has better layout. The dryer in this second room is working, though maybe as intended it is not to 100% dry, so we still need to hang the clothes somewhat.

Spacious hotel with soul
The hotel is old but well maintained. In the age of contemporary design, it is pleasing to sometimes experience the old, classy style. The location couldn't be better. Just across the street is the mall. Food in Australia was expensive, but that Target store in the mall is worth checking, many many good deals inside. The hotel, or should I say apartment, is very spacious, complete with kitchen, and washer/dryer, too bad my dryer didn't function properly and I ended up hanging my clothes.
