Fair value for money”
Good location, free tuk-tuk to bts station. Recently some refurbishment done, however still the old sheets and cockroach.
Soi 8 hotel”
helpfull staff gave me an early check in and helped me when i needed assistance, thank you!
Very big suite with extra large bed and separate lounge are with all facilities ”
I would very much recommend this place for their hospitality, just one issue in my apartment was the bath is very worn out and needs replacing, the distance is few minutes walk to Sukhumvit Road but there is always a free ride available from the hotel.
Royal Asia satisfactory”
Royal Asia is satisfactory and reasonable value for money. I had a spacious room with a separate seating area which was good. The facilities are somewhat run-down and not well maintained. The pool roof shown in the web site is missing, making a swim a very hot experience. Breakfast is served in the hotel 2 doors along the street, and is a bit ordinary. The hotel is a fair way down Soi 8, but they run a free tuk-tuk to the end of the street.
Comfy, safe and good enough”
The good part: a prime location so food, shopping, public transport are nearby. Facilities are adequate for this price point. Clean and homely looking setup in my room with desk, power outlets and all in their right places. Wifi is reasonably ok but I preferred to use my own hotspot. To note: It's a bit far down the soi (alley). There are 2 7-11s along the way. Night time can be a bit dark but I wouldn't say it's unsafe. Lots of foot traffic because lots of hotels and condos on the same soi. Call the reception (save their number!) for their free shuttle up and down the alley.
Always enjoy staying at this hotel. The rooms are large and the location is quiet although a little far from Sukhumvit Road. The staff were friendly and my room was clean and ready for my arrival. I will stay here again.
Very close to the action”
I enjoyed my 5 day stay at the Royal Asia Lodge. The breakfast was sufficient and tasty. The room were clean but with the odd coachroach. It's about 15-20 mins walk from sukhumvit rd but, the hotel supplies a free shuttle to where the bts is. Look for what i paid, i was happy with the hotel.
This is a dated and worn hotel in an excellent area, especially if you intend to check out Nana Plaza. The hotel is very clean, but tired. For a solo guy it's great. I will return, but in this case, you get what you pay for. Oh, and the breakfast is nothing to brag about.
Very old hotel. The big rooms 65m. Is in other building. Like you go trough a warehouse for entrance”
Old rooms, very old aircions and noisy. Entrance is 2e building for deluxe rooms?? More then 10.000 bottles of water like warehouse. Lights in bathroom and kitchen? Broken, electric wires are hanging loose. Last time for me. I sent this on Facebook to everybody.
Location is end of the Soi”
If access to hotel from Station , you will have to walk until end of the Soi. Althiugh they have Tuktuk serice , it is hardly avilable. Equpments in the room was never new. If one night or short staying for rest , the hotel might be good as location is in silent.
Great location in that on the quiet end of the soi but close to lots of outside amenities. Only a 5 min walk to BTS but they also have Tuk Tuk service to take you there and back. Breakfast basic but ok. Wifi could be stronger but was ok. No gym or pool but value was in the room, which was clean and spacious. There is a park close by if wish to go for a run and outdoors work out. 10 min run from hotel, just head down soi 10 and can't miss. They rent bikes there as well at the park.
The hotel almost is in the dead end of street. The free tuck tuck service is useless as it does not run after sunset and hard to find tuck from Nana BTS end, the tuck driver was very impolite. We booked 4 rooms arrived 12:30 noon, they did not give us any room until 2pm. The receptionist lady fake an excuse that all rooms are booked and wait for the guests the check out. During that time I didn't see anyone check out and later I found the rooms were hardly occupied. There are bugs all around. The staff hardly wears smile. While booking they save complementary coffee but inside room they put price tag and charged us for consuming two coffee :(
Hotel is at top end of Soi 8 however hotel has 24 hour Tuk Tuk to drop off and Pick up. There is a pick up buzzer at Royal Express hotel at Sukhumvit road end. One unusual feature I experienced when checking out was that tea and coffee in room is not free and you have to pay for it - read the small print at reception when checking in. Swimming pool is small above ground type located on 9th floor of hotel next door.
This is a very decent option if you are looking to stay in this area. Tho you may look at the map and thinks its a little more out the way than alot of the other options (it is), the hotel has its own Tuk Tuk that was always there when I needed to run you to the end of the street. At the end of the street is (literally) Nana BTS. Else its 5-7 mins walk. What was find me. The 5 mins means it very quiet, & the street itself it devoid of the street life of all the other Sois, instead nice and civilized, but your only 1-2 mins walk to everything else....there is a cut through to Soi 4 and Nana Entertainment Complex and a party street. Hotel is quite small, what I prefer...some of the (touted on here ones) are MASSSIVE. Take you ages to get in/ot to your room etc...... Also has restaurant (didn't try it, but looked busy mornings), and other decent places to eat all on the street upto Sukhumvit. Room and hotel is old, as is the room, but spotlessly clean. Not run down. Excellent staff BOOK
Good for budget”
Rooms and location are very good considering the price
Royal Asia Lodge”
I always like it.
Dated but still Good!”
This hotel is old and dated but a great value for its location. It is clean and the staff is very attentive. I can't update the hotel, but the breakfast is very plain. They need to update that and get someone who can cook the eggs!
This hotel is near the end of Soi 8 but has a free tuk tuk shuttle to and from Sukhumvit road. A little far to walk but a good location a the hotel is in a quiet end of the Soi. I asked for and got an early check in, The staff were helpful and smiling. I got value for money as my room was exceptionally large and clean. Didn;t have time for breakfast as I had to leave at 0500. All in all a pleasant stay. I will go back again
We stay in different building, The Loft, and the room was large. It was clean but we would have liked larger pillows on the bed. nice, separate dining room which was comfortable and a Tuk Tuk service to tke you to Sukhumvit Rod. Good value for money. I will stay there again.
Fantastic value for money, excellent location.”
This was my 4th stay here and I will return again after Koh Chang and Siem Reap. I've already written two reviews and can't think of much else to add, this hotel is great value for money and the location in Soi 8 is peaceful and quiet and yet so close to everything in Sukhumvit. If you're arriving from the airport don't waste your money on a taxi, catch the skytrain to Phaya Thai station interchange onto Sukhumvit line and get off at Nana station, Soi 8 is right there.
