Better than expected!”
Som and the team could not do enough for our group. The resort hosted my friends wedding and the location was perfect. Highly recommend for large groups or families. It is a bit far away from a lot of the popular night spots/restaurants etc so having a car to get around is recommended. Big thanks to the team at Royal Beach Samui for a truly memorable holiday!

We came in under Samui+, vaccinated and with CoE. Ms. Som from reception was super helpful with everything even before we arrived and made our worries about the whole samui+ thing disapear immediately. The Hotel itself is super nice, very clean and also the rest of the staff super nice. We can definitely recommend this place.

Beautiful resort along Lamai Beach”
We have booked a 2 bedroom suite with pool for 6 of us. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable with lots of walking space in the living / dining area. There is a rack in the balcony which made drying of clothes so convenient for us after a swim / dive. The hotel is located along the quieter side of Lamai beach. There are eateries along the street but do not expect any shopping, nearest convenient store is probably about 6-800m away. The staff are friendly and polite. The reception told us there was a temple festival night market down the street so that we were able to take a look. The only negative review is there were 2 huge cockroaches in the bathroom during my 2 days stay. It was quite disgusting. Otherwise, everything is perfect!

This hotel is a pet-friendly resort is situated right by the beach, but the sand is quite rocky. The food was yummy and the staff was very friendly. We got upgraded to the pool villa which is amazing. We enjoyed the stay very much and we will be back again.

Ideal place to relax just 10 mins out of Lamai”
This place is about 10 mins by car or bike from Lamai town area. It is not a very big resort and ideal for couples or families to relax. There is a nice and good size pool in the centre and the beach is good for a dip virtually any time of day. Bar and Restaurant both overlook the ocean and located high giving a nice view. Rooms are modern and very comfortable. Most rooms have a ocean view. This was my first stay outside Bangkok and what I was most impressed was the friendliness of staff. I had to goto Lamai often during the week and paid 200BHT for each one way trip. Most people though hire a bike from the hotel or many places just outside the hotel. Drivers are well behaved in the island and although there is a lot of traffic, it is not chaotic. There are restaurants, ATM.s tailors, massage places, convenience store etc, within a 5 minute walk but I preferred to goto Lamai which has many more options. There are also nightmarkets on given days. Chaweng of course the main area of Koh Samui and we went there to see kick bixing but we had a great stay at Royal Beach. Will definitely come back.

Affordable luxury”
This is truly a boutique resort with only 20 or so rooms. Resort is well maintained and the grounds amd pool are lovely. We stayed in a Jacuzzi suite overlooking the beach and at just under £100 per night it offered so much for the money. Breakfast at the hotel is pretty good and offers most of what you'd expect. It is a buffet but tea and coffee and eggs, bacon etc are ordered and served to you at the table, the coffee is excellent. There are plenty of staff and they provide good service, the hotel even provides it's own taxi service, which was usually cheaper than what resort taxis wanted to charge. The hotel is situated on a very quiet beach at the start of Hua Thanon bay which is south of Lamai bay. The only downside with the beach is the sea bed is quite rocky and so for swimming etc not as pleasant as say the main Lamai beach. However it only takes 10 to 15 minutes to walk to Lamai beach or you can swim in the resort pool.

Excellence hotel”
We have great stay at this boutique resort. Staff able to speak well English. The resort just open since July 2014. Everything is new and nice. Although we just stay a night, we have a great experience and unforgettable stay. With great food/dining, clean & comfortable room, great facilities with my kid can enjoy the playground, pool & jacuzzi. We really enjoy they stay and satisfy with staff performance. Beautiful, affordable, hospitable & clean”
Very comfortable, clean and reasonably priced accommodation with a lovely pool area and its own private beach with pool and beach bar. Good food and very helpful, friendly staff. A little way from Lamai Beach shopping and restaurants but very cheap and quick ride in a taxi or tuktuk. I would recommend to others as it is a lovely quiet oasis away from the hustle & bustle of busy Koh Samui

Fantastic Place”
We stayed there for five days to attend a wedding which was at another resort. The check-in was very quick. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The guy at the door was very quick to hail taxis whenever we wanted them and also negotiated good prices for us. The nearest restaurant, shopping, areas were between Baht 200-400 taxi fare away. The few times we ordered food from room service, they were quick. The only issue which was not a major issue at all was that the draining of water from the wash basin and the shower tray was slow. We didn't complain because it was not a major problem. All in all the stay was very pleasant and I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Koh Samui.

Nice hotel with few issues”
The hotel is beautiful and well kept, the rooms are really clean and tidy. The staff is super friendly, everyone greets you when coming by. Unfortunately there was a wedding the few days we were staying there. On the wedding day they started their "ceremony walk" at 8.30 am directly in front of our little bungalow, with drums and singers. It wasn't quite a big problem but we chose this hotel for total relaxation after 2 weeks of exploring Thailand, so in my opinion the hotel staff could have told us when we arrived. Unfortunately the scooter we rented at the hotel was the worst scooter in our entire holiday. It was in a really bad condition and after half a day riding it, we had to get back to the hotel to get a new one. In my opinion this is not a service suitable for a hotel like the Royal Beach Resort. I was quite disappointed by that. Nevertheless, the beach is really quiet and nice, but the water is very shallow, so no swimming possible. But we liked it anyway!

Great facilities with surprising food”
Everything in the hotel was above and beyond: rooms, pool, staff, service. The food is surprisingly good- a la cart reach breakfast, the restaurant is opened through the day and provides great variety of pretty high level food. The dinner on the beach is a high light. Happy hour twice a day with most of the cocktails for 120 bahts only. The only issue is that the hotel's beach is rocky and very shallow so you really can't swim . It was a bit disappointing and we had to take taxi to Lamai beach which provides all options you can think about. It's a matter of 200 baht and 5 minutes. So not a big deal but still

Secluded boutique beach oasis”
We had an absolutely wonderful 4 day stay at Royal Beach over the Christmas holiday. The staff was so welcoming, accommodating and did so much to ensure we had a wonderful stay! The pictures do not do justice to the beauty of this little oasis. Wonderful pool area with bar, food and delicious cocktails. The views from the two restaurants (one overlooking the beach and one right ON the beach) had a fantastic selection of delicious food. We especially enjoyed the festive Christmas eve dinner. There were so many personalized touches to make our stay memorable at this resort. We would love to return!

Had 4 nights here and it was amazing! Wish it was longer. Didn't think much of the immediate beach, but that didn't matter. Lamai beach was only a short walk away. The pool was fantastic. All the staff could not do enough for you - they were so warm and welcoming. Fantastic sea views, fabulous breakfasts and we didn't have to rush as breakfast served until 12pm. Real life just melted away. Our teenagers felt so relaxed there, good wifi! Dinner on the beach was so romantic - a must do. Can't rate this resort high enough. Definitely had the boutique feel, certainly didn't feel like just a number. Would love to come back here again one day. Thanks so much for your hospitality.

Our family had a wonderful time staying for 2 weeks, our children took to all staff members who were incredibly kind, and considerate throughout our stay. From imthiy the financial controller who doubled up as a driver taking us a round the island, keng, Opal, Em, Apple, and so many more, that all made us feel very welcomed. We celebrated Thailand New Year with the staff members, who were all on great form as we had a resort water fight will other guests. Everyone had good fun. We will definitely come back and highly recommend. Thanks Royal Beach for making Emma's 40th a memorable experience.

Royal Beach Boutique Resort”
Absolutely loved it from the moment we arrived, met at reception with a welcome ice cold towel and cocktail which was refreshing after a very long journey from the UK. Transfer to hotel 20-30 mins. Shown to our rooms which had been upgraded! We were a group of 5 adults so rooms close together was brilliant. Standards of the rooms was impressive! Modern, clean with spacious lounge and fitted kitchen. Terrace overlooking the pool with sea views too. Hotel was very well maintained, always staff pottering around keeping the place very well maintained. Pim and the restaurant staff couldn't do enough for you! Always a smile. Daem and his little helper at the pool bar shaking and stirring our cocktails which were welcome after a lazy day at the pool in the hot sunshine. The food was absolutely delicious and presented very well. I could go on but overall I would definitely recommend this hotel. Restaurants and shops nearby, local bus 100 baht to lamai and chaweng. Would definitely go back!

Beautiful Boutique Resort”
This is a small boutique resort, situated on a cliff at the edge of Lamai offering stunning views out to sea and of Grandfather rock. Forget the previous reviews. This resort is under new management and the improvement is fantastic. The team offered us excellent service from start to finish and could not have done more for us. During our two week stay. The rooms are of a good size, clean and with plenty of piping hot water. With only 23 of them the resort never feels crowded even though it was fully booked during our stay. The only area in need of improvement is the a/c in the Lounge restaurant and the gym. This was being worked on during our stay but not fixed by the time we left. I would 100% recommend this resort to families, couples and solo travelers.
